The hotel is located quite a way from Copacabana, it is about R$20 to go to Copacabana by uber.
The neighborhood is a little bit run down but feel safe to go around in day time or early evening. there are a few restaurants in-the area.
The hotel is so so nothing great, they gave me the inside room with no view at all and the bed is a double bed. The room is small. The bed is not as comfy and beddings and towels are worn out. Breakfast is the same every morning, has poached eggs, scambled eggs, bacons, cold cuts, cheeses and a lots of breads, pancakes.
Lots of fruits and juices.
So depending how much you pay, if you need to pay high price for the room here, you may want to look for other hotel.

I stayed here 3 nights after checking out of a hostel a little early due to noisy guests and lack of sleep! This hotel was very comfortable, with a really nice rooftop pool. Breakfast had lots of options and all the staff at the hotel were very attentive and friendly. My only complaint is I ordered room service that never arrived - my Portuguese is admittedly terrible so perhaps something got misunderstood! It’s a residential area with plenty of shops and transport nearby and Flamengo Park is a short walk away. It’s a taxi ride to the more touristy areas. This is a decent option if you’re looking for something clean and comfortable away from the tourist hot spots.

We were given the worst room in the hotel to start with. No window, small double bed… after we complained they moved us to a slightly better room but on the first floor with a window overlooking a car park...
There were various issues throughout our stay, such as, the inconvenience of moving rooms, carrying our heavy luggage around. Also, we asked to add one extra day (a 5th day) to our booking. But on the 4th day the key card stopped working because it had not processed through their system that our stay had been extended so we could not get enter our room. So that was another trip downstairs to join the reception queue to try sort it…
The breakfast was good, there was a selection of 4 natural fruit juices and the food never ran out and was always fresh.
The swimming pool was small and they had a 1 hour slot booking system if you wanted to use it. The pool was crowded; there were people drinking beer in the pool and the water was a bit dirty and too warm.
There weren’t enough sun loungers for everyone despite the booking system.
They give you beach towels but make sure you know you will be charged if the towel is not returned to them.
Checking out was a problem too. Our Uber was almost there to collect us and the hotel staff said they needed to check our room before we could leave, to see if we had consumed anything from the fridge in the room. I paid for the outstanding charges and I told them we hadn’t consumed anything and any issues please call, and I left. She gave me a look as I was leaving as if I was doing something wrong.
Finally, I am still waiting for the reimbursement of the deposit I had to pay (500 reais) at check in - it’s now been 3 weeks.
While we were there, I heard a couple at reception complaining about their car - the car park at the hotel was apparently full and the owner did not want his car to be parked elsewhere.
Oh and lastly: I would say good evening to staff at the front door every time I walked past and NOT ONCE was I greeted in return.

We chose this hotel based on it not being in the heart of Tourist central of Copa Cobana. What a good idea it was! Super friendly staff and competent service made it feel like a small intimate hotel rather than the exceptionally large establishment it turned out to be. All you can eat buffet meals with divine ripe fruits for breakfast, local brazilian specialities and pastries made lingering over breakfast a real treat. Local shops had an array of souvenirs and clothing plus the local Sunday market made it ideal for shopping too. Good selection of cafes, restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance. Couldn't fault this location on any way.

Very disappointing hotel. First the struggle to check in at noon (even though the booking I had made said it was possible). They said nothing available then when we pushed, they found a room for us (and for my colleague). The room is perhaps the most bare of any hotel I have stayed in even though the "deluxe" room with king-sized bed: one desk, one chair, one luggage stand, one closet. No kettle (for tea and coffee), no complimentary water to drink, soap in a big dispenser nailed to the wall... However, wifi was good and hot water plentiful. Towels were thin but serviceable. Strangely few people spoke English in a major tourist destination - the staff were charming and tried hard, but a bit out of their depth with us. Massive buffet breakfast of most mediocre food, but able to find great fruit and bread from it all. We had meetings there, for which they charged an exhorbitant amount for badly-managed internet calls and projection. Neighbourhood quite nice, although someone was mugged on the main road near the park (at 9 pm). Very small swimming pool on the roof only opens at 8 a.m. Small gym there, too.

I was in Rio with my wife for 1 week at the end of September 2022. The hotel was good. I liked that it was in a safe neighborhood and it was very clean. Staff was quite friendly and made efforts to help anytime we had questions. The hotel's restaurant offered many options for breakfast (included). It also had a good selection for dinner. Location was also close to some local supermarkets and other restaurants and that helped. Taxis were available at any time of the day and the hotel staff was ready to help calling one. It is also relatively close to one of the local beaches, maybe 10 min walk. Very good experience overall.

Very good hotel! Great service, excellent resturant and the buffet is fantastic. It is especially helpful for Coeliacs. Everything is labeled with a wide range of gluten free food. The best we have come across in our travels.

Hotel is great, with nice breakfast and very well located in the Catete neighborhood. Situated just a few steps away from the Aterro do Flamengo park, where several outdoor activities take place, including sports at the beach.
One can find several street shops at Catete Street and the Cateto Subway station is right by the hotel door. Restaurants are a bit pricey around the area.
Room is large and the bed was huge. The only strange thing that happened was that one night someone knocked on my door, asking if the guest was in, claiming that it was a hotel procedure check.

Had never heard of this hotel before but wanted something closer to downtown since I was going to be doing a lot of sightseeing. I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a Superior Double and it was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom and shower. Breakfast (included) was good. Especially the fruit and pastries! Service was also very helpful and the location was handy. A metro stop was right outside and there were a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay again!
