What a fabulous hotel....the staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. There was dreadful rain whilst we were there and the hotel and village flooded but ' Mar lee ' the manager suggested alternative activities and was happy to arrange taxis etc. The village is very small with very few amenities but a short taxi ride takes you to town for about £4. The rooms are quite dark as it is a very old building and in courtyards but the superb facilities make up for this....powerful showers, comfy beds and a dehumidifier to dry our damp clothes 😉. The restaurant food was top notch and the breakfast the best we had in our entire trip. A big thank you to the fabulous staff who make this hotel so special

Secret Garden Boutique Hotel is nestled in a quiet village, 5 minutes walk to Yulong He river in the beautiful rural Yangshou area and only 90 minutes taxi ride from Guilin North Station. Take bamboo raft on the Yulong river or bicycle ride over to Baisha. English and Chinese is spoken and the comprehensive menu suits both local and international flavours (good kids’ menu with pancakes, spaghetti, pizza, toast etc.) Secret Garden Boutique Hotel was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed twice already and considered this place a gem; I’m inclined to agree! We stayed 5 very pleasant nights, rooms good size, impressive traditional courtyard layout; good impressions & photos.

This restaurant had the best kept secret. All their dishes were phenomenal but my favourite was the best sweet and sour pork I have had in my 7years of living in China. The staff were friendly and even the lemon tea came in the most beautiful kettle and tasted like heaven. What a pleasant place, gorgeous, well kept and excellent service. I will go back there everytime I am in the area and highly recomment you go there when you are in the area! Loved everything about it ♡♡♡

Yangshuo Secret Garden Boutique Hotel's menu in in English and caters for young children's tastes well with porridge, pancakes, and omelette; as well as offering speciality local dishes. If arriving by plane or train, arrange hotel pick-up/ drop-off, as the hotel is 45 minuted from Guilin station. Can wholeheartedly recommend.

This is a magic place ! We loved every single moment of our stay. Everyone is super kind, helpful, informative plus close to everyone speaks really good English. Make sure to hire bikes and explore this awesome area. Restaurant is also very good but make also sure to check out the little cafe just in front of the Hotel.

A fascinating hotel and restaurant. A bit off from the main roads, silent and private. The inside is like a dream - more a private monastery than a hotel, but with all the amenities. Staff speak good English. The food at the restaurant was the best I got in China during all my stay.

We had a stopover at this beautiful charming hotel and restaurant while cruising the area with our rented tuktuk. We had lunch and were in awe of the beautiful old style buildings and cosy courtyards. The food and service was great.

Everything was to opulent what you need. The staff is really super. They help you with everything. If you have any questions about taxi they will be happy to help you. They all have nice tips about fun outings. Nothing is not too crazy. The food here really super tasty a must to come here sometime.

The nearest ATM is in Yangshuo town, so about 7or 8 Km but, yes, we do accept credit cards in the restaurant so you should be able tosettle up your final bill without getting stuck with too little or too much cash.
