Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Very friendly helpful staff, not vibe, and good food, but the internet never ever works, even though staff assure you that it does. Also a little heavy on touts hassling you, which there appears to be no security against. Rooms are decent and prices OK.

This place is a good budget Hotel which is central to many things you may wish to do in Manila. Close to major tourist attractions such as Intramurous and Rizal Park! Many amenities are also very close by such as laundry, Money Changers and plenty of ATMs! Friendly staff and the oversight by the owner/Manager Terry makes sure things run smoothly and without ant troubles! It has a safe deposit box in the room which works well and adds to the security of your possessions!
Rooms are acceptable and are made up each and every day even if you rise late after partying in the many bars close by!

Decided after spending a lot of time in manila i should have a look at this hotel. Visited on a Wednesday night and was greeted by a bar full of free lance working girls hanging over the shoulders of drunken loud mouth expats. It was dark and dirty and had an overall feeling of being unclean. Toilets looked like they had not been cleaned in weeks. Staff were not friendly unless you were sitting at the bar pouring drinks down your throat. Would not even consider trying the food in this place after the first impressions.
will not return here again in a hurry, there are better hotels with similar themes on this area that are far more appealing, clean and welcome your business.

Have stayed here many times, but the last visit I'm afraid was the last. Reported to staff that Aircon in room was not working properly, said they would look into, nothing happened. TV's are now so old they probably bought them cheap from the second-hand mart. The elevator works when it wants to, half the time it doesn't. Manager is never ever there, or when he is it's just to show off his girlfriend. Took over half an hour to get missing towels to our room. The only thing good about this hotel is the employed staff, the bar staff are wonderful, service from them is excellent most of the time. Sorry but this hotel has slipped badly in my expectations.

Not much more I can add to what has already been said.
Hugely overpriced, rooms are dirty.....the sentiments echoed by the other recent reviewers.
The shuttle bus(which incidentally is pretty good) finishes it's journey here so hence the hotel gets a lot of walk in customers.....that's what happened to me.....it is a nice little earner for the hotel.
Did have a quick look at other hotels that evening within 500 metres and all were nicer, better priced and better value......as I was headed for the airport the next morn didn't get a chance to personally sample them

I made reservations here based off of decent reviews on TripAdvisor and the fact that I needed a place to go when my plane landed. I was able to catch a shuttle to the hotel, but not without waiting for about 30 minutes and borrowing a cell phone. The location of the hotel was not to my liking at all, in what I later found out was the Red Light District. The Philippines can cause enough culture shock as is but arriving at this hotel and then venturing out for some food among families sleeping on the sidewalk and prostitutes resulted in bad culture shock for me. I barely slept while I was there and found new accommodations as soon as I could in the morning. I wasn't brave enough to venture back to Ermita. I recommend the Tower Inn in Makati.

I just stayed there for one night, since my flight arrived late in the evening! It was my second time... This time they dropped me in a very small and muffy room, no windows...
I requested another one and got it, this time with a window...but still soooo small! There are no real walls between the rooms, it's more like a kind of carton, so I don't have to explain you that I heard everything what was happening in the neighboor room!
The hotels bar is fine and staff are friendly, but the rooms itself are much over prized!
I booked the bus service from the hotel to Angeles, but this time the big bus was broken so we were all packed in a small mini van ... But normally this is a nice service as well!

1) This hotel is not starry one. So those who want everything for meager/no amounts will not like it. The rule for using this hotel is simple: Less money, good value. As i used to use it for sleep, shower, breakfast, i found it good and comfortable.

2) The building is bit old, but rooms/washrooms are clean, spacious, friendly staff.

3) Hotel is right in the close to all things tourists want from city, night-life, beach, embassies, parks, shopping malls, food places. So the area around is busy, but the hotel itself is quite (i stayed at 5th floor and was very comfortable with low/no noise level)

4) There is no proper eating place in this hotel, but a bar which also serves as eating place. I only took breakfasts here which were good, cheap and fresh. For other meals, use numerous other eating places around this hotel.

5) They have shuttle service to many few cities of Philippine, But i didn't use it so cant tell much.

6) I found the staff quite nice and friendly. They helped me with payments. I reached very late in night for check in (0200 AM) and i didn't have any exchanged money, so they were OK with me using the room without paying until next day. Which i liked very much.
