My mother and I stayed at this apart hotel from august 27 to 31.
We visited the Iguazu Falls by the argentinian and the brazilian sides...what an amazing experience!! it is a must!!
From the hotel to the Argentinian side are 25kms. and the admission is 30 pesos(US$10.=) and if you come back the next day it will cost you 50% less.
The hotel to the Iguazu Falls(brazilian side) is far away 12 kms. and the admission costs (US $11.50) it includes the transportation inside the Park. If you have some raincoat carry on it 'cause you finally get totally wet!

Well the apart hotel is centrally located at Brasil Av. which is a commercial av. but you can walk safe because there are lot of security. 6 Blocks away is a Super Muffato (a supermarket) and along the Av. you can find many artcrafts stores, the best for us was getting out of the hotel to the left just a few steps the name is something like "Piedras del Brasil"...the lady there had the better price and quality we found out. Also we had lunch at Maria's Maria : 3 blocks away walking to the left of the hotel it was cheaper and variety of meal to choose.
The check-in was fast and the reception staff all the time was very nice and helpful , they gave me a map of the zone, so ask for it. Our room was not bigger but was comfortable and so the bathroom, we had front view and the sun lighted our room up every day, it was enough for us...besides you can not ask for more cleanliness...the maid made an excellent job!!
The breakfast buffet was excellent too: A lot of pastries, milk, delicious coffee, fruits, yogurts, breads, eggs, juices, jam, cheese, sausages, etc.etc.etc.
Every night they have the Buffet dinner time with different meals, pastries, soups, rice, etc. it will cost you 15 reales(US$7.5.=) and does not include drinks(aprox. US$1.5 each one)..it was delicious, and worth the money.
The Apart hotel also has a pool, and a nice backyard with playground...everywhere you look you find cleanliness.
They also have money exchange at the lobby with good rate: US$ 1 = 2.10 reales.....calling home from the room is also cheaper(for me calling to Lima, Peru was less than US$1.= per minute). Also have a travel agency in the lobby. They had 01 elevator that works fine but we always use the stairs because the hotel is only 3 floors. It is well decorated and you feel warm and happy there.

Overall I recommend the Apart Hotel Foz do Iguaçu(Av. Brasil 97)-Foz do Iguaçu-Parana-Brasil. we enjoy the time there. I hope I can back soon with my husband and sons.
If you go to Brasil: Be sure to know if you need the Yellow Fever Vaccine, if you need this you must put it at least 10 days before your travel.

Rooms were poor and very basic. Rooms also smelt like damp!
Be careful as you maybe over charged - I was, until I pulled out my Booking.com confirmation.
They also tried to double charge me with the transfers.

Also, there is no toasters in the restaurant area?

Didn't like this hotel very much.

We stayed here for 2 nights as our first night we were stuck in rio as our flight was cancelled. We were still charged for the first night (which I find normal) but when I called the first night from rio to explain the situation I said do not give the room away because we will arrive the next day and we will pay for it. This was confirmed but a Portuguese person to make sure they understood.

When we finally arrived they first told us we had to wait several hours for check in. They didn't understand because the first 3 people didn't speak English or Spanish (this is the border with Argentina and Paraguay keep in mind. They were saying that we had to wait for them to clean our room... this should have been done the day before as we should have checked in the day earlier. When someone who spoke English arrived they still had to "check" the room.

The room was simple and it was apparently the luxury category. We didn't take any photos as we were so tired from the airport problems. The window never shut.

The wifi did not work in the room or in the public spaces ok my iPhone. And only worked in public spaces on my husbands android.

The hotel had an in house tourist company which we used for transportation to the Brazil side (150 real/2 people) and the next day to the Argentina side (300 real/2 people in a private car).

The only good thing was the huge breakfast that had lots of choices both hot and cold.

I was a little surprised with the quality of the accomodation, as it's only a 3* hotel and before we got to Iguaçu we were in Rio de Janeiro in a 4* hotel which was a house of horror actually. So our expectations were very low. But luckily, our expectations were absolutely exceeded. Rooms are not so spacious, but well equipped and with comfortable beds. Shower was ok, wifi worked well and all the hotel's areas including rooms and pool were clean. Breakfast is ok, with a good choice of various foods.

We also used their laundry service twice. Unfortunately during one of them they forgot to return us a dress we bought on Bali. We realized that it's missing only after we got back to Europe, so I emailed them and they found the dress and were willing to send it to Europe by post. That's a very nice approach and I am verry happy for this. Because actually the dress is very valuable for my wife.

Surroundings of the hotel is safe and with many good restaurants around (including some excellent churrascarias). It's actually in an area, where many hotels are situated, so the surroundings is tourist-friendly. It's also a good starting point to have some tours to the falls (both sides - Brasilian and Argentinian) and to Paraguay.

Overally, we would book this hotel again once we would be back in that area.

The only negatives: The pool area needs a renovation. The pool itself is ok, with clean water, but the surroundings is a bit outdated. I would also appreciate some private tours offers (they offer only group tours).

They where at the airport to receive me as requested. I asked for a clean bathroom and quiet room, they said no problem, they gave the last room at the end of the well lit corridor on the top floor. Room 514. Breakfast buffet were splendid. Yes there are plenty of pharmacies around but if you get a sore throat you have plenty of choices to get whatever you want. A block away the bus stop terminal to go to the Cataratas the Iguazú National Park (awesome), the Airport (convenient for those backpack traveleres) and the Bird Park (pretty amazing too) across the bus terminal at the stop you could take a bus to Ciudad del Este a duty free zone in Paraguay (I chose not to spend a day in caos) the best was the friendly attitude of the hotel staff and a few steps away from the hotel to the right (Ave. Brazil, 132) you can find Bar e Lanches Brasinha with a full fish or meat buffet for only 10 reais. The breakfast buffet at the hotel and the internet were included in the discount price my agency got. If you expect the luxury of a resort there is a hotel with a beautiful architecture right in the National Waterfall Park. Be prepared to pay plenty, Brazil is more expenxive than Tokio was two years ago. If you want an excellent budget hotel with convenient location try Foz do Iguazu Hotel.

I am a 63 year old female who traveled alone to Foz. I was looking for value, safety and location and found all in this hotel. My room had no view(I was never there) and was barebones simple, although it had a lovely bath and was clean. The hotel was located in the downtown area and had 2 cafes right across the street as well as a pharmacy. It looked a little less than glamorous on the outside, but once through the door the reception aea and people were lovely and helpful. Each morning they had a huge breakfast buffet. The pool was in need of some tile repair but who noticed when it was 105 degrees and the water felt good? I used the public bus..what a hoot..to go to the Falls and bird park and the bus station was exactly 2 walking blocks from the hotel. The supermercado/walmart like store was a half a block more away and worth the trip as well. The Buffalo Bronco Churrascarria is only a few blocks away too. I used "Edson" from Green path to pick me up and bring me back to the airport. He was there with a sign, on time and helpful . It was $30 each way. His # is 554591048815. You can pay a whole lot more and be geographically isolated as I saw witht some of the "luxury" hotels. Why travel???

We stayed 3 nights and used it for a base for our trip to the falls and the Jesuit ruins.

The hotel is very comfortable with a generous sized room and bed. There aren't any tv channels in English but that didn't worry us. We didn't come to watch tv.

Staff are friendly and helpful all speaking English.

The free breakfast was fantastic. A huge mix of food both hot and cold.

One thing worth knowing is that there are no coin laundry at all in this town or at this hotel. You can send your clothes out but that didn't suit us.

ATMs are few and far between which was a pain for us. Not the hotels fault, just a useful thing to plan around.

The Hotel is located near plenty of shops and restaurants with a handy street market nearby.

I found the co located tour company quite unresponsive so after several emails with no response I gave up and went with iguassufallstours.com who I couldn't recommend highly enough.

We arrived for a rafting tournament for a one week stay. At hotel at 1:30 am and took until 3am to get keys and rooms. During this time other men were given keys and opened rooms only to find people already asleep in the allocated room. Caused a bit of concern as we were travelling with young teenage girls. Service terrible - would not get us extra towels, when we broke a glass we had to wait 30 hours before someone would sweep it up and no one would get us a dustpan to do it ourselves. despite having phone calls promising room changes, so our group could be together, every day there was another excuse why this could not happen. Aircon is poor quality, but could not open windows as they opened onto ledges directly to street access. Pool was nice and we used it, but had to weave around pigeon droppings everywhere. No irons, and they would not lend us one, despite needing to iron competition uniforms for an international event. When checking out we were hit with minibar fees which we do not purchase, and also they tried to tell us the price on the internet was incorrect and we had to pay an additional $5 per room per night. A dirty wet rag sat on the foyer floor for 2 days as we came in and out. Staff were only nice to us after we won the competition.

I stayed for a few days at the hotel and was very disappointed with the overall service and quality of the rooms. The room is quite small and old, furniture and closets are in a poor state (the mattress, pillows and bed sheet are just awful) and the bathroom has several problems of plumbing, the box door simply did not close and the smell from the pipes was terrible. Shower either was too hot or too cold, very old indeed. In fact, the whole room smelled badly and the only way to make it go away was to leave the air conditioning on (which leaked on the floor). At least in this room, it is impossible to open the window, from which there is no view at all, at any time due to an infestation of pigeons, which also leave a terrible smell, and the noise from a electric generator that kept going way through the night, so the quality of sleep is terrible. I asked at the hotel about this constant noise and they only assured me that the generator was turned off everyday around 10pm. However, this was not true and the generator was, at most of the nights, on and off, all the time. Wi-fi internet is free, but it hardly worked. At my last day at the hotel, I found out there were renovated rooms available, for a higher price. However, I talked to some colleagues that payed more and the problems were just the same, because the "room makeover" was more cosmetic than real. Cleanliness leave much to be desired in the room and in the common areas of the hotel. At breakfast, sometimes it was impossible to seat because there were no clean tables, since there was no staff to clean it. And if you manage to seat at a clear spot, there were times that no plates, forks or even food were available. Once more, no staff to provide the service at the buffet, even for these minimum things. Also, if you are still going to stay there, do not book the van that is offered by the hotel. The service is not provided by the hotel, but by a tourism company that offers their service inside the hotel. At the time of arrival, there was no one waiting at the airport, the driver was late and you have to search for him outside the airport, so just get a taxi, the price is the same. At night, beware because in that párt of the Avenue, there is prostitution going quite as ealry as 8-9pm.
The positive side? A 15-minute walk to Cataratas Mall where there is a food court with Mac Donalds, Italian and Brazilian food, a very good baker named Maria and Marias and door to door to the hotel, several drugstores where you can buy water, ice cream, chocolates, so you do not have to pay more for them at the hotel.

The location is great near restaurants and stores, and easy to reach the bus to Iguazu Falls. The staff are very nice and kind young hard working people. Breakfast is plentiful and generous.
The building is in such a disrepair, and very unsanitary. In the common areas the chairs and sofas are stained and dirty. The hallways dark and in terrible condition. The room I was assigned #281 was truly terrible! The walls were dirty and above the air conditioner has dirt and it is moldy! The bathroom has a constant stinky smell of sewage. Between the tiles The grout is stained and has mold. This hotel truly is in desperate need of a good repair and facelift! The WiFi / Internet service was terrible and only in the lobby worked with the help of the front desk. As soon as I walk into my room I didn’t have WiFi and was unable to connect with internet!
