We stayed as a family of 3 at DUJA Bodrum for 11 nights at the end of May, beginning of June this year.
We absolutely loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
As the other reviews say, rooms are cleaned, the staff are so good and the hotel surroundings are stunning.
Our room was definitely a bit tired but it really didn’t matter as we only washed and slept in there as was too much fun to be had all day to be sat in the room.
The all inclusive was great for breakfast and the pool snack bar and beach snack bar for lunch and food all day. The evening buffet did get repetitive but we broke it up with the a la carte restaurants, all of which were a really nice experience.
The drinks flowed! A big thank you to Yusuf and the team for the strawberry daiquiris and fruit mojitos, and to the lovely guy in Starbucks, who smiled all day despite a long queue, and took it in his stride.
The animation team were brilliant, laid back and good fun. I enjoyed Aquagym with Rio, my son and husband enjoyed activities with Arder and a special mention for resident yogi Nida.
The TL is in a bad way and minimum wage is about £12 a day for a lot of the staff, so we did tip here and there, which was greatly appreciated, but never expected.
Other great staff we would like to say thanks to are Erkan and Emrah from the pool snack bar and Italian a la carte, Kasim who served us in the main buffet at night and had our table and drinks waiting, a true pro, all the Guest Relations team, including Enes, for whom nothing was too much trouble, including printing out boarding passes out for our return home, our favourite mixologist Selcuk in the Lobby Bar, or Top Gun bar as my son called it due to Selcuk’s amazing cocktail / mocktail making skills. A great place to sit and watch the sun go down and chill. We loved it.
We had been told that the airport was a rip off for sandwiches etc and at breakfast on our last day Sahan and Musa at breakfast kindly gave us packed lunch boxes so we could make sandwiches for the airport. Thank you!
Our TUI rep Joe was a great guy and so knowledgeable about Bodrum and really helpful with any queries we had. We booked via him for my husband to go out to the hamman for a Turkish bath, which he loved, a day trip taking in all the ancient history of Bodrum, which we would also recommend and a trip to the market at Turgetries, which was good fun and we got our genuine Turkish fakes. I would probably get a taxi instead if we went to the market next time just as I think it would have been quicker.
We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary while we there and booked a premium pavilion out on the deck at the beach for the day, which was wonderful and a real treat.
All in all, for what we paid, we had a great holiday at the DUJA and will definitely be back….

We had the pleasure of staying at the Duja in April 2021. The views are breathtaking, the accommodation built into the hillsides of Torba and the resort maintains a perfect balance between luxury and nature.

The staff were amazing, incredibly professional and attentive. We were checked in by Alper from Guest relations and this charming individual made us feel welcome immediately and set the tone of our stay in this wonderful resort.

We booked directly with the hotel after speaking with Kardelen in the sales department who arranged a fantastic room for us which was perfect, above the main pool area and close to the bars and main restaurant. With our two young children, she couldn’t have picked a more ideal room for us. They could explore and play with their friends and we could keep an eye on them from our balcony.

The resort feels very safe and we were happy from our children to roam freely. All of the staff were excellent and friendly, special thanks to Uğur from the entertainment team, Kardelen from the pool bar, Alper and Cansu from guest relations, you all made our stay superb. We also had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Alaattin Bey, who really focuses on ensuring that his guests will be repeat guests from the excellent training of his team.

The A la Carte restaurants were not open during our stay due to it being low season combined with a lack of tourism due to COVID. However, that wasn’t a problem as the selection from the main buffet was plentiful and the standard was superb. I’m a big fan of Turkish Meze and the Meze here was truly delicious.

There is an on-site Starbucks next to the pool bar (free of charge) with a selection of Starbucks Classics which was a nice touch.

The drinks were of a good standard, local spirits and draught Efes served at the pool bar and premium spirits served at the bar in the main building below the patisserie.

The cave/tunnel leading to the beach was really interesting, with a section displaying the Stalagtites and Stalagmites formed there. The decked area is lovely, the water crystal clear. The only criticism here is that guests place towels on the sun loungers early in the morning and leave them there all day. This unfortunately meant that we couldn’t find empty sun loungers in this area. The hotel explained that if a sun lounger is left unattended for more than two hours they will collect the towels from there, but we never managed to get a free lounger. Not the hotels fault but the selfishness of the guests.

Great stay in a well managed resort and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Although our room was right next to the kids pool (4921) it was really quite, in case you’re tired and want to go to the main building you can call the reception and ask for a cart, a huge plus in our room is that its really close to the exit.
Bahar and Yacoub in the reception were very welcoming and helpful whenever you have a request or any questions they will gladly help you. Also Uzgul always left our room spotless clean and was extremely friendly she always greeted us with a beautiful smile. The bartenders are very professional and made very delicious cocktails, if you’re looking for something new order “ Special cocktail” each bartender has a special blend; note that the cocktails are light so if you want more alcohol just ask for it, I’d like to thank Siren and Seda for their great service in the pool bar. The food is extremely delicious there are various meals and snacks throughout the day by the pool and the beach( snacks such as waffles, icecreams, burgers, fries… are from 12-5pm ) and for coffee lovers there is Starbucks for free by the pool but it closes at 5pm. There are lots of activities by the pool everyday, you can order shisha for 170-240tl and popcorn for 50tl and the pool bar is opened until 12am. Overall our whole stay felt like paradise and we’re definitely coming back next year.

This hotel was definitely not a 5 star as advertised.

The views were amazing, the hotel as a whole was decent, more like a 3 star. rooms were basic. The food was good but got a bit boring toward the end. The seafood restaurant was amazing.

Down sides, if you don't tip the staff instantly you wont get 5 star service, you're almost ignored. The staff at the snack bar next to the pool were very rude, the manager was the worst!  Shouting at me as I went to grab the food from the service section that had been sitting there for 20 mins, after I asked the waitress for it to be  switched to a paper plate to be taken to the pool area as requested for takeaway.
Also the cleaner, whom I saw on the second day as I was leaving for the pool. At this point I had no cash to tip as my husband had taken the little cash we had exchanged at that point down with him, so was unable to tip. From that day onward she took away used towels and shower mat and refused to replace for the remaining 5 days, every day I call up and order towels and guest relations were very rude when I tried to complain and hung upon me 2 days in a row.
It seems the policy in the hotel is only to serve customers that tip. I have stayed at many all inclusive and always tip for good service and have not had to tip upfront to receive the service.
I was also shocked to learn the hotel does not offer an Iron, only an ironing service charged per item between 5-8 euros.

Finally having a late flight, we asked if we could have late check out, we were advised there was no room avaibale and that we could shower in the spa. Which was fine however there was only 2 showers in each changing room and a coach full leaving at the same time. luckily we got in the showers at 3pm those that tried to shower after 5pm for 7pm pick were unable to shower.

Dear Guest 758amritg, We would like to thank you very much for choosing to stay at Duja Bodrum as your holiday destination in Turkey. We do receive so many positive comments on our staff and service that it is disappointing to hear that we have let ourselves down on this occasion. All of our team works here at Duja Bodrum with no expectation such as tipping. My team and I always available to speak about any queries or suggestions our guests may have for us. We pride ourselves with offering exceptional experiences and providing “hospitality from the heart” to all our guests, and your review certainly does not reflect the standards of the hotel and the service we strive to deliver every day. Concept details of our hotel have been shared with all contracted agencies. You can easily access these details at the booking process as well. As you may already know, the late check-out is subject to availability based on our occupancy levels for the day. We do hope that you will reconsider visiting us again so that we can offer you a memorable experience that you should have experienced the first time round. Kindest Regards, Cansu ISIK Guest Experience Manager Duja Bodrum

Our stay in Duja Bodrum was horrible. It was very crowded, some of the staff did not even use gloves and masks when serving our drinks. Buffet was organized poorly, and you had to face other guests face to face when you wanted to eat anything. Very few choices of food, and they were tasteless. I had much better food in much much cheaper hotels. Our room needed renovation, the door did not close properly, air condition worked but not very adjustable, sink was clogged. They made us wait at the reception and the parking area was full. The restaurant areas were overcrowded with guests and there was no social distancing. We had to stay 2 nights and checked out 2 days early due to a meeting I had to attend, otherwise we would have left immediately. We read and believed at the good comments which now we regret. Duja Bodrum do not deserve the money it asks, dont go there unless you enjoy a low quality stay for a high price.

Dear Guest; Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience. We took note of your feedback of the structure. While we sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused, your constructive comments will be regarded for future consideration, thereby giving us the opportunity to enhance our quality products. We would like to underline that our staff is constantly disinfecting their hands and wearing hygienic gloves. The virus only infects you when you contact with common surfaces and we would also like to remind you that gloves do not protect you properly unless you change them frequently. We organized our facility concerning the social distancing. However, we cannot force our guests to follow certain rules, we also have to consider that you are having a relaxed and delighted holiday experience at Duja. Nevertheless, we are sorry for your disappointment and we kindly remind you that you can always contact with us regarding to a problem that you are experiencing, and all of our staff will be working on solutions to provide you a better holiday experience. Again, we are really sorry that despite our very best efforts you did not experience remarkable service and hospitality understanding of Duja. We have visited Turkey many times but this is the 1st time to Bodrum and we loved every minute of it. The hotel is only 25 minutes from the airport and is beautifully situated on the side of a hill overlooking your own private beach.
The most important thing I will say about this trip is the staff are absolutely brilliant and could not be anymore helpful. They are always smiling and happy to see you.
A special mention must go to Berat who met us when we first arrived and welcomed us to Duja. We met him every day and he always made sure we were having a great holiday and if we needed anything we just had to ask.

Also a special mention to Gulcin in the guest experience team for helping us watch the last football game of the season back home. The team gave us a private meeting room tso we could enjoy the whole atmosphere without disturbing other guests.
The food is excellent and there are plenty of bars all around the complex also the entertainment has been amazing with magicians, acrobats and live music.
We also used all the spa facilities which were great.

It's only a 10 minute bus journey to Bodrum cost 10TL.
You must visit the harbour and its restaurants. There is also great shopping here and a big bazaar for your bargains.

We leave tomorrow 😔 but our family will definitely be back.

Thank you Duja Hotel for a wonderful experience ❤️ ❤️

We visited Duja Hotel in August, on arrival the check in was a little slow but the staff were all very friendly and once checked in we used the buggies to take us down to our room.

Our room was quite basic, but clean and tidy and we didn't mind as we wasn't planning on spending much time in their. Be careful of the mosquitoes though as we seemed to get eaten alive during the night (take your sprays)

The pool area was clean, tidy and always plenty of sun beds available. Also towels were available so don't worry about packing your own, towels are also provided at the beach too. The beach had fantastic views however it was quite rocky under foot and wasn't for us.

The hotel was huge, plenty of places to get a drink, we used the snack bars during the day and the main restaurant in the evening. The food was good, we always found something to eat (even the fussy child was ok) we used the al a carte restaurants twice, the Italian was OK, we felt it was quite rushed and the food was nothing to special, the Turkish was amazing and I would definitely recommend that one!! The Starbucks drinks were all fab, the iced lattes were a favourite to cool down with!

Our tui rep (Joe) was around most of the time and if not he was easily contacted, we booked our trios through him. The boat trip was a lovely day out and the adventure fun was fantastic for the kids, I would recommend both! We also went on the market tour, cheaper than taking a taxi and you get some sights before heading down to the shops.

The entertainment team were great, not pushy at all but if you wanted to join in they were fab! Ahmed was our favourite, letting my 7 year old play darts and have a go at some of the games. We didn't use kids club but the ladies were friendly and always made the time to say hello.

We had a fab stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends! Thank you DUJA

I’ll start with the positive things. Totally loved the location, the structure and huge territory. Stairs are awesome bonus for a daily workout👌🏻 Food was good, expected more, but it was okay. Very poor variety for breakfast for some reason, nothing had changed in 7 days. Cleaning service was impeccable, every day we came back to a nicely arranged room. Bravo! Unfortunately I can’t say the same things about restaurant staff, as waiters and service were horrible. In a main restaurant it would take 15 minutes to get a fork and knife at a diner, so I had to complain to the manager one day, but his English was very poor, like most of the staff. Nobody cleaned dirty dishes, unless we left,so we just had to sit in a pale of dirty dishes. When we asked for water or something, waiters had no problem saying “this is not my table” and nobody else would show up.
Animation super poor, same guy every where: pool aerobics, kids club and karaoke. Really nothing cool was going on.
Water park is a hell of a different story. Why is it open only 2 times a day for like 3 hours? It makes it so crowded because of that. Extremely poor safety bars on it, once it is closed. Kids and even adults did go on after it was closed, and 2 times my kid was hit by someone, who went there without authorization and when slides were closed. Every time I would complain to a lifeguard I simply heard “my shift was done at 5pm, there is nothing I can do”. So unprofessional! Somebody can be seriously injured, and hotel will be liable for that! Also you guys shouldn’t be serving anything in Starbucks branded cups, when you add drip coffee from your own machine..unprofessional again! Chinese restaurant has nothing to do with Chinese food, don’t waist you time. Tasteless and disgusting. Anatolian restaurant on the other hand was good, delicious food and amazing service. Overall we had a good vacation, because of the company, but Duja has a lot of things to work on!

Dear Mariana, Many thanks for choosing to stay at Duja Bodrum as your holiday destination in Turkey. We do serve different types of menus and contents to our guests at the main buffet restaurant. But as you would appreciate, every person has own palatal delight and sometimes we can not meet the expectations for the mouth-pleasing of each. We do always getting the positive feedbacks about the main restaurant menus from our guests. Entertainment shows and live music events organising as weekly – for the day and the evenings. Our concept has been shared with all the agencies and also on our official website with its all details. Also, we do give the information about the resort while our guests making the check-in process. The aquapark operating hours written on our concept and stated with an information board nearby the aquapark. All the guests can read those informations easily by the signs. We do serve with Starbucks' original products as a free of charge in our concept. As I checked on our system , you’ve stated us that everything was good at the resort and we did not get any negative issues from you. We would like to get a chance for taking your negative feedbacks regarding these issues when you were inhouse guests We, as Guest Experience Team could follow your requests and help you for any assistance. Unfortunately, we've just read your experiences from this channel after your check-out. Stay with love, Kindest Regards Cansu ISIK Guest Experience Manager Duja Bodrum

We have just checked in! Waited 20 minutes at the entrance for shuttle, the room was not ready even though it was 7:30 pm. Minibar was empty, safe was not working, sink was half full! We were hungry so we went for dinner, it was so crowded that couldn’t find a place to sit. Social distance and masks were gone! Only staff was wearing and they were so busy that couldn’t see anyone calling them. Not safe for the staff! There are not enough staff to handle this holiday village. After having a quick dinner by our own efforts (I cleaned the table and found forks and knifes, glasses and plates by myself) we turned back to room but minibar was still empty without water! They said that too many people come, above their expectations! We are going to check out tomorrow! Risky place for stay!
