A very friendly and nice place with a really good location, close to all the sights without being in the middle of tge most busiest parts of the historic centre. Excellent breakfast, big and comfortable rooms for such a small hotel, personal and family like atmosphere. Highly recommended.

My arrival @ Studio do Carmo was midnight and Paulo greeted me kindly; I requested an iron @ 1AM and he went next door to get one for me. Every morning a buffet of gorgeous breakfast by multilingual women owners.

This charming pousada is located in the center of the "old town" in Salvador. Perfect for a 1-2 day stay. We arrived at 1am, and were a bit concerned because the area was deserted when we arrived. But the next morning, our concerns were swept away! The area is alive with people and activity throughout the day and evening. There...

Location is in a safe area of the Pelereunio. Breakfasts are tasty and filling. Rooms are large. Price was very affordable. Decent service from father and his daughter. They also will try to set up with tour guides.

Making a good hotel out of a very old building and maintaining it requires effort and knowledge. Some of the effort is visible in the hotel but knowlege and carefull maintenance are missing. The hotel has too many improvisations that sometime work but mostly not (electrical outlets and switches, tv sets, bathroom fixtures). The professionalism of the staff is also...

We loved the location in Pelourinho, right in the historic part of Salvador. The staff was helpful (especially Joacina) and the included breakfast was great. This is not a luxury hotel but very nice, clean and comfortable. The stairs to the rooms were a challenge at first but we got used to them. Plenty of restaurants and sights nearby. It...

The location is good for seeing Salvador's historic center (although not convenient to beaches). The staff was quite friendly, and the breakfast was good. The building itself is a quirky historic building, which could have been charming if the rooms themselves had fixtures upgraded to modern standards, however they were quite spartan and not well-maintained. The shower was particularly troublesome,...

We enjoyed our stay very much. Room was large, but if you're on the ground floor it can be a little noisy around breakfast. Which leads to the breakfast, which is included, provided at 7:40am every day and excellent. Fruits, fried local breakfast foods, meat and cheese, coffee, toast etc. Air conditioning, no safe, looks on tourist maps like it...

Good hotel located at an excellent place right next to old city. The rooms are nice and big. The staff pleasant and helping. Only that the rooms are not so well maintained - slightly smelly, almirah locks broken etc. Not a deal breaker - definitely worth the price!
