This Hotel is average at best. Was disappointing because it has potential!!

The bed was extremely old and uncomfortable. The mattress, pillows, sheets & blankets at this hotel have seen better days (easily 15-20 years old)! The hotel staff during our checkout were already aware of this when I brought it up.

The hotel provides free breakfast every morning (which is great), but since it's open to the entire hotel, the restaurant becomes a bit of a zoo buzzing with people eager for a free meal. Granted, I was one of them. =)

The remaining furniture in this hotel was quite nice! The bathroom was quite clean and updated.

A common problem in Brazil hotels is the unavailability of an Iron / Iron Board in the hotel rooms. Most other hotels provide it as a part of room service, however this hotel does not provide you an iron to freshen up your clothes. They refer you to their laundry services (probably for additional revenue).

The hotel did provide us free wifi. The staff here is not bad.

The room service meals were absolutely terrible!! No condiments or eating trays / table provided.

There is a nice big mall 10 feet across the hotel. Which is a great feature for those looking for eating options or shopping options.

Very good hotel with great view and location, not pricy, reasonable food and excelent front desk. More than that I had no idea that is Brazilian Valentine´s Day. When we arrived at the hotel restaurant was absolutely booked. We were resigned to ask for room service. I picked up the phone and Gabriel answered. He surely noticed the deception in my voice and offered help and asked me to wait for some minutes. He returned enthusiastically. I made a reservation for you.in a special place. He send us to Jaao de Barro restaurant. A small charming good restaurant with an astonishing view of the city and we were in the best table!! We never will forget our this anniversary. I hope we receive this kind of treatment during world culp next year.

This is a well located hotel with a lot going for it. Unfortunately the rooms maintenance is sorely lacking for a 4-5 star hotel. Burnt out lamp bulbs, stained sofa and grubby and peeling wallpaper (room 618) and a small bathroom rounded off an underwhelming stay especially for the price. The breakfast was good but nothing special that you would not find in a hotel for half the price.....

Nice place to stay if your on your own. Customer service wasnt that great, we were no impressed when we werent allowed to have a guest to visit for even 30 mintues, after not seeing him for over 15 years. Even sent 2 security guards to escort our friend who did nothing wrong! which left us feeling very disappointed for extremely bad service, lefts us not feeling good or to enjoy the rest of our stay. Due to hotel policy, we get that the hotel charges for extra guest, he was a visitor! Wont stay here again.

I am not a person to complain easily about hotels. But this time I am really dissapointed. This hotel is not 5 star, only the location might be. But we payed a lot of money to stay here.
Here my review while I am still in the hotel (unfortunately we cannot leave due to business in the area). We are staying in room 611 a so-called deluxe room..

- The room was clean upon arrival, but has no amenities, only shampoo and nothing more, no bath ropes for comfort and the interior is rather bare, not in a fashionable way, but dull.
- Towels are rough, small and worn out
- The walls are thin: you can hear the neighbours showering, talking and yes.. other stuff.
- The matresses have suffered or are juist plain cheap quality same goes for the pillows. No extra pillows provided or a pillow menu. The hotel service directory even looked worn down (people had written on it )
- The shower is going from hot to less hot, is not up to standard
- The parking services is at added fee and only with valet that expects tip every time!
- Not one single gesture in this hotel is without cost. We had some clothing cleaned, but a very delicate dress I wanted to iron myself, but here in this hotel there is no possibility to accomodate this (lend an iron for example). The 5 star hotel had NO IRON!!! And the reception offered no solution.
-The breakfast area is chaotic, dirty and the food is all pre-backed an industrial processed food, no fresh items, no fresh juices and HORRIBLE COFFEE. We ordered expresso (had to paid this apart of course) and this was also awful.
-The pool area is rundown, looking dirty and unkept, for a hotel this size also very small and lacking deck chairs. Also many apartments building surrounding you, it is not very scenic at all. only the ocean view is nice.
- We left at 08:00 came back at 17:00 and the room was still not cleaned
- The staff do not seem to care, the hotel is very impersonal and lacks serious service as one would expect at this price level.
- Even booking a table for us in a local restaurant was not possible....

I did stay at this hotel back in 2007 and it was great, however now the services, facilities deteriorate to the lowest level you can imagine. I did try to speak with the duty manage to report my complaint however him/her were never available. Every single segment of our stay was bad...from check in, stay, services, facilities, check out...etc. I don't have enough words to complaint. The add salt to injury they charged extra for using the gym (which was located in another building 15 minutes walk from the hotel) as the hotel gym was closed. The reception staff were ok (although not qualified) but the manager of the breakfast was extremely rude and unpleasant.
The rooms facilities and cleanness were poor. So much so that we had to call reception for a glass... and an extra towel and soap as the room only catered for 01 person (we were a couple). The parking facilities (which they charged daily/extra were a joke.. only caused delays and extra costs to our trip. I do regret staying there. A run down hotel with a lot of potential and bad management.

As one would imagine a 5 star hotel would have superb customer service, good quality furniture, excellent HOT food, this hotel just reached a hostel standard for me. The hotel is always trying to charge you extra for things not expected in a 5 star. No coffee facilities in the room. Room service food was cold. Restaurant was terrible, very basic furniture not what one would expect, I asked for eggs and sausages from the kitchen for breakfast. The first morning food come late, second morning i was told there were no sausages in the hotel and I would be charged 5 Reis for each egg. I have never had such a poor service in another 5 star hotel. I would never recommend it to my worst enemy. I even spoke to the director of the hotel who was trying but not hard enough. Not even a goodwill gesture. So you can imagine if the director of the hotel had little customer service imagine the rest of the staff. But there are two staff members (reception) in the hotel who should really run it. Maria and Marcelo, fantastic members of staff and always willing to help. If it wasn't for Maria I would have checked out after my first night. But unfortunately I did check out before the planned departure, due to everything mention above. Very disappointing.

I stayed in this central Floripa hotel for a conference and the stay was overall pleasing, although I would not consider the hotel a 5-star establishment as announced. The lobby has nothing too special and 4 elevators (which get busy at rush hours) take you up to one of the 16-floor rooms. Rooms are spacious with general amenities but no luxury items or furniture. The noise isolation is rather poor and you will be awaken by bathroom, corridor and other noises from within the hotel. Breakfast buffet is plentiful despite being repetitive for 4 days in a row, but you do get a good morning meal. As it is very central, it appeals more to business than to those interested in exploring the most well known beaches in the city. The area around the hotel is not suitable for swimming so you won't get a chance to bathe but will have a nice scenery outside. There is a big mall next door to the hotel if you need to buy anything. A major plus was the easiness and velocity of the internet connection, available throughout all areas of the hotel without any major hassling as is found in other places. In summary, a comfortable stay, without any bells and whistles, for a specific business purpose.

Unfortunately I will always remember this hotel as the place I've felt most unsafe so far in Brazil, and not because of someone on the street, but because of somebody of the staff. We were waiting for a friend of ours (I have lived several months in Florianopolis) to pick us up at the hotel and drive us to the bus station, and I was chatting with him on Whatsapp, when a bald man in his 50's stood close to me and tried to peek on my phone. He had a blue shirt and I think he had "Majestic" written on it. He was close to the Concierge. Then he called a guy and started saying, in Portuguese "Somebody here is waiting for an Uber! Come, come!!". Then he started walking nervously, went into the hotel, kind of talking with himself and seemingly willing to talk to some hotel manager. I didn't think it was because of me. Then when my friend came to pick us up, he suddenly started pointing at the vehicle shouting loud "Hey!!! That is an Uber!!! Hey!!!" and started taking pictures with his phone. I was there with my wife and another friend, and I just wanted to flee away. For the whole ride to the bus station we felt really uneasy, we feared somebody was following believing we were an Uber. Fortunately there was a lot of traffic so if somebody wanted to follow us he wouldn't be successful. My friend told me actually that even though Uber is legal in Brazil, the taxi lobby is trying to scare people from using it. I don't believe that hotel staff of a 5-star hotel should ever allow one its staff memebers to scare its own customers, so I'll never set foot in this hotel again in my life.

The hotel is centrally located , on a very nice site by the seaside avenue (beiramar norte) in Florianopolis. Many things around, such as shopping mall, restaurants, cinemas, gym. Restaurant, which is average by day and good by night. On the roof a good oriental restaurant and a dancing bar. Some caveats, though. Firstly, when fully booked, as it was, the central air conditioning does not keepu up with the needs of the hotel. Secondly, the staff is polite but impersonal. I watched many incidents when the staff was not well trained to solve problems, giving very cold and bureaucratic answers without solving guests issues. One of them, when asked by a guest who said they were leaving early because his wife was ill, whether it was possible to give a voucher of that extra day, simply phoned the manager telling him what was happening and explicitly saying: it is not possible, is it? At least impolite! Thirdly: bad accoustics for the room. I listened to the talks of the next room, including a child that kept weeping all night long! No place to put personnal things in the toilet.
The costs are not high, though, but the hotel should improve to deserve a better grade! Good, nothing more!
