Ponta Negra is probably best part of Natal for a good vacation experience. This hotel is not new and some renovation would be fine, but prices are very reasonable, the beach and many bars and restaurants are close (it's ok to walk) and the staff is friendly and does a good job. Wi-fi works well just in case you have some work to do as I always have. It's worth the price and you will feel welcome.

A little bit expensive, but still worth.
Me and my wife spent three days down there !
This hotel is two blocks far from Ponta Negra Beach.
From there, you may relax at the beach, walk on the promenade, go shopping, having a good dinner at Camaroes, enjoy the night life and so on.
Our room was on the third floor and was quiet. Room 301 was very but clean, with a small kitchen and one TV in the living room, not in the bedroom. There is also a balcony, with absolutely no view. It’s a good idea check it before if you are waiting for a nice view.
The breakfast is just great, but one detail we missed: no regional breakfast items, such the famous - and cheap - Natal tapioca. We tried it in another hotel in Pipa and enjoyed a lot.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They give you directions and hints of the touristic spots, etc.
The hotel has a garage, lift, a nice swimming pool, and free internet wi-fi, that was not out of order during 2 of the 3 days we spent there. If you do not bring your laptop, they charge a fee to use the only one they have available for guests. In my opinion, it could be free.
We would return back to Soleil, but avoiding Room 301, which has a view to a wall.

The hotel stays very close to Ponta Negra beach, it takes around 3 minutes by foot. The breakfast is the also a great quality, with many food options.

The only con's were: (1) a noisy air conditioner and (2) during our 4 day stay, the wifi was not working ( but the staff provided us a cable, with which we could acess the internet).

Super recomendo.

We took a triple room (room with 2 single beds and living room with sofa bed) wonderful, from the front, overlooking the beach. There is a huge balcony where we spent the afternoon after the rides, we opened the doors and windows and the apartment was completely aired. There is also a kind of kitchen (no stove or microwave), for us it was not very useful but for those who have children I believe it is. The cleaning is very good, breakfast very good with tapioca. In the afternoon they offer a coffee and tea with cookies in the hall for guests, courtesy, wonderful for those who love a coffee in the afternoon, I waited anxiously for it. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and the main street too, could not be better. Pool always clean.
Hotel restaurant is open until 21:30, which is wonderful when you dont want to leave after a busy day of sightseeing. One day we wanted a meal at 23:00, the kitchen was closed but the reception guy reported on and called a pizzeria, asked to hand in the room, delicious!
Fridge working fine, we bought our drinks and were really cold.
All the hotel staff is very attentive, especially the girl who is in the restaurant for breakfast (I think her name is Severina). We felt at home! Super recommend.

I liked the Soleil Suite -- a great location in Ponta Negra; the room was large and clean, though not exceptional. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, but not the outstanding spread found in some Brazilian pousadas. I'd certainly come back.

The Soleil hotel is a small hotel (few rooms). But the size of the rooms is the opposite. The one we stayed was larger than the apartment we live in: two bedrooms, a small kitchen, living room and a very large balcony with a great view to the Ponta Negra beach (3 blocks away from the hotel).
The hotel is located in the Ponta Negra, a region with several other hotels and great restaurants, at a walking distance. The best restaurant from Natal, Camaroes, is only a ten minute walk from the hotel.
Breakfast is good, but could include some things more local, like "tapioca", since the hotel is small and there are few people having breakfast at the same time.
For the city, Natal, we rented a car and drove to the main atractions, Genipabu and Pipa.

My mother and i stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The staff are so enthusiastic and accommadating. Rooms large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast plentiful. Pool small but very clean and perfect for a dip after a day at the beach. The hotel is a 50 m walk from the beach. We hired sun loungers from a charming gentle man called "Neto". He supplied us with coconut water, beer and cocktails! The waves are fantastic, lots of surfers catching waves as the tide comes in. Lots of beach traders selling food, cooked to order on barbeques on wheels! The prominade offers bars and restaurants all reasonably priced. Such a relaxing holiday. I would definately go back.

Just stood the carnival holiday with my wife and young daughter (10 months old) at this great place. Nice location, very close to the best restaurants and most touristic beach in Natal (Ponta Negra). Nice staff, everything kept always clean. Nice rooms, very roomy and with everything we needed for a comfortable stay - including a crib for my daughter.

We spent 30 nights here and it wasn't long enough! Could easily have stayed longer.

The staff are great, they're both friendly and professional, amenities are clean and well presented.

The position is great and quite centrally located in Ponta Negra.

We'll be returning next year for sure, highly recommended.

The room had a living room and a little kitchen without a stove. The breakfast is great and the staff was very nice. The restaurants are 7 minutes walking and the ones at the beach are 2 minutes walking. If you want something simple but good here is a good stay.
