+ Excellent service from all the hotel staff. Very helpful and friendly. No issue when communicating with staff in English. + Allowed us for early check in at around 7am, and late check out around 3pm. + Great breakfast and food. + E-bike and bicycle available for rent. Hotel staff can also help you to book tuk tuk or private taxi. - Location is just beside the Highway Bus Terminal, but far from the Nyaung-U main town and other places. Nearest restaurant is also a distance away. - The room feels old and tired. - Shower will cause a flood in the toilet. After turning on the water, you need to wait some time before getting hot water. - Noisy since it is near the bus terminal and airport. - Many mosquitoes inside the room.

Excellent reception staff, too helpful and friendly. F&B crew and bell boys were very attentive too. Clean and spacious. Very happy overall. Our stay from 2/1-5/1. E bike service available. Staff went out to pharmacy to help buy medicine for my sick friend too. Also, hotel just behind bus station. Too good to be true.

We booked this hotel as a last resort because most other hotels were fully booked over the new year period during our planned visit to Bagan. There were a few good things, but many things could be done to improve the experience of future guests. Positives - comfortable beds, clean rooms, drinking water provided daily, very hard working staff who wanted to please. Things to improve in the future - inform guests of the extra charge for use of credit card payment before arrival (or even better, scrap this charge), inform guests in advance when ordering from the restaurant there will be an extra charge for having the food send to the room, check toilets are working (we had to fix our own flush), find a way to stop the bath and shower from completely flooding the whole bathroom floor each time they are used, provide an extra roll of toilet paper (we ran out twice during our stay due to sick children), store breakfast buffet honey and jam in such a way that ants do not get in, keep food covered as mosquitos were on the orange segments, provide a selection of pure/natural fruit juices, individual portions of butter and jam would be more appealing, inform guests in advance of alecarte kitchen closure for events such as New Year so they don’t have to pay for the expensive buffet dinner, provide clean coffee cups and glasses in the room each day (I had to ask housekeeping to come and collected dirty dishes after the room had been serviced), enforce some sort of quite policy after 10pm (there were a lot of loud guests having parties until 3am in their rooms even before New Year’s Eve), provide a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the town a few times each day as the hotel is not located near any tourist attractions. It was a noisy location right next to the bus station and right under the flight path - of course these are out of the hotels control but future guests should be aware of this all the same.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for 2 days in Bagan, arriving and leaving in night bus. It is just around the corner from the bus station which is perfect. (It is very close from airport as well) The staff and service is the best I have ever experienced and known. They offer e-bike rental. 5000 mmk for 4 hours and 10,000 for the whole day, which is not bad, both days we only used it 4 hours and they arranged our taxi to Mount Popa. We got the first room next to the reception and restaurant and got concerned it would be noisy but it was not at all! And this is a big concern for me! But the rooms are super quiet. The staff is fabulous and helpful, they are very attentive to every need you might have. Best service i have ever been offered. The whole hotel is spotless clean! And the included breakfast is delicious! They have delicious Mohinga! There are a lot of breakfast options which is awesome! This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, excellent price also, not as expensive as hotels in New Bagan. It is like 10 min away from Old Bagan (e-bike).

It was very difficult to choose a hotel in Bagan. Most of them had mixed reviews and the prices didn't make any justice. We estayed at this property due TA reviews and didn't disappoint. It's basic, yes. But the staff tries hard, they have a lot of enthusiasm and willingness. The allowed us to check in at 9:00am. That's not common Appreciated. A bit out of town, but if you have a private car, it's not a problem at all.

There are many reviews praising this luxury hotel with its friendly and courteous English speaking staff, so I will try to give a clearer review of it's location. It is situated in landscaped gardens in a rural area outside Bagan alongside the main road to Mandalay. It is very conveniently located near the airport, adjacent bus station and railway station just down the road should you be arriving by these means of transport. You may think there would be a lot of noise but not so. There is no urbanization. If you want to see the Irrawaddy river and the bright lights of Bagan (5 or more kilometers away) then you would need to take a taxi. If you arrive by boat from Mandalay then you would need to take a taxi from the jetty for the 20 minute or so drive to the hotel. The gardens are superb and the swimming pool is secluded, being surrounded by a tall hedge which provides shade from the sun. The International selection of buffet food for breakfast is delicious and if you like eggs they are freshly cooked to your liking. Lunch and dinner are also available. This is not a criticism but an observation regarding the dinner menu. I personally would like to have seen a section in the menu highlighting traditional Myanmar dishes to tempt the palate rather than have them scattered throughout the menu. There was a comprehensive section just for pizzas and pasta so why not local specialties. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Regency Hotel and highly recommend it. My comfortable and clean room with all facilities cost 60 US dollars per night including breakfast. The reception staff will kindly arrange tours and transportation for you.

My partner, parents and I had a wonderful stay at the Regency Hotel. We were greeted by very friendly staff, who spoke English well and were attentive throughout our stay. We arrived early in the morning and were able to check-in early and freshen up before adventuring out to see Bagan. The rooms were lovely and clean with comfortable beds and there is a lovely pool and bar area which we spent a full day relaxing at after two days of temples. There is a large breakfast buffet with both western and Asian options so something for everyone! The hotel is a little further away from the town than some of the others but taxis were very reasonable and it felt more peaceful and restful being away from the hustle and bustle. Hotel really is of 4 star quality in terms of many of the hotels I have stayed in! Definitely recommend!

The staff is outstanding friendly and caring. They assist with everything and you can totally rely on them. We have never seen such a motivated and lovely team. They made even a balloon ride for us possible although on all pages they were booked out already. The hotel itself is new, very clean and well organized. The pool is big and very clean too. The bedrooms are equipped with everything you need. We had a balcony too (I suppose all rooms have). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom with lots of space. The area itself is quiet also the airport and bus station is close (which is very practical). You can rent for little money e-scooters (or bicycles) to go around in the area. We did it every day, because it was in our opinion the fastest and easiest way to explore Bagan. It’s very easy and safe to go around by e-scooter and you are independent. The breakfast was served in form of a buffet. You found there typical Asian food but also American breakfast, fresh fruit, sweets like waffles/pancakes, croissants, cereals, joghurt, bread, marmalade and a separate egg station where one of the cooks prepared the eggs the way you want it. Basically there is food for everyone. To sum it up: We highly recommend staying at Regency Hotel. We would book it again and hope we will return one day. The staff is so amazing that we miss them already. Thank you Regency employee’s for making the most out of the time for us. You are all amazing and do a great job!
