We loved our room at this Posada. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It was cleaned every day with fresh bedding and towels. The Posada itself is charming with a decent kitchen, an excellent breakfast. Stephanie was very helpful during our stay and gave us lots of tips for wonderful Salvador. Barra is a nice neighbourhood and you are... More

La Villa Francaise is very clean and in a great neighborhood. Many good bars and restaurants are within walking distance. Stephanie, the owner, is very warm and welcoming. She made our stay so comfortable. Breakfast was tasty as well! The only downsides were related to wifi quality - it did not reach our room, so we had to go to... More

This bed & breakfast was the first (and best) place that we stayed on our 2 week vacation in Brazil. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was excellent, the location was great (quiet, near a beach, easy to catch a bus to Pelherino), and the breakfast was delicious. The owner Stephanie was extremely helpful. She made sure that we... More

The place was clean, located in a fun neighborhood (and safe) by the water. But more important Stephanie, the owner, and the staff made us feel welcome and helped at every turn. They helped find places to eat, suggested places to go and how to get there, overall they were great. It made Salvador a place to remember a place... More

My 4 friends and I stayed at the Villa Francaise during carnaval in Salvador. The rooms were very clean and quiet, the breakfast buffet fresh and delicious, and the owners always friendly and helpful. We always felt comfortable and very safe. WiFi is included. The location was safe, a 7 minute walk from beaches, and close to the Barra Shopping... More

Very good location. It is just a few blocks to the beach and about 15 minutes to Pelourinho or to Itapoa beach by bus. Also there is many good restaurants and bars and a huge Shooping Center nearby Very friendly people. Cafe da manha is quite good. Nathalie and Stephanie are very lovely persons.

I took some time to write a comment, as I am new in Trip Advisor and I'm not used to make any comments but...La Villa Française is one of the best location I did in my whole life and, as sales manager, travelling a lot all over the world, I am in a good position to compare. The best are... More

Very good located in a busy area but always felt safe. Our room was nice and the breakfast was excellent. The owners are French but only one of them spoke English and can help you find things to do. The kitchen is also nicely equipped. Overall a nice stay in a quite location.

We spent a few day with Stéphanie and Nathalie (the very kind owners of the Villa Française) at the end of July 2013. The pousada is not located in the historical center of the city; it is however well located in a popular, but very nice and safe, neighborhood (called Barra) very close to the city beach. A lot of...
