Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took my 18 year old daughter here for her birthday and we absolutely loved this hotel. It’s in a great location with Bodrum town centre located just 10 minutes away by car. You can get the shuttle bus from down the road which is an easy to do. The food was delicious. All I would say is the sun beds get taken really early so bear that in mind. Also not much to do in the evenings when you’re young. The spa was a treat and we both enjoyed some treatments but they aren’t cheap! We are planning another trip this year.

The best holiday I've every been on, gorgeous views, pools and sea were a great temperature, the water sports guys were super friendly along with the rest of the staff. Food was so good, we still can't stop thinking about it months on. the rooms were super clean, and spacious with a free minibar with water and fizzy drinks too! everything was just perfect. cannot wait to go back.

Pros- beautiful location, shallow warm sea, amazing private hotel only boat trip directly from the water sports area (you can get them to knock the price down), quick taxis into Bodrum less than 10 mins and around 270 turkish lira. Quiet resort most suited to older people who are happy to stay on the complex and don't want too much going on. Cons-UK Oct half term is end of season and everything is literally shutting around you. No entertainment, no a la Carte restaurants open, seating being condensed, buffet being condensed, staff seem knackered and uninterested. As per other reviews there is nothing to walk to so it makes for a very quiet complex. Swimming pools are very cold at this time of year but the sea was very nice to swim in. Food-i'm a fussy/plain food eater and this was not a good hotel for me, my husband will eat anything but he rated the food as 3 star not what you'd expect in a 5 star resort. Cocktails were yuck as the spirits are cheap. Sadly I can't recommend this hotel as it really wasn't 5 star and didn't meet our expectations.

Me and my family stayed in the samara hotel and my experience with the hotel was not the best however the animations team really helped make my trip memorable. One of the staff member from the animations group came up to us and was so nice she made us feel so welcome, got invited out with them and we had the best time ever! Rasime and Askın We’re like family, the most amazing people to talk to with great hearts ♥️ will definitely see them again.

Came end of September/beginning of October. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms in the main building were spacious and cleaned daily with the minibar and coffee replenished. Couldn’t hear any noise from the hotel room and the air con was sufficient. Great selection of food, different everyday. even the snack bar was great. Cocktails were the usual watered down kind despite the large selection. They did however have their own alternative to aperol spritz which tasted almost identical. Beer was great as they had efes on tap. We were a large group of females and sometimes felt like we were being ignored by the female bar staff when waiting to order a drink. The disco bar was quiet and boring but that’s normally the case for an on site hotel disco so it didn’t bother us. On the first night the animation team encouraged us to go to a nightclub along with other guests from the hotel. Don’t go to this! The club will try and sell you VIP booths and Vodka ice buckets for a hefty price. Have a feeling the animation team might make commission from this. The boat trip from the hotel was okay. Good if you want to relax on a boat and the food was great with soft drinks included. The drop off points weren’t very exciting. The fish a la carte was lovely, we left it too late and was only given the choice of the fish a la carte as the Turkish was booked up for the rest of the holiday. This was still enjoyable and had a lovely view of the hotel complex as the restaurant is on a terrace. Always managed to find a sunbed and had fresh beach towels every day. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but you can find a cheap bus just outside of the hotel that takes you into bodrum. Overall, great holiday. Would recommend.

We booked this hotel 1 week before we arrived via booking.com. I travelled with my partner his 8 y.o daughter and his elderly father. We didn’t expect much as the hotel was quite cheap and was coming to the end of season but had read the reviews which were quite promising. We arrived around 9pm and were greeted by very friendly reception staff and porter, we had asked for two rooms next to each other and the hotel had actually given us an adjoining room with shared balcony which was perfect for our requirements. The rooms were very clean and big looks like they had been refurbished in recent years, shower was brilliant only thing that let it down was the hairdryer which wasn’t great if you’re in a hurry. Cleaned every day to s high standard, valuables very safe in the room safe box. The food in this hotel I thought was very reasonable for an all inclusive. I was expecting the worst after previous cheaper all inclusive resorts but was pleasantly surprised, lots of variation each evening with a chef special every night, the kitchen team work very hard to provide good quality tasty food. The puddings are amazing! My favourite was the rock cake and the wet cake. One tip, if you want to be looked after tip the waiting staff - it gets very busy inside the restaurant in the evenings, we expected that we would have table service drinks but that wasn’t the case, the first few nights we ended up going to get our drinks and struggling to find a table. We clocked on on our third night that if we tipped one of the waiters 100lira per night (£3) that he would look after us (and he did) he always had a table waiting for us at lunch in the same spot so our father/father in law could find us. The bars in the hotel are all equipped with lots of alcohol, and they do give very generous measures, which I wasn’t that impressed with. The wine is drinkable. Some of the bar staff in the hotel are a bit grumpy, we laughed it off and put it down to the long hours they work but it certainly didn’t ruin our time. The hotel itself has lots to do, two main pools outside which were cold but not unbearable and one indoor pool which was great as it rained on our first day. The beach is in the hotel itself and is private which again was brilliant for us meaning no one could get lost or wander too far. The spa is also very good, I had a full body massage for €50 and I can honestly say it’s one of the best massages I have had. Well worth the price. We enjoyed some water sports from the beach, water skiing and jetski i felt this was quite overpriced but the view from the sea of torba and the hotel was brilliant. The animation team were great, big shout out to Rasmine who made the day time entertainment fun and helped with the mini disco. I felt that the evening entertainment could have been carried out outside (there is a large theatre with outside bar) as it was still fairly warm in the evenings but the team made the best of it with the indoor meeting room come entertainment venue. We played tennis a few times, the courts are in good condition but the rackets and balls have seen better days, price was good €5 per hour for 4 of us.

I was in the Samara Hotel for a week. I traveled there as a single and can only say that I really enjoyed it. The facility is super nice and the food had a large selection. You can reach Bodrum in 15 minutes by dolmuş. The hotel team was also very committed, I loved the animation team so much. great lovely people! Thank you for the lovely holiday

My wife and I stayed for a week in this super all inclusive resort hotel (room 474), as part of a family group of six. The only negatives relate to a) the very loud club music from a neighbouring hotel on two nights (as referenced in other reviews), b) the absence of some mainstream mixers (ginger ale) c) the location (there are no promenades or places to walk to and from; Bodrum is however easy to access by bus or taxi) and d) the offhand almost unhelpful demeanour of the customer service representative. These were more than outweighed by our positive experiences. Our side-sea-view rooms were large, well equipped and very comfortable, and kept spotlessly clean. The minibar was topped up daily with water and soft drinks. Food was mostly very good, with great choice and quality from an ever-changing buffet. We loved the soups, salads and daily specials, and the terribly tempting range of desserts. Special thanks go to Ali, Kadir and particularly the lovely and hugely funny Denis, for fantastic, friendly service. We used the poolside restaurant for pizza and snacks a few days. We ate fabulous cakes almost every day. We ate once at the poolside a la carte option, which was looked brilliant but was less of a foodie treat. Not really a la carte it offers a set menu which has to be the same for the entire group (except for vegetarians) and for us was a rather variable mezze starter, excellent lamb main and a rather predictable baclava dessert. Thanks to the restaurant and customer service teams for jointly making a birthday celebration memorable, with decorations, fruit and wine, and a marvellous birthday cake. We used the beach and pool facilities most days, but couldn’t fit in spa days or tennis or watersports. It’s worth mentioning that there are lots of cats and kittens in and around the grounds, which most people seemed to like. All in all we had a very enjoyable experience and would recommend the Hotel Samara highly.

Visit September 29th, 7 nights. I travelled with my partner my sister and my brother in law. We normally go to Lara barut for our winter holiday. However the price has doubled this year. Yes its 5 star. And apart fro. The lack of a bar with entertainment it was great. I was reading reviews as we still wanted to go to Turkey. I came across the Samara hotel. I knew as the cost was. More than half the cost of Lara, I wasn't expecting to be blown away. We arrived and my partner and I had room 218. Fabulous room. I had a dressing room . Well it was as near as to one. I loved it. I could go in there relax on the sofa. My partner would watch the football. I had space to leave what I was wearing out. Ladies in my own space lol. Great.. We got to know a few of the staff. They were always pleasant and smiling. No bacardi. Grrr. However. It let me try a different drink. So after a moan. I thought get on with it. I'm a fussy eater. I always found something to eat. I loved the Turkish kebab night. They were very tasty. As I said . I'm soup. Crusty bread and salad. So it suited me. We never really had any complaints about the food. The red wine was nice. I had a glass with dinner. Entertainment is probably the only thing I can complain about. I had a chat with a lot of the senior guests. They also said even a singer, a duet . Someone in the lobby bar. Something would be better than nothing at all. Quite a few said it's the only reason they wouldn't return. May be something for the hotel to think about. They have the Olive tree. We decided to go one night. There was about 8 couples, plus others. We got a drink sat down. The DJ came on. He put house music on. It was awful. Within 10 min every person got up and left. The older couple just wanted a dance it was their Anniversary. Such a shame. Wonderful holiday. However please realise that it's mixed age groups. And waiting at night till 10pm for the dancers to come on. Outside the hotel up the hill. Is may be not for everyone. A singer In the bar would be wonderful.
