We thoroughly enjoyed the Alamo Inn B&B experience. Reasonable prices; easy to make arrangements with Keith Hackland in a friendly, thorough, personalized, low key style; beautiful, cozy, clean, quiet, lodging with all the comforts of home and all the conveniences you need, taking into account early risers getting up and out with food available if you didn’t have time to...

I enjoyed my stay. The garden suite was perfect for our needs. It provided plenty of room to move around and I liked the bird focus of the decor. I could not find the pots and pans but did not ask; so my fault. I found them on the day we were leaving. I liked that no one bothered us....

fantastic apartments with well equipped kitchen make you feel very much at home. The Inn is located conveniently to several nice reservers and easy to find. This is definitely the place to stay for birders.

It is a great place with good atmosphere. Keith and Mary Beth are skillfull birders and it was great meeting you folks, and thank you for showing me around. End of June is probably not the best time of the year for birding, but I almost saw everything I could hope for. So I can highly recommend this place for...

The Alamo Inn B&B is very well-located for birding in the Valley and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The pricing is quite reasonable. If you want a luxurious spa feel, find yourself another place, but this B&B was perfect for us.

Alamo Inn is a great place for birders, photographers and other nature lovers to stay. The B&B is centrally located in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) and if you stay there, you're likely to meet other like-minded folks who are friendly and happy to talk about where they went, what they have seen and where they plan to go. I...

We stayed here for two nights. Keith, the owner, the kitchen staff and the housekeepers are very welcoming and helpful. The themed rooms are comfortable and well stocked. It was like staying in a home rather than a hotel. We stayed in the South African room which was a block away from the gear store and breakfast room. The honour...

Another couple and we stayed in the Hummingbird Suite and found it very comfortable for four people. The kitchen was adequately equipped for breakfasts and lunch-making. We didn't cook dinner, but my sense was that cooking equipment for larger meals was a little sparse. Because we made our own breakfasts we missed out on conversation with other birders in the...

A perfect place, especially those getting up super early (birders). Everyone was very friendly and very accommodating. I will, however say that it does need some of updating and cleaning. We stayed in a lower garden suite which was like our own apartment. I think if they could update/renovate and give it a good cleaning it would be an even...

This was our first visit and we stayed here 3 nights in two different apartment style rooms. The first room on the upper level in the Garden Apts. had a king bed and we slept quite well, but the last night on the lower level was not as good. The lower level room was smaller and more crowded and only...
