Stayed there in March 2015 if I remember correctly!
Location is far away from everything in the middle of the forest, but got picked up by a shuttle bus so no worries. They rang the gong when entering which was cool.

The ryokan shuttle makes hourly runs to the station. You can call the hotel for the next run. The pickup is on the street in front, a little to the left as you come out. Look for the distinctive green sign on the sidewalk.
