My husband and I live in Austin and have visited the Travaasa property several times for lunch, dinner or drinks. It's a pretty property, and we enjoyed the meals. On one visit, we toured the spa and pool facilities; it seemed lovely. Last Christmas, my husband gave me a Travaasa gift certificate to use for a massage or facial. I... More

Dear RoamATW, Our sincerest apologies for the misunderstanding regarding the terms of your gift card. Gift cards from Travaasa can be used for anything – retail, spa treatments, food & beverage and room reservations, too. Each of those present different options for purchases and inclusions, so we are very sorry for the confusion. To explain a bit about our limitations... More

A definite "terrible" at these prices. A mediocre at any price. The only low point of our 5 day swing through Texas Hill Country. Started out well. The young man and woman at the welcome desk both checking in and upon departure, were happy and friendly. Ditto for Lorenzo, who drove us and our luggage to/from room. Jaime, the hatchet... More

After three weeks of nonstop work and business travel, I decided to steal my wife away for a quick 36 hour weekend to this lovely spot about 35 minutes away from our home in East Austin. We didn't get a chance to participate in any of the activities; however, we did take advantage of the amazing spa services and the... More

Memorable BFF bi-annual trip to Travaasa. First trip to this adult only resort, no kids allowed. We took full advantage of ALL the activities, including Pump Track & Equine Encounter (a must) hatchet throwing, archery, cooking demos (we learned how to make hazelnut butter & coconut milk from Chef Marko) exercise classes, and so much more. We could not find... More

The good Beautiful grounds, stunning Hill Country views and a wonderful sense of luxe isolation. Cool activities with something for everyone. Friendly staff. Incredibly friendly, and very genuine. The bad Upon opening the door to our room, the odor of mold/mildew was immediately noticeable. Sure, it was a rainy weekend. But ongoing, excessive moisture issues were very evident -- we... More

Actually stayed here for the 4th time and as before, enjoyed it immensely. Travaasa has a beautiful property on a hill (mountain?) in the Hill Country outside Austin. The facilities, rooms, hikes and classes were wonderful. The staff could not have been nicer. There was not a lot there for little kids, btw.
