Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

there are obvious pluses and some serious minuses. Location is excellent, getting there is another story and leaving can be difficult. We've been staying at Pecan Grove for four years during our visit to Austin. None of the spots we've been parked in have been "good" all were tight, not very well maintained and the electric is always questionable, low enough we heat our water with propane and still barely 110. We've been told that they were going to address the electric issues, but that has been several years ago, and nothing has changed other than the cost of staying there, which has now reached $80 per night. We've since started staying at McKinney Falls, short distance to reach any destination in Austin, and the saving are used on fine dining.

We were in the Austin area for the US Grand Prix. Luc was able to accommodate our motor home on short notice. The location is amazing. We highly recommend this spot. It’s in close vicinity to Terry Black’s and Ruth’s Chris.

You WILL NOT beat this location for RVing in Austin. Walking/biking distance to everywhere and worth every penny. I had a blast and think you will too….if you’re lucky enough to get a spot. The host is ‘no nonsense,’ but in the most fabulous of ways….I dig that kind of thing. Was friendly, accommodating and informative.

A true little gem. We were coming to Austin for a wedding so we made a reservation over six months in advance and glad we did as it was right between the Austin music festival and Formula One. Conveniently the park is located near our daughter’s place, the wedding venue was really within walking distance as was the rehearsal dinner locale. So we were fortunate. Besides this, the park is conveniently located next to several restaurants, a Thom’s Market, which has pretty much most things you would need and quality items, and walking distance to the river and several parks, and not far from downtown. If you have a bicycle, even better. The park is an older one with many long term residents and the spaces are rather close together, which is to be expected in a RV park in an urban setting. But we found the closeness to be part of the eclectic charm of the place. We are new to hauling a 23’ trailer, and the manager graciously put us in one of the few pull-throughs available. There were some big rigs parked and how they parked at all is a testament to the skill of the driver and park management. There were no issues with all the hookups; on our site ,“B”, the electric was on the curbside and the water and sewer on the driver’s side. There are a lot of magnificent trees on the property, which made for shade a lot of the day. Given that it is fall the nuts were falling and the squirrels scrambling and squabbling like mad, which fascinated our dog no end. There are a lot of dog walkers and a small grassy spot by the office designated for their use as well. I was pleased to see that, for at least the week we were there, dog owners were responsible. The bath house located in the middle of the property has multiple showers and stalls and, whilst older, were clean and neat the times we used them. The laundry room, with coin operated machines ($1.50 wash ~ 30 minutes, $1.50 dry ~ 45 minutes), is located in the same building. If I were to have any complaint at all, which was not too much of an inconvenience for us, is that the Wifi signal at the back end of the park is quite weak and often dropped off. The signal for the staff Wifi was always strong but the ones guests could access were weak or often non-existent and we were using a WifiCampPro with the antenna on the top of the RV. Perhaps some type of repeater towards the back end of the park is in order. The management were wonderful, helpful and friendly. It was obvious that they were looking out for the place. I’m sure with an older park, it must be a lot of work and frustration but they were always able to help or answer questions. There are a lot of apartment/condo buildings going up in the area and obviously other RV parks along this roadway fell to development. It can only be hoped that Pecan Grove can hold out against this “progress” as it would be a real shame to lose such a charming place.

It was a last minute trip, beautiful weather and wanting to see some my friends in the hill country area. Reservations were made so quick and easy. All details about camp site emailed. No credit card taken just asked for cash or check when office is open. Traveling solo as a women park felt safe and every one was extremely friendly and helpful. There is the best ittalian restaurant right next door It was such pleasure meeting Larry the manager truly a man that likes to travel also. I tried to buy a tee-shirt but gave as a gift.Thank you Larry! So many fun things to do in Austin. Loved riding the electric scooters around town.

We booked last minute due to weather. The ladies who checked us in were so nice! We rented the pink cabin. Absolutely adorable and amazingly clean. They have everything here. A playground, dog park, fireplaces, fish cleaning station, and I’m sure a bunch more we missed. We highly recommend this place!

Pecan Grove is extremely well situated. Surrounded by eateries and bars and Barton Springs, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, The Zilker Botanic Garden, you don't need to head into the city to be entertained. I found the folks who live long term were so friendly, I felt like part of a neighborhood by the end of my first day here. As a solo female traveler, feeling safe and comfortable in my surroundings is very important. I felt both at Pecan Grove. I'm only sad that I probably won't be coming back this way again in my RV.
