Just spent 7 nights here and we’ve loved it. Don’t get me wrong there is quite a few things that needs addressing and sorting to make this hotel a lot better for guests. Firstly, the staff, this is a family fun hotel and all the staff work so hard and are very friendly. They will always make sure they are giving you the best service. Special thanks to Boris, for always looking after us, for our nice daily chats and just being an all round nice guy! The location, the hotel is literally on the beach, you come out your room and down some stairs and your on the beach. This is where we spent all our days because who doesn’t love the sound of the water? Both of these things made our holiday as well as all the lovely guests we met there. A few negatives but hopefully this will help the hotel to improve things. The hotel is in need of a bit of TLC, the gardens need to be maintained and all the rubbish (broken loungers etc) need to be put in a skip and got rid of. The rooms, are basic but let’s face it, as long as you can shower and sleep it’s fine but what I would say is, the rooms should be cleaned more often than they are now as with it being on the beach the room floors get covered in sand which is not nice to have when getting out the shower. The breakfast, is awful. Who eats Salad for breakfast? Breakfast is the main meal of the day, so they really need to up their game. Add in some cold meats, maybe have an omelet station, they definitely need to cook the scrambled eggs a bit more as they were raw, sloppy and we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat it as it just looked like we would be sick afterwards. Overall, we’ve loved this holiday and hotel… you end up falling in love with the place after you over look the basic rooms and breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Gümbet Cove despite the entire family feeling very unwell to the point that we could barely see much of Bodrum and this is all thanks to the kind, friendly and gracious staff who diligently worked around the clock to take care of us and all their guests. In specific, Taner, Metin and the housekeeping lady, whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, are all so lovely, gentle and provide such meticulous service. We would see Taner work tirelessly from early morning to late night, caring for all the guests, while running around in the scorching heat with no rest. Even still, he always wore such a bright and warm smile, making us always feel comfortable and at home in his presence. His charming wit never failed to make us giggle and feel lighter despite how unwell we were all feeling. Similarly, Metin was so considerate and thoughtful of our concerns especially when our mother was so poorly; because of his compassionate service, we could spend a restful time at the hotel and had our needs met with regards to recovering from our ailments. The housekeeping lady, whom we also saw working tirelessly every single day, was beyond sweet to us and helped us carry our luggage so kindly. She had an innate soft and affectionate nature about her that made her presence very reassuring. Our hearts ached at how hard they worked. So please take care of them and share kindness with them when you visit. And please do visit, the staff alone will make your time in Bodrum unforgettably relaxing and magical without a doubt.

Me and my best friend stayed in Room 113 1st floor , and it was lovely, from checking in to checking out staff we fabulous, all staff , room was cleaned every day , new towels , and even flowers on the bed , with a little towel made boat , the beach was only 2 mins walk in the garden of the hotel , pool was lovely and clean , the balcony was a really good size and had lovey flowers climbing around it . food was lovely and great prices , we did go off and do a boat trip arranged by the royal restaurant, and a great price picked up and dropped off to our hotel ,
This hotel is rated a 2 star , which to me think is far to low . We traveled with jet2 and I must we got a really good deal , but taking that out it’s should have a better star rating !!! We loved it so much we’re heading back in a couple of months and can’t wait ,
Thank u for Having us , can’t wait to see u again soon x x x

When we first arrived my friend and I looked at each other and thought where the hell are we. We then got our room it was OK. We eventually went towards the beach and wow absolutely stunning view of the small beach. As we walked down we both said beautiful place but so much TLC needed. It was just a dumping ground for old broken sunbeds and sunbed toppers in the grounds.

The breakfast was typical Turkish which would have been OK if it wasn't left out uncovered. Flys were all over the food and the butter had gone rancid. The bread was covered but nothing else. If you were there early and they were just putting thing's out we would eat. The food that you paid for was very nice. The alcoholic drinks were expensive and when you got a short and mixer you couldn't taste any alcohol in it.

I'm a 63yr old woman and my friend is 50 and I have never felt so vulnerable and unsafe in a hotel in all of my 40yrs going abroad. I was bullied by grown men just because I recommended Ozzies boat tour's and the couple asked me to book them on. The man on the beach accosted me and told me I had taken food out of his children's mouths. After that the manager his wife, son and most of the staff gave me dirty looks and wouldn't speak if I asked a question. We were frightened to buy food there because we didn't feel safe doing so. We got jet2 involved and eventually it stopped but then I came back from the pharmacy and the son and the male receptionist said thing's jeeringly in Turkish so I couldn't understand but it was frightening because I was alone. Then the day we was going home all friendly but too late our holiday had been spoilt.

I would never go to this hotel again because of the disrepair and bullying treatment.

This hotel is just perfect for those used to the Turkish experience. In the quiet area of Gumbet but local within walking distance to the main streets of the town.

The rooms are clean and adequate with a balcony, TV and Bathroom, and are cleaned every other day with a towel and bedding change.

Traditional Turkish breakfast buffet served daily with a huge choice of items from bread, cheese, eggs, fruit, Turkish sausage, also cereal, honey and Nescafé Coffee, Fresh Orange Juice and Turkish Tea.

If you want an “English Breakfast” then there’s plenty of choice elsewhere.

Lovely pool and bar area which was hosed down and cleaned every night. Plenty of Sunbeds and Umbrellas for sunbathing. The hotel is literally right on the beach with further sunbeds and a beach bar.

Overall a gem of a place and traditionally Turkish.

😎

We were temporarily unable to travel to our new home in Indonesia due to the pandemic. We were fortunate to find this beautiful gem. The family and staff who run the hotel were very helpful......even rescuing my husband when he got a flat tire on his bike a long way from the resort. The location is absolutely spectacular. Our view was delightful, and the private beach and grassy area above were splendid for watching the sunset. The staff provided everything we needed, gave fantastic recommendations, and ensured our month was memorable. I had to work and needed good wifi which they provided as well. We miss you all, Gumbet Cove!

Always get the best service in this nice and charming hotel ❤. Great sea view and delicious food in the restaurant were you're sitting in sea front eating. There is pool for those who wants that and for us enjoying sunbathing by the sea it's only a few steps from your room or the restaurant.

Ideal location and fabulous sea view rooms if available. The bar staff were very nice and did everything they were asked.
However rooms were not great, poor furniture, beds like concrete and showers that had no hot water for several days and fittings held together by 1 screw.
Prices in Gumbet resort have shot up so Turkey isn’t now a cheap holiday

Stayed 2 weeks in this hotel. It was spotlessly clean. Lovely pool and sun beds on the beach. We had nice little balcony outside our room with a good view of pool and the sea. It had a rail were you could hang your wet clothes which was a bonus. The breakfast was not great but you get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly and obligeing. If I returned to Gumbet would stay here again

Lovely little hotel the view from the restaurant is fantastic over looking the bay, grounds kept very clean and pleasant pool area, we had room 135 over looking pool, the room was spacious, shower was bit hit & mis, toom was in need of update, had air con it was needed but made a noise like a tractor. our cleaner was best ever had she was brilliant ruhan think her name was. The breakfast was ok something for everyone even if was bread jam, on the second day of our stay there was no toaster, it had broke and never replced it which think it should have been, heard quite a few guest ask about it.
