Wonderful in all ways that counts! Delightful hospitality, relaxing atmosphere, close to downtown with free off-street parking and a tasty breakfast. The hostess/owner Ellen was attentive. We want to come back to see the garden in the summer

We feel lucky to have found the Chanticleer inn. We loved everything about our experience. My wife and I travel through on highway 5 a number of times a year: this will be our stop from now on. We particularly liked the upstairs rooms, but looking to try the garden level ones next time

Ellen Campbell, the owner of Chanticleer, was wonderful. I felt like I was at home. She served us beutiful, gourmet breakfasts. I was so impressed, I bought her cookbook, Receipes Are Like Pearls. My room was lovely. It had a full bathroom with tub and shower. I look forward to my next stay.

This is a return visit to the inn, and I found it just as charming as a year ago. Ellen, the host, is warm and friendly. She helps travelers with spots to visit, as well as baking and serving very yummy breakfasts. The house and grounds as impeccable, and the location is within walking distance to theaters and main shopping...

The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds and sitting areas. The garden and common areas are great for visiting or just relaxing. Ellen makes delicious and unique breakfasts and cookies in the afternoon. She is a wealth of information about the town and surrounding area, and could not be a better hostess. I can't think of a better place to...

This is our third year at the inn, where we keep returning because it feels like home. Ellen, the inn keeper, welcomes guests with open arms and is most hospitable. The rooms are lovely, and the breakfasts excellent. It's also within easy walking distance of theatres, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend it

We have been staying with Ellen at Chanticleer Inn now somewhere around 10 years. And we wouldn't stay anywhere else! Her hospitality is wonderful, the breakfasts unique and tasty, the rooms clean, comfortable and charming. We always like to book the Rosette room because it's secluded and has a private patio area in Ellen's well-maintained garden/grounds. Chanticleer Inn is within...
