My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights in early December 2020. The photos on the website make it look like a tiki-themed hotel you might see in Florida, but much to the contrary, it is a beautifully landscaped oasis. The sole tiled walkway stretches from the street to the pool area, with all the rooms and cabanas off the sides. During the day the path is beautifully lush and green, at night, when lighted, is it absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in a cabana near the pool, which was spacious with a high ceiling, a comfortable bed, a very efficient air conditioning, and a hot tub on the outside veranda. The public areas are pleasantly decorated in cream an sand tones and well-maintained. The hotel staff were attentive and friendly. The included breakfast was high quality and plentiful. and oh so pleasant right in front of the beach. We had dinner in the restaurant our last night there and enjoyed it. Haven't been to the South Pacific yet, but I imagine this hotel is probably as close as I have gotten.

Excellent hotel and staff. Close enough to walk to town but a bit more quiet from not being on the Main Street or beach.

Rooms are very comfortable and decorated in rustic decor, bar service and staff was impeccable and breakfast was delicious every day.

What can we say apart from everything was amazing. The location is next door to the nightlife without any inconvenience of noise and crowd. The welcome was warm. The hotel is superb, clean, authentic and the breakfast experience is wow. They change the cakes every day. All I can say is that we were unhappy... to leave.

Top marks all round. Staff were extremely nice and very accommodating. The pool is great, drinks from the bar were delicious, couldn't have asked for a better breakfast and the bedrooms and overall setting/vibe of the venue was amazing. Pure paradise. Thanks Hurricane Jeri.

This hotel was recently built and has been in operation for only one year. It is beautifully decorated in rustic Polynesian style. The pool has an amazing view of the beach and is the perfect place for a relaxing morning or afternoon. The wifi is free and works fine all over the hotel. We stayed at a seafront luxury room. The room is spacious and has an outside jacuzzi in the varanda that overlooks the hotel pool. It was clean and very well kept. The air conditioning worked properly. The hotel has a generator which is an important feature because blackouts occur often in the area. Location is also a positive aspect to be highlighted ; the hotel stays in a quite area by the sea (Praia da Malhada; which is beautiful but not good for diving or swimming), just a 10-minute walk from the center of Jeri and the main beach. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, specially Marcela (server at the restaurant and bar), Frank (bartender), Ilan (front desk) and Ana Maria (server at breakfast). We would also like to congratulate Susana, the Spanish chef, for the amazing paella that she cooked for New Year's Eve Dinner. Ah, and for the passion fruit mousse which was to die for. Everything that we ate at the hotel was very good and the prices were fair.

Although we liked the place and had a good experience overall, we believe that there still much room for improvement. I will mention a few things that bothered us.

1- Breakfast. Most of the time it felt chaotic. Ana Maria serves the guests as fast as she can but it is clear that more servers and more people in the kitchen are needed. Not once I saw the manager at breakfast. I know that she reads the reviews on TripAdvisor. I would suggest that she takes the time to observe what happens at the restaurant during breakfast so that she can plan the necessary adjustments (placemats are not cleaned or replaced after each guest; food and juices take forever to be replaced, etc.).

2- Hot water. I understand that it is environmentally sound to use solar energy for heating the water but in our room we did not have hot water in the shower in 2 out of 5 nights of our stay. The hotel has an electrical backup system. After we complained to the front desk staff about the lack of hot water the backup system was immediately turned on (thumbs up!). However, it took more than 2 hours for the water to become hot.

3- Restaurant hours. The "Hotel Rules" which is handed in print to the guests at check-in state that the hotel kitchen is open till 10:30 pm and accept orders till 10 pm. However, during our stay, we tried to place an order at 9:50 pm and we were told that the kitchen was already being cleaned. So, we had to go to the village in order to grab something to eat. This was really upsetting because there were long waiting lists at all restaurants in the village and we were quite tired that night. The hotel has a policy of not allowing the consumption in the apartments of food and beverages bought outside the hotel. Since the hotel kitchen closes early for Jeri standards (i.e., people stay at the beach all day, go back to the hotel for a shower and nap after sunset, and then go out for dinner), I believe that it would be reasonable to change this police and even set an agreement with one or two local restaurants to have food delivered to the hotel guests after 10 pm. All that said, I must acknowledge that when we asked the hotel manager (or owner; we don't know for sure) if it was ok with him if we opened a bottle of champagne that we had brought with us to celebrate the New Year he said "yes" . Surprisingly , though, we were charged 10 reais for an ice bucket that we ordered in order to cool our champagne. It was almost nothing (around 3 dollars) but it was unnecessarily unkind (specially in a hotel that charges US$ 800.00 a night).

Lastly, we would like to mention the transfer Fortaleza-Jeri-Fortaleza arranged by the hotel. It worked well. The drivers were friendly and punctual. The cars were comfortable and had air conditioning. We were charged 1.200 Brazilian reais (paying cash). However, we noticed that every travel agency in the village was charging 1.000 Brazilian reais or a little less for the same kind of service. So, you may want to look further before booking your transfer with the hotel.

The while area is on the perfect spot in jeri. Its secluded and directly at the seaside but also only 2 minutes away frim the "buzzing" life of jeri center. The breakfast area with seaview and the pool are awesome. Rooms are made with a lot of love for every detail, and each one is very private also the terraces or the gardens. Amazing plants and fliwers everywhere. The perfect place to relax. Staff is super nice and helpful whatever you need, if its a buggy ride for kiteing or any other things.

We stayed in Room 26 which is the best room with the best ocean view and it was well worth the additional spend. Hurricane Jeri is a lovely and exceptionally well-appointed hotel. The rooms are a series of what I would describe as luxury bungalows aligning a single pathway that leads from the Reception down to the pool and the beach just beyond the pool area. The photos on the website are completely accurate but it is EVEN BETTER in living color. The pool doesn't look nearly as good in pics as it actually is. The Breakfast was great as was all of the food and beverage we enjoyed including a specialty dinner they hosted one evening. Housekeeping in the rooms was meticulous and lovely with fresh flowers on the crisp white bed linens everyday. Minibar also very good with a modest but lovely selection of items at fair prices. Service was exceptional. Everyone was warm and friendly and hustling to take good care of you. Bartenders were awesome -- highly skilled and entertaining with juggling drink-making routines straight out of the movie Cocktail but better. We stayed for 5 nights and wished we would have booked 10 instead! We even tried to book another trip but there is very little availability...no surprise. 100% recommend and we WILL return! Note: To keep it real, as a couple, we did feel a little frustrated by all of the children at such a small and intimate (and romantic) property. If we return, I would definitely ask if a no-cell-phone policy has been implemented yet. A few of our peaceful poolside afternoons were interrupted by young people on phones and laptops with the speakers on. A property like this should feel comfortable implementing a no-cell policy at poolside because it is in keeping with the environment they have created and I am quite sure that all guests would appreciate (or understand) that requirement.
