Check in/out- We hired a private transfer and it was approx 40 mins from Bodrum Airport to the hotel. Check in at 1400 and check out 1200. Rooms- This hotel is set over 3 levels. Reception is at street level along with some rooms but restaurant, pool and beach are 2 levels lower. There is a lift within the hotel. There is 1 disabled room which has a wet room and a seat within the shower. There are several ramps around the hotel and a disabled toilet. One ramp in particular is very steep and is difficult to push someone up and down. The access to the pool is via some big steps or a rather unstable plank of wood making the pool inaccessable for wheel chair users. Location- The hotel is directly on the beach front and there is a prom you can walk along to from one end of the beach to the other. Out side the hotel there are many shop, restauarnts, clubs and a large Migros shopping centre. You can catch a Dolmus (Bus) right outside the hotel into Bodrum bus station and costs arouns 40p per person each way. There is no offical time table just wait and wave one down. There is a taxi rank out side also. Use a yellow taxi as they are metered so no need to haggle a price. Tuesday has a large market in Bodrum selling genuine fakes. Beach- The beach is beautiful. Its very shallow and hardly any waves at all. Perfect for children. There are water activities at an extra charge. Plenty of sun beds on the beach and we never had any issues getting one. Food/Drink- The first few days the food was plentiful and tasty but this seemed to decline as our holiday continued. Im not sure if this is due to the hotel closing soon. None of the food has any labels indicating what it was making it at times hard to recognise. The food is all on hot plates however the food was still cold the majority of time even directly after it opened. We spoke to the owners who attempted to rectify the issues. There is 1 bar in the hotel that serves the standard drinks you would expect. Beer, wine, gin, vodka and raki along with a few basic cocktails and the normal soft drinks. Tea/coffee and juice are self service all day. Entertainment- During our stay there was no entertainment during the day. Music would have been nice on the beach. There were a few dance shows on some evenings. Pool, table tannis and darts are available free of charge. This was a 3 star hotel and with what we paid it was as expected. The beach is the main selling point and beautiful.

A bit about our stay at samie beach hotel , we stayed in the anex building, this is just across the road a small one way street and about 15 to 20 meters away , we did not find this a bad as some reviews said there was lighting on the steps and stairs , the room was clean and basic and as I have found in Turkey before the air con did work and yes there was only 2 English channels on the TV but as I'd not gone there to watch TV that is definitely not a problem , the view from the balcony was opstructed by a palm tree and would definitely benefit from a trim , the room was cleaned daily , we did have a problem with the toilet a leak on the water feed this did take around 1day for them to fix but it was fixed . There was a few dogs and cats that roam the area but that's again normal for Turkey no dogs did come into the hotel itself just the beach areas , WiFi is a problem in the anex area as its away from the hotel WiFi range and we was cut off early , we went to reception and it was sorted a day or so later when they realised we needed it to sort our transportation back to the airport , the food was good for us as we like to try different things from the country we are in but this may not suit everyone, the was a very diverse clientèle from German Dutch Polish Turkish Italian and probably more I'm missing , for me and my partner this is not a problem as we like to meat new people from anywhere. The drinks at the bar were ok really a bit ov a choice and they was not tight with the measurements and fairly quick with the service, I always feat safe here and would take my 10-year-old daughter and not feal I had to watch her all the time , the beach is right on the door step and cleaned by the staff and when you are eating in the restaurant there is a fantastic veiw of this , some of the seats where looking a bit worse for where and new cushion covers would be recommended. The pool area was hardly used so sunloungers was always available the beach can be a little harder to get a good spot but we managed it without having to put the towels out at dafty o'clock in the morning so that was ok On the very last day I had left my bag on the back of a chair with my money apox 60 pounds sterling and my passport phone and personal effects I left it there for over 4hrs it wasn't there when I got back but a staff member had handed it in and all was there I don't think they had even opened the bag , all in all it was a very good stay and is definitely a 3star hotel no more no less but that's what we payed for , I would go back again for me and my partner it was worth the money we payed which was under 1000pounds for the two of us for one week including all food drink flights and transfers, thank you samie hotel

We have just returned from our third visit to the Sami this year ! As before, we had a fantastic holiday. We were skeptical at first when we were told our rooms were over in the annex area. But we were delighted to be shown to the most beautiful, little newly refurbished apartment across the road from reception. We had 2 balconies, both with a stunning sea view. The bathroom and bedroom was brand new and it was spotlessly clean. The hotel was almost full this month so they’re was a great atmosphere, however I would recommend getting down to the beach/ pool early for the best spots and also attending the restaurant shortly after opening to get the best of the food. There was slightly less variety of food than previously in June but there was something for everyone and it was all fresh every meal time. The staff are fab and can’t do enough for you, they work so hard 24/7 to ensure everyone has the best experience. Thank you for a fantastic stay. We can’t wait to visit again !!

We have been spent a great time here. I can only say good things about the hotel. The sea is next to the hotel. The food and drinks are delicious. The hotel staff are very kind and nice. I want to highlight the greatness of the animation worker. We had great parties here. Thank you very much!

We stayed at Sami beach hotel for our anniversary from 19th August - 23rd August. Rooms: Since all rooms were booked we got accommodation in Annexe Room which is an entirely separate building from the main hotel. Room was alright but the basic AC and refrigerator didn’t work. The balcony was very shabby. Also, there was no telephone connection to call the main reception. We had to personally visit to make our complaints. No wifi in this building and the staff did nothing about it. Just coddled us that it will be fixed soon (never happened during our stay) Beach: the beach is good and since its private with beach beds and all. It was the highlight of the entire trip. Food/bar: the beach bar is fully functional and good. They have full 3 meals buffets with quite a lot of variety. Loved their food. Entertainment: they had good and fun entertainment nights and it was overall a very fun event for families especially.

Where do I start? We checked in shortly after midnight, arriving to a bunch of people arguing with the hotel staff about the state of their rooms and threatening to leave if their rooms weren’t changed. When we were finally seen, me and my mother filled in the paperwork then were left for 20 minutes whilst the staff went off into the office. We were shown to our room, located in the annex building. The annex is across and up the street from the Sami Beach Hotel and is actually closer to the neighbouring Parkim Ayaz Hotel (which is definitely much more worth your money). Our room was shoddy, scruffy, awfully basic, the TV didn’t work, paint was peeling off the walls, electrical wires exposed, chunks missing out of the wall, the so-called “sea view” was behind a bunch of rooves. The annex is dark, the spiral staircase has huge gaps which make it unsafe, the lock on our door was RUSTING away - we had to put our suitcase behind the door for added security. There were exposed wires coming out of the wall, plug sockets that didn’t work. We asked for a room change FOUR TIMES as reception: the first time we were promised one, the second we were told to come back at lunch, the third we were told they couldn’t do it, the fourth we got told that the “hotel was full” and got shown another shabby annex room. There is no safe, there is no wi-fi other than in the lobby, there wasn’t even cups or teaspoons to make hot drinks in the room. I had to boil the kettle in the BATHROOM because of the awkward placement of the plugs. The noise from the nearby clubs and bars goes on until 3am. The fridge smells. The shower goes from lukewarm to boiling with no in-between, and the water pressure isn’t great. The food is alright but you’d probably cook better meals yourself at home. Very much a poor quality continental European menu, not much for Brits - not even a cooked breakfast. Of the breakfast on offer, one dish was Fruit Loops mixed with Chocolate Cornflakes… make of that what you will. We couldn’t even have toast because the toaster was broken. The lunch and evening meals were okay but certainly not restaurant level. Coffee machine gives out portions too big for the cups and it tastes like chemicals. The entertainment is good if you’re into dancing - different dance genres every night. The bar is okay. The staff can both be quite rude and friendly - we had to speak to the receptionist through Google Translate. The website images are completely misleading, this is an appalling hotel and there are many others in the area which are much better value than the Sami. Never returning. We got moved hotels in the end because we could not stay in that hotel any longer. Avoid Sami at all costs.

Firstly after reading some of the reviews on this hotel before flying out I was worried what we had booked. When we arrived was greeted by a friendly face at reception and a porter to take our luggage who we tipped was very grateful. Our room was by the pool and nice and clean our room was cleaned 13 time out of 14 which was no problem we had clean towels every day and beds changed every 3/4 days There was a smell in our room but no different to any other country as their drainage isn't as good as the UK but we just got some cheap air fresheners from the shop solved the problem. As for staff they are so kind and lovely and was happy to help the lovely Kate and executive chef arranged fried eggs for my partner. Food was absolutely delicious and a good choice some may not to be everyone taste but you are in Turkey. We did the boat trip arranged with Dave beach side of the hotel and was absolutely brilliant food was lovely and Idris on the boat was so helpful Entertainment in the evening is dance shows and don't last very long but are good the best was a Sunday with the breakdancers who we absolutely loved Beach and pool are kept clean and no sunbed wars but believe this is because not a lot of English at the hotel who cause this issue from past experience. Lots of wild tortoises run free around the hotel which was lovely to see and managed to see one born just days ago. Location is perfect lots of shops pharmacy near by to walk from the front of the hotel and bars and clubs Beach side also bars and restaurants to eat we ate at Mango and Denny's both nice food and no complaints If I had a complaint it would be more storage but not a major issue And the shower in our room the bit you hang it on needs a new one again wasn't an issue for us but I'm sure someone would moan 😉 I would go back to Sami beach just remember it is a 3 star so if your wanting more pay more But we as a family had a fabulous holiday And must thank all the staff and management for this and the lovely Ibrihim taking my daughter to get a football shirt

First of all there is no Wi-Fi connection that works.Never reception available. It was one of the worst holidays of our life.People there were quite rude and unfriendly especially restaurant staffs. Our room has changed 3 times, the hotel room was stank of savage badly, bathroom floor was so dirty covered in dirt even blood. The shower head was broken, there were absolutely no entertainment for adults or children. Food is poor there is never real meat they make Turkey look darker in soy sauce and serve Turkey every meal! Bar staff accepted the alcoholic drinks were water down. There is no real coffee in the hotel, just a vending machine with chemical coffee mixed served. We are really really unhappy that we chose this place. The sea is full of seaweed and last week there was a poo swimming in their swimming pool. However we informed the hotel staff and they did not do anything about it.Very loud party town that does not feel safe for families. Regards
