We arrived late after a long week and slept blissfully, had a terrific breakfast and went exploring the surrounding countryside. Saturday night's dinner was excellent as was the ambience of the living room afterwards with the fire in the woodstove. Overall...it was a great stay!!!

Very relaxing atmosphere; fantastic service; great rooms. This inn is just off the beaten path; about twenty minutes from Manchester, VT. The rooms are very well done, and some have wood burning fireplaces like ours did. Their wood supply was abundant, but green; starting and maintaining a nice fire was a chore, so choosing a room with gas fireplace might...

My husband and I traveled from Oregon for our niece Claire's marriage to our new nephew Todd. We had never been to Vermont before, and we were thrilled when we arrived at West Mountain Inn to discover that not only was the environment beautiful (like Oregon), the Carlson family and employees made us feel so at home (like we do...

I had a dream of what it would be like to have my wedding weekend at this majestic place, but never in a million years could I have imagined how absolutely perfect it would turn out. It far surpassed any of my high expectations. There are not words to describe the visceral magic you will feel in celebrating the most...

If you are looking for a high-end, classic rural Vermont B&B, this is the place! Situated in the quiet southwest corner of the state, the Inn is set amidst the Green Mountains that inspired Rockwell Kent (Mt. Equinox); and close to Revolutionary War Bennington as well as the Robert Frost homestead in S. Shaftsbury. Scenic 7A runs from Bennington through...

Revisited WMI after 12 years. The food remains excellent. The included breakfasts and dinner (meal credit) were fantastic. The variety was pretty extensive--I only wish we could have tried more of the choices. Our room in the main building was comfortable, roomy and huge compared to most standard priced rooms. This is a great place for a getaway or extended...

What a lovely setting for a B & B! On a hill, gorgeous views, walking trails, BIG yummy breakfast selection, comfy beds, fireplaced for heat, game room, bar with TV (none in rooms tho) and just overall a great place to stay! Gormet dining was a little too gormet for us, but there are so many restaurants in Arlington and...

We hosted our wedding weekend here in October and everything was PERFECT. Service was impeccable, everyone was so warm and welcoming, and the rooms were all super cute and comfortable. Particularly, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We're New Yorkers and foodies, so I was prepared for it to be slightly ordinary,...

The setting of West Mountain Inn is ideal, with captivating views all around. The inn is very homey and cozy, with fireplaces crackling on cool autumn evenings. The food is exceptional and nicely varied. The breakfasts are especially scrumptious. The staff is very efficient and attentive in all respects. We've stayed at the inn several times and have never been...
