Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Location is the center is optimal for my needs, there’s a good selection of restaurants and bars around the hotel, some of them with live music until late (for people having a problem with that ask a room on the rear part of the hotel).
There is also a supermarket (“Italo”) 5 minutes away, the gasoline station behind the hotel has a small laundromat if you need, and there is plenty of bus connections around the corner on Avenida Schimmelpfeng in front of Mc Donald’s where you can also catch direct buses to Ciudad del Este in Paraguay (25>40 minutes depending on traffic).

Rooms are standard Ibis rooms with all usual Ibis basic amenities, Wi-Fi signal and speed is ok throughout the property.

Between the reception and the bar there is also a small tour desk that helps you organize your visit to the Cataratas , to shopping in Ciudad del Este and to other local attractions.

All the staff is very nice and helpful, I would specially thank Ms. Gabriela for her kindness!

We stayed here for 2 nights in the busy December period. The hotel is around 20 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes from the falls. But being in the center of town was ideal for us as all restaurants were within walking distance as was the shopping district. The room was just right- a comfortable size with a decent bed and shower. A improvement would be to add hand-towels in the bathrooms. The breakfast was great- with a big selection of food on offer at the buffet. The front office staff were friendly and helpful with all queries, especially the guy who helps out with the tours. The Ibis hotel is well known in the town so very easy for the taxi drivers to find. I would recommend this hotel...

Convenient, friendly and very good value for money. Located in the heart of town only a short Uber or bus ride away from the waterfalls and the airport. Breakfast was decent, especially considering the challenges of the current times.

If you want to enjoy all the tourist attractions and happen to be traveling solo, this is the hotel for you. Centrally located, next to several good restaurants and bars, and quiet. I stayed on the fourth floor, room 472.

Simple hotel, clean, centrally located. It was exactly what we were looking for for a few days stay to go see the Iguacu Falls.
Breakfast is basic but good. Staff was very professional and helpful.
There was a tour desk from Loumar Tour Company which we got all our tours with them.
There are excellent restaurants right across the street from the hotel and a delicious gelato ice cream next to it.

Everything is all right, good location, very good breakfast, with large variety of tea and sausages. Better than standard Ibis standard. Friendly staffs with good English, stylish lobby. Enjoyed a good rest.

We had serious problems while we were staying in this hotel.
First: some of our belongings disappeared from our rooms! Someone entered into our room while we were not there and took our belongings.
Second: we contacted the hotel staff but they ignored us! They didn't reply our messages and calls until today!
Third: the breakfast was poor. We have been staying in various Accor hotels and this one has the poorest breakfast.
Fourth: the staff is not helpful (with some exceptions).

There are lots of hotels in Foz do Iguacu. I'm gonna book a room in another one on next time I travel to the city of Iguacu Falls!

This hotel is a 30 min drive from the airport and costs approx Real50.00 for a taxi. It is a basic Ibis hotel, well maintained with a small restaurant. We did not eat at the restaurant. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. the 'downtown shopping area' where the locals shop is also 4-5 blocks from the hotel. The hotel front desk staff speaks english and is extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. the room is a basic Ibis room identical to the ones at other Ibis in Brazil. It has a safe, tv, desk area and a small but adequate bathroom. There is not coffee service in the room.

The city buses stop 2 blocks from the hotel which makes it extremely convenient. There is a bus (120) that stops across the McDonalds and close to the Biergarten from where you can go to the airport and also the Brazilian side of the falls. It is only Real4.00 p/p and a good way to see the area. Another bus from the same stop takes you to the Argentina side of the falls (you will have to cross the border and immigration). From the Argentina bus terminal you take another bus to the falls. All very safe and convenient. The bus drivers are quite helpful and willing to assist. Note that on the Argentinian side of the falls they do not accept credit cards but entrance has to be paid in Pesos only so be sure to get some money exchanged before you go. There is a Cambio across from the supermarket (a 20 min walk from the hotel).

We got a cab and the price was around BRL 50 (it was on the weekend, so the price was higher than week days)
