It has a great location on the rather quiet sreet, 2 minutes far from Avenida Atlantica. Also there is a bus stop in front of hotel, so you can go to main sightseengs very easy. Room was small, but nice. On the top there is a very small outdoor pool but the view is amazing! Nice personal, especially in the...

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Free wi-fi. Big breakfast and lots of choice. Big room. Pretty much everything I would want from a short stay in a city. Is close (walkable) to sugar loaf. Copa beach less than 5 mins walk. Ipanema a bit further, but taxi's very cheap. Would stay here again.

I stayed two nights at the Intercontinental and two nights at this hotel, so I could easily check out both areas of Rio. The Best Western is located on a busy side street just two blocks from the world famous Copacabana. the only problem is that it is located on the opposite end of the busy, hopping area of Copacabana....

The location is amazing, close to Copacabana beach. But the hotels is below standars. Old and dirty rooms. The frontdesk is very unpolite. At the time of checkout I got a bill for a missing towel and other stuff missing from the room. I ask the frontdesk to check my bags and incredible he did it!! I was with my...

My wife and I started our 10 day honeymoon in Brazil in Rio at this hotel. We knew ahead of time the hotel was just going to be a place for us to stay, and we were to wonder around finding things to do. First off, don't be scared by all the advice from people about how unsafe Rio is,...

I stayed here for new year's 2009 a few weeks ago. I liked the hotel it is very comfortable although a bit far from the beach and on a busy street. The location is not great but for the price and value it definitely works. i liked the rooftop pool.

We went back to Rio Copa after only 10 months because we like it so much. Its much traffic outside, but we have to take that when we stay in a busy distric. Ita near to Leme, Copacabana, and just a few minutes away from Ipanema by taxi. The staff are great. The reataurant Soleil is exelent and has the...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
