I am wondering if the hotel where I stayed is the same hotel as that stayed at by others who gave this hotel such a bad review. This is a modern [recent] hotel on the main street of the charming gateway-to-Juizhaigou National Park, Chuanzhusi. My room was spacious, light and well kept with the usual "Chinese 4*" accoutrements. There was...

We stayed in the hotel's phase two with a tour group on our way back from JiuZhaiGou. Entering the lobby, it looked so grand that it could have been a five star hotel. We had high expectations that this was going to be a nice place to stay. Yet don't be fooled by its appearances. Once inside the room, we...

We were told by the agency that booked us from Chegdu that this was the best hotel in town. Not on your life. We arrived at the front desk after negotiating a huge tiled lobby that had water everywhere and rubbish (cigarette butts, empty water bottles, plastic bags, etc) everywhere else. There was nobody on the front desk and we...

We were told this was the best hotel in town. The location was good, right in the centre of the town but back off the main road beside the river. This hotel is set mainly over the floor of the large lobby area. Free wifi was available in the lobby. There were a few shops near the lobby including a...

Stayed here with my family of 6 en route from Juzhaigou to the Huanglong Scenic Area. Entering this hotel (which was organized through a Chengdu tour company) should have been a clue -- we had to dodge a huge flooded area to walk in. The "lobby" was a huge cavernous area with a few shops, and then to get to...

No, not an exaggeration- I've stayed in plenty of hotels and hostels in all different classes all over the world, including in some pretty remote corners- and this is by far the worse place I've seen, as well as the creepiest. It charged the local equivalent of 5-star prices, and delivered service worse than a no-star peasant homestay in a...

We booked hotel thru China Travel Services(AustraliA) and had private tour guide provided by them. On arrival, we were informed that as they were down on patronage ,the rooms are not heated but will provide an electric blanket. The overnight temp was 0 deg C . I saw their staff having portable heaters and was will to pay extra to...

Unfinished at the time I stayed, this hotel is obviously for the tour-group market. Massive gold statue of Mao in the entrance.Note that it is a 25 minute drie out of Songpan. Rooms are ok, but zero service and mediocre breakfast. Good food in the private dining rooms, though. But they stole my cufflinks - a wedding present.
