We very much liked our stay at Pousada Beija Flor. The place is in a quiet area of the historic centre of Salvador but still within walking distance. The owner, Nelton, is very charming. He doesn´t speak English but his son does and he helped us with all our questions. The breakfast is excellent with lots of different kinds of... More

Positive - 5 minutes to Largo do Pelourinho - 10 minutos to Terreiro de Jesus - Nice personnel - Great breakfast – more than 10 different fresh fruits, cakes, pasteles, eggs, … yummy Negative - Free wifi – but works only in common areas, not in the rooms - Outworn rooms - Not so clean

My mum and I just spent 4 nites at this gorgeous pousada (like a b&b) and absolutely loved it. It is located around 10 -15 mins walk from the centre of the historical district, so as long as you don't have mobility issues it is a perfect locaton and very quiet (apart from the dogs barking next door).Had booked a... Very nice pousada with great sea view, excellent varying breakfast and Nilson - the exceptional and very accommodating host. Located not far from the city centre in a peaceful street. I highly recommend it - especially if traveling with kids (mine were 6 & 4 at the time). Colibri visiting us every morning at breakfast was a bonus.

We are a family of 7 from Argentina and stayed there just for a night because we were going to another location. We loved the place! I totally recommend this place if you plan to sightsee Salvador. The location is excellent, just a few blocks from the historical part of Salvador. You have many choices to eat nearby and a... More

After a year of asking Nilton, the manager of the hotel, to return the double charged amount on my creditcard...they have not solved the problem. He keeps on saying he will pay me back, but that "times are hard in business". I am very disapointed and feel robbed.

I spent 1 night here and was happy with my stay. It's a solid 2-star hotel - fairly basic rooms, with nice breakfast and breakfast area. Strong wifi. Good location - a safe 5 minute walk to the main area. This hotel is in a perfectly safe area (don't let the guidebooks scare you - historic center is very safe).... More

Safety probably matters the most when you are in Salvador. And Pousada Beija Flor is definitely in a location that stands out for that. It may not look so from outside but trust me, walking back to hotel from Pelourinho at night is completely safe. As a matter of fact, you probably see more people in that area during night... More

I initially booked a 3 night stay in this pousada, but ended up staying a week. Newton, the proprietor, was an excellent host. Ever present and willing to help you with anything you needed. He even taxi'ed me around in his wonderful classic VW Beetle. Substantial fresh breakfast in the morning on the balcony overlooking the Bahia. Charming and comfortable... More

This Posada is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Salvador. It is located in the beautiful historic district of San Antonio. It's a safe area and scenic to walk throughout. The staff is professional, kind and very knowledgable about live music and cultural events. They even found something our 9 year old twins would enjoy- a capoeira class the... More
