The hotel is hard to miss, right at the edge of the Kokura train station which makes it convenient for travel. Beyond that there's no reason to stay here. The rooms are very sparsely decorated with typically hard beds, and have few amenities.TV only has a handful of stations, all in Japanese. No gym. There is free wifi but breakfast... More

Perfect location for an overnight stay. Comfortable room (we booked a twin) and very clean. Supermarket and department store handy and right on the train platform. Would definitely stay again if needing a close place to the train.

If your main language is English then write everything down - spoken english is not a strength here - but they read english very well and try very hard to help. Rooms spacious (by japanese standards) clean and well provided for. Only ate breakfast here and found enough for a westerner to start the day well. If you are adventurous... More

My check- in was a bit odd and took nearly 12 minutes to accomplish, it was not very clear why. Nonetheless, it was a freindly check- in. I was given room 1226, a twin bed room, which was very spacious by business hotel standards in Japan. The view was towards the town’s nightlife district and the main downtown. Rooms on... More

This hotel was booked by my Japanese friend. Usually the hotel is not very good if close to train station or airport based on my experience, this one however exceeds what i expected. The room is a bit small, but shall be fine. The room facility is quite nice, even better than some global branding hotels. More importantly, it's super... More

Would have said this hotel was pretty good for the price. Room small but comfy. But having the blaring sounds of the announcements from the train station below waking one up at 530 am and continuing all day and night makes for a miserable stay. We were on 16th floor and still the irritating sound of the high pitched loudspeakers... More

Comparable to other 2 or 3 star business hotels I've stayed in in Japan. you walk in the 3rd level and go down to the reception desk. You go up to the 7th floor for breakfast (there's also another restaurant there but it was booked up for a private event the night I was there). The only reason to stay... More

the location is the reason to stay here, convenient to train station and car rentals, the monorail, and local shopping/dining options. the staff that helped us speaks little or no english, so don't hope for extra service or help - that is just the way it is when you are outside of main metropolitan tourist areas. although it is tricky... Good spot in the station, clean, modern, reasonable price (9000yen August 2014), free internet. Inside the Kokura (not Kogura!) station, easy walk even with 30 pounds on my back. Its inside the station so theres a Mcd's, Family Mart, etc. near by. I left my Apple Airport Express wireless there, if anyone finds it, let me know!!!! Thank you.

We chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and fact it was reasonably priced. We only went to Kitakyshu to visit our son who is at Uni. there, else we would not have chosen Kitakyushu for our first visit to Japan. However, the hotel is wonderfully located for both transport and the shopping/eating centre of town and some of... More
