The place is really good, I liked it pretty much, is very simple for the people who only goes to the hostel to rest (and have their breakfast c: ). And they offer party everyday! Really good place to go and know Rio. Also, the location is really nice.

This is a nice hostel, some of the staff especially the tall guy that works at reception was unbelievably friendly and helpful! The rooms are nice and cold at night and the location is good right next to the metro. However.. we had huge issue with the kitchen situation, as listed as a kitchen available to guests, it's actually only... More

I stayed at El Misti Botafogo for almost 6 weeks during the Olympic Games, and it was a very nice experience. The rooms are a bit small, but the atmosphere in the hostel is super cool. Both stuff and guests made my stay unforgettable! Good breakfast is a plus.

Stayed here for a week. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room itself had no window and only a fan rather than air con as advertised but the beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were filthy with cold showers most of the time. The hostel is in a great location and really close to the metro.

Safe location in the middle of Botafogo. I went to the sugar loaf by foot to enjoy the sunset, and i would say that was one of the highlights of Rio. The staff was fantastic. They told us all the things to do inRio and how to get around on foot and bus. Lots of really good information to make our stay easier. One of the staff was really concerned when I needed a taxi to get to the airport and she kept on phoning until she got a taxi to... More

I booked 4 nights, but stayed there only 1 night because I met friends who rented an apartment in Rio and I ended up staying the following days at their place. The dorm is not that bad. Lockers are small, but if you have a bigger luggage, like I did, you can leave it underneath the bunk locked and everything... More

Dont choose this hostel if you have other options. The staff is nice and the property is well located, but it is durty and small. 4 bathroom with toilets inside for the whole place. No wifi in our room (big dead cockroach in it instead). However, good breakfast !
