Just one street up from copacobana beach. Much less expensive than the hotels directly across from the beach. Ipanema is also a very manageable walk. The breakfast is very good...lots of fruit, eggs, breads, etc. The desk staff speaks English.
Hotel canda is a decent hotel. Nothing special or bad abouot them. We loved their price and their location. Its about a 3 minute walk from one of the busiest beach's in the area copacabana. The service was good but the beds a little smaller.

Unfortunately I don't know this infomation because I was travelling with the private guide who has a car. But as far as I remember it takes quite long time to reach Maracana from the hotel Canada by car.
