When I arrived, i just saw big hotels around. And there was La Villa... Nestled in the middle. Small but gorgeous! Manager Corinne was greeting us upon arrival and was so warm that we felt at home. This hotel has just 7 rooms which gives you an exclusive feeling. Beautiful gardens and pool... And rooms are just spot on... Keeping...

We arrived with high expectations having seen the reviews online. A nice colonial building in a peaceful garden. However, the rooms are way too expensive for what they offer. The rooms are ok, but the ones on the roof are far too hot and smell of damp. The ones on the first floor are large and airy. The bathrooms need...

As soon as you enter the place, you immediately feel that you are transported somewhere else, in another decade. The old building reminds us of the French colonial time and the garden could compete with one of the most splendid ones in Europe. Its charming, peaceful and beautiful, yet the atmosphere is not stiff. The staff and the manager of...

My partner and I spent 2 nights at La Villa in Battambang. Our room was gorgeous, circa 1930's with a ridiculously high ceiling, old style fans and fittings (and aircon which in September is a necessity) and friendly staff. The evening meals at La Villa were a bit 'hit and miss' but they had a good wine list, and the...

As the guidebooks say, this place is all about French colonial charm. Lovely ambience, superb buildings, intimate, really helpful and friendly staff. You could spend a week just by the pool, but you can easily get to wherever you want to go in Battambang from here. So much better than glitzy hotels. Food's great too - both Asian and European...

La VIlla in Battambang Cambodia is a magnificent boutique hotel with only six rooms. The staff are lovely and very welcoming and the General Manager, a lovely French lady has a wonderful philosophy of giving new staff the opportunity to learn new skills. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the restaurant has magnificent meals. This is a five star...

We really loved this place. Despite being flanked by larger more modern buildings, it retains an intimate atmosphere. Our room was great and right by the pool. All the staff were friendly and helpful and seemed like a family, unlike some less personal hotels we stayed in during our trip. We loved the genuine vintage and antique fittings and decor...

We spent a night in La Villa and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was not 100% as I had managed to acquire a stomach bug so I was upset not to be able to take fulll advantage of the food. However my husband enjoyed himself I loved the coconut smoothies! We had one of the attic rooms which was lovely, clean...

This lovely old Villa is more pleasant to stay in than big hotels. Personal service is valued. We ate at the restaurant for 2 nights and found the food and service to be very good. Our room aircon could not handle the heat at this time of year so we were very appreciative of an upgrade to a nicer and...

A 1930 French Colonial villa, if this place were managed properly it would be terrific. The staff try to be pleasant but there is a general sense of unease here, an odd energy. Perhaps it has something to do with the manager yelling at her staff. We arrived late by taxi from Siem. The restaurant kindly stayed opened for us-one...

Dear Brett,  I can understand the fact that your departure from the Villa made you in angry, but that does not excuse your unfair remarks. First of all, here, in this establishment, nobody yells at the staff, and myself less than whoever. We all respect each other. Then, yes, it should be known that an American dollar note, even little damaged, is refused everywhere here in Cambodia, because the banks take a tax to exchange them.  Then more, our bank indeed accepts only the VISA cards, which is displayed twice in our reception. And on your Booking.com reservation, it was noted, on the bottom of the page. It is written, exactly :"This hotel accepts the "following forms of payment : Visa. Another thing: if there was a leaking in your...
