Been to Turkey several times, this is honestly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in! Stayed here for 10 nights in September 2019. We are not a fussy couple but we like to get what we pay for and this hotel is a 2 star hotel at best! From the rooms to the food and drink is the worst we have ever had. Felt very let down by Jet2 who no longer go here i believe.

Firstly, one can't judge travel experience on reviews alone, you have to go and discover things for yourself. Also, for the price you pay, it is difficult to justify everything of value. We went to Izer Hotel and Beach Club expecting a lot but when we got there we were a bit disappointed - the rooms were quite basic but safe for our kids and we were right at the end near the tennis courts so the Wi-Fi didn't work very well. But we thought complaining about it and worrying about it would make our holiday an unpleasant one so we chose to look on the bright side. When we went, it was fig season and so the figs kept falling off the trees and they were delicious. The water slide in the big main pool was amazing, my 6 year old boy loved it and my little baby had fun splashing in the shallow end of the pool. The show at night was fantastic and the choreographed dancers did well. We were all asked to dance the night away afterwards. We also got to know some of the staff there, a Turkish marketing professional and a Ukrainian/Turkish couple working there who were very friendly. In fact, I still follow them on Instagram! I would say, don't go expecting the world. It is not best resort in Turkey for you are bound to get disappointed but you can make the most of it, have some fun and let your hair down.

Rooms are old and very noisy and in desperate need of updating. Toilets leak water constantly into the pan which causes the system to self flush every couple of mins. The food is just Ok, the all inclusive drinks (spirits) are cheap imitations The location is great, the staff are all very nice and friendly but ultimately this hotel is a 2☆ hotel that's in desperate need of updating. This hotel has been sold and is due to be DEMOLISHED at the end of the 2020 season. You will be very disappointed if you book

Family travelled here in August with two girls aged 12 and 9. We thought the family room was a bit small for four people. Cleaned but not very well, I had to buy my own toilet bleach and spray to clean bathroom properly. Not enough towels given but it was easy to take what we needed from the carts when housekeeping came around! Pools were ok, nice, friendly lifeguards on the slides. Had to leave towels out early, not necessarily because there were not enough but limited number of parasols and you need shade in August. Food OK, some evenings very long queues for bbq items, sometimes we gave up waiting. Not as much choice as we've had on other our other holidays to Turkey. Not enough tables at times. Too many stray cats encouraged to feed from and sometimes on the tables. I had to tell a few people that cats were eating from their plates when they were getting something else from the buffet. I love cats and we have a cat, but I don't want one sitting on the table when I'm eating. Especially when there are 3 or 4 and they decide to have a fight ON THE TABLE! Breakfast choice limited, hubby and kids had something but most days I didn't bother to go. The animation staff were nice young girls, but young man with quiffy hair had a very inflated opinion of himself! Loved watching him round the pool chatting to ladies then scuttle off when their husbands appeared! Worst gym equipment I've ever seen, right in the middle of the damp smelling reception for the spa. It was dreadful. Best things about this hotel are the lovely, well kept grounds and very nice staff. Bearing in mind our language barriers we always managed understand each other in the end! Great staff at the pool bar, we had great, freshly prepared lunches everyday. Went to Bodrum a few times, 10 minutes in a taxi. Had some lovely meals next to the sea. I would definitely return to the area, just not this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for one week in sept. We did enjoy our holiday here. The gardens and grounds are very lush and well kept and the pool areas are nice especially the pool near the beach where we spent most of our time. Sunbeds could be more comfy. Needed cushions. The surrounding landscape is very pretty and it was a lovely area to stay. The room we had was adequate-small and very basic but everything worked and it was very clean and tidy. Food was ok. I’m vegan so I need to have things like beans in my diet in place of meat/ fish. I only had an option for anything with beans at breakfast. Everyday I had more or less the same food to eat which was salad as there weren’t many options for hot food suitable for vegans that is nutritionally good. Having said this I am quite happy eating salad but would be nice to have a bit more choice. My husband is not vegan and he found the food just ok as well- nothing he really was wowed by. Drinks were ok too. Efes beer and red, white or rose wine-no sparking which was a real pity. Nice to see drinks served in reusable glasses round the pool rather than the usual disposable plastic ones. Not good to see plastic straws still being used though. I had an issue with the noise pollution-at night the neighbouring hotel would play music til quite late on some nights and it was very loud making it hard to sleep. Hotel is in need of an overhaul-very tired decor being the main problem. However we heard from other guests the Izer is due to be taken over by neighbouring larger hotel so I guess this review will be one of the last as it’s now closed for the season. I give the hotel 3 stars on this review cos the noise at night, the food not being quite good enough and the fact the hotel is in need of renovation.

Well, where do I start? Before booking this place, my wife and I had read the reviews {doesn't everyone} and now we're astounded that some of the reviews were actually written. Let's look at the accommodation ~ small rooms that are dated, grubby with small windows so not much light getting in. Our 1st room {we demanded a move} had a small window in the bathroom that, when I tried to open it, the rusting handle fell off. Food ~ very small choice and most of that was tasteless. There are 2 hotplates in the "restaurant" with 4 food trays in each. For EVERY breakfast, 3 of these had "pastries" in {a bit like sausage rolls but without any filling}, one had another pastry with some sort of cheese on it, one had boiled eggs, one had baked beans, one was labelled as sausages and these tasted like very tough, bland chipolatas, with the final one containing scrambled egg {obviously powdered egg that was running in water}. There were choices of various cheeses, cold sausage meats, some salad, cereals and jam. However these all seemed to be the cheapest possible and very unappealing. And this was EVERY DAY!!! You could have a glass of fresh orange juice, but only if you paid 10 lira for each. As an example, the butter was not edible ~ tasting like rancid cheese ~ we learned to eat our bread without butter during our 10 days here {thank goodness we didn't book for longer}. There were omelettes served at breakfast but only one cook, on one station, cooking them to order, so there was usually a queue of around 15 to 20 minutes to get one. Lunch and dinner were similar with the main ingredient being meatballs ~ served as fried, grilled, in a sauce or crammed together as a kind of meatloaf. There was grilled fish sometimes and this was reasonably edible. The rest of the food was bland, tasteless and always seemed to be the cheapest possible option. We were so unimpressed with the food that we always tried it then decided to eat out on 5 of the days ~ not great for an "all inclusive" hotel. The drink ~ one choice of beer / lager and that was Efes. Now I normally like Efes but this was watered down, flat and tasteless. The other drinks were similar ~ G&T was weak and bland; as was the brandy coke. If you wanted a cocktail, you have to pay an extra 30 lira each ??????? When we ate out, it was great to taste REAL beer and G&Ts. The entertainment was "low level" ~ one evening Dancing in the amphitheatre was some of the staff tramping around for 20 minutes and then trying to get people from the audience to join in ~ a comical farce. Another karaoke night lasted 10 minutes and 2 songs. One evening's turn didn't appear and when I asked why, I was told that it was because it had rained??? But that was around 4 hours previously and it was dry since. The 2 acts we did see, sang mostly Turkish songs ~ granted we are in Turkey and around 50% of the people staying here are Turkish ~ just so people are aware. Some "reviews" mentioned fresh tuna and veal ~ REALLY???? We never saw either. There was some tuna salad ~ made with tinned tuna and some types of watery stew that had "veal" in it but this was tough, dark coloured meat {I did taste it}. We all think that a lot of these reviews are written by the staff here, or by friends as they are so blatantly wrong!!! This is a one star / maybe two star at best. We won't be back, that's for sure and wouldn't advise anyone else to visit either.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were left to our own devises! We were not shown around the complex, or told any information about the hotel/activities available. When we were shown to our room, we were not told how to work the air con or wifi. Very independent! The room was very basic and outdated, was in need of a good clean and a paint job! but never the less, it done the job! However, later on, as we were walking through the lobby, the manager stopped us and apologised for the lack of information, and told us all about the hotel and everything we needed to know (including the available bus outside the hotel, travelling to Bodrum, which took about 10-15 minutes for 3TL). The manager (Erdem) was lovely, spoke good English (which was useful as a lot of the staff didn't)! He always greeted us if he saw us around, and made sure we felt welcome. The food was absolutely amazing! Outside there was a fresh grill for dinner every night, where they cooked fresh Tuna fish, Steak, Kebabs, Veal, and spaghetti and chips too! The food was 10/10, and me and my boyfriend most definitely ate our moneys worth! The puddings were amazing, and there was also a snack bar by the pool which served from 12-5pm (burgers, chips, pizzas)... all very tasty! The pools and beach were lovely, very spacious and you never had worries finding a sunbed at any point in the day! The facilities on sight were very good! There was a shop, hair dressers, photographers on sight, a gym and massage parlour. The massages provided were a little more priced that others we had seen, but never the less, was absolutely amazing! The girls were really friendly and extremely talented! we even went back at the end of the week to book again!! The staff were mostly friendly - despite the lack of English spoken. They would greet us as we walked around the hotel, offer us to take part in trips or activities and would cater to our needs during lunch/dinner times. It was a bit confusing about drinks service at dinner times, we were not sure whether it was self-service or whether they were meant to offer and serve us drinks (which didn't always happen). To cut a long story short, I absolutely loved this holiday and loved the hotel! I personally would be back to stay again!

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here in September 2019, we are a young couple from the UK. The hotel is nice, not as luxurious as some others but is still good. The hotel itself is split in 2 (the hotel side and the club side) if you are on the club side in the evenings you’ll get music from the amphitheatre but this did not bother us too much. The rooms are quite basic but are clean and do the job. There are 2 pools, as well as the beach. We did not have any trouble finding sun beds any time of day which was great. The view from the beach is stunning and the weather was perfect (around 30 degrees) The food in the hotel is amazing! There was lots of options and they have “specials” each day such as tuna steak, beef steak, Turkish kebabs, sea bass etc. Also the desserts were amazing! The pool bar serves “snacks” such as pizza, burgers etc all day. I can’t fault the staff one bit, they were all so friendly and helpful. They even remembered our drinks order every night so we didn’t even have to ask! However there were a few things that let the hotel down a bit. On the jet 2 website it said free WiFi. However we could not get WiFi in our room, only by the hotel pools (even then it was a bit dodgy!) so it’s luck as to which room you’re put in if you’ll get WiFi or not. Also the “gym” was very disappointing. It is just a few pieces of cardio equipment and dumbbells in the entrance to the spa. It is very hot and stuffy and smells of insense! Overall a good holiday!

Usually, I write positive reviews, once we are back home but, on this occasion, I felt it'd be fresh in my mind to write whilst still in resort. Whilst staff are friendly, the hotel is very dated and most areas are really tired and in need of immediate upgrade. Rooms are sparce with few frills, although they are reasonably clean and beds are comfy. Bathrooms have the cheapest and most basic shower gel, no shower cap, tissues etc, unlike other, real 4*hotels. But, by far, the restaurant is the most disappointing aspect of this hotel, with minimal choice, overcooked food (rice is always really stodgy, for example) cold food, no a-la carte restaurant, to break up the monotony and, if you're vegetarian, vegan or Coeliac, you've little chance of eating much at all. So far, meatballs have been on the menu, in various guises (with sauce, without sauce, boiled, grilled) every day!! We're on day 5 and I'm tiring of seeing them! Food is of poor quality with a lit of repetition and, again, it appears to be the cheapest cuts of meat they serve. Vegetables are in limited supply so salads are the preferred option. Butter is awful and smells like gone-off cheese, ugh!! Again, the cheapest that's available. The irritating fact is this hotel is advertised as 'All Incusive' however, it's not, as there many common drinks that you have to pay extra for, including fresh orange at breakfast, and some basic cocktails. Again, for 4*hotel, it's rather cheeky and drinks, in general are again, cheaper versions. We appreciate the fact that all the staff work incredibly hard so the criticisms aren't directed at them, rather the management who ought to reconsider what ratings they apply to their hotel, so as not to mislead guests. Would recommend this hotel? The answer is, sadly not....
