We were so pleased to have this little gem, it's hidden away, not close to anything or easy to get to, but once there is wonderful. Beautiful plants, clean and lovely/spacious rooms, gorgeous grounds, a yummy breakfast, nice day hike and night hike to observe the skies, friendly staff....it was a great getaway......

What a disappointment. Such rave reviews. So much lost in translation. Primitive accommodation, absolutely dire food and an impatient and culturally insensitive host (delightful hostess). Plus, once you're there, you're stuck. If the host likes you I guess you might have a good time but all in all it's a total rip off. Don't buy into any of the local...

I spent nine days at the Hacienda in April 2016. I could not have asked for a better experience. The place is staffed with great people, the meals were always excellent, and the surroundings just beautiful.

We booked three nights here direct with the hacienda months ahead and informed them of the activities we would like. Everything we requested was provided and we can highly recommend the 4WD tour with a picnic lunch, observatory tour and horse riding (I am in my 60s and had not been on a horse in years but I felt completely...

This is a very special place for those who want to escape the daily business of life and merge with the nature while still having a very comfortable and cosy stay. This place has a soul and offers great personel, beautiful nature, great starry sky, horse riding in the mountains, star watching and taste meals. Very cosy rooms in Hazienda...

This place is absolutely gorgeous and the girls that run the place are super sweet! I HIGHLY recommend visiting! Hacienda Los Andes was my favorite place of all the places I stayed during my 25 day trip in Chile! It really feels like a magical fairy tale.

We spent a night at this lodge and booked the star gazing tour, which the owner and a master astronomer, Daniel, personally conducted for the three of us. It was so wonderful! His expertise and passion as well as the state of the art equipment and the world class star gazing environment combined to an unbeatable combination. The lodge itself...

Great, quiet place for hiking horse riding or just relaxing in the hammocks. The food was really nice and the (German) staff super friendly. The room was spotless and cozy. We managed the gravel road to get there in a tiny rental car and had absolutely no problems. Would love to stay here again!!

If you look for a green, quiet and sunny place to relax close to the Andes in Chile, you have found it. One would not expect such a nice, well maintained place in a still a kind of remote valley like the Rio Hurtado valley. Take the paved road from Ovalle or the more scenic route on the dirt road...

We just spent two days at the Hacienda during the low season in August. I was nervous by the guide book's description of the road there from Vicuna but actually it wasn't that bad and the scenery was SPECTACULAR and well worth the few hair-raising inclines and turns. Added to the feeling of getting-away-from-it-all. When we got to the Hacienda...

“We paid the extra for the suite which was at the end of the building, particularly quiet and with a view across the valley.”

“We booked the suite and it did have a big bed (King) but I would not pay that much again for it. Other than the bed, the room was pretty spartan. I would probably book a room with twin beds (as the doubles are small) to be more economical and just as comfortable.”
