The staff were always on hand to help, and friendly. The breakfast is second to none with a large variety of food. However, selling it as a short walk to the beach is a bit misleading. It is across the road from Leme beach - which isn't that interesting and is blocked by construction works at the moment. Copa is...

we stayed here for the last night of our holiday, it is one block from the beach and we were on a high floor and still had a decent view. Our room was more like a suite - massive!! with a big bed, sitting area, mini rainforest area and two big tvs! The room was spotless and the bathroom looked...

Having spent the first three days of my visit to Rio at the Windsor Atlantica, I had some reservations about my change of hotel. A huge bonus was that it is less than 50 metres from the Atlantica, which made it really easy to get to, as all the taxi drivers know where that hotel is. The doormen at the...

It's a good hotel in a good location. It is not across the street in front of the beach but behind Windsor Hotel that is across the beach. But still one is very close to the beach and right across the corner there's a supermarket which is very helpful. It's true that rooms are outdated but clean. Good things: location,...

Stayed with my wife and young kids (9 & 6 yrs). Room was large, clean and comfortable, a bit outdated though. Great location: close to beach and restaurants (though the name says Copacabana its in Leme bordering Copacabana). Staff was very helpful and a few of them had decent English. Breakfast was good. A bit pricy but then it´s Rio.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.

“If you want a tea in your room at night, have your own tea bag and go down to reception to get a pot of hot water and cups. Very obliging. No tissues or face cloth provided.”
