Out stay in this hotel was quite good. Breakfast was quite good, a lot of options. You can have lunch or diner. Big room with overloaded decoration and complicated buttons in the head of the bed. Beds were very comfortable. Based on what you could find in the surroundings, I think is a great option.

We stayed in early January and the room was cold and hot water limited. Food was ok in a cold big breakfast room. We were glad we brought sleeping bags with us to stay warm and get some good sleep. Furnishings were old school and more than adequate. Real issues were just heat and hot water.

I recently spent one night at this property enroute to Everest Base Camp and generally would give it mixed reviews. The beds were comfortable and the addition of a humidifier in the room was a great touch. I ended up having one of my best nights of sleep in Tibet at this property, albeit I had to use a sleeping...

Seems like a lot of people have had issues with this hotel but during my stay there were no problems at all. My room was huge, had a living room, a bedroom, a couple of closets and two full bathrooms. The room was spotless and there were absolutely no odors like others described. The restaurant (and the breakfast) were not...

Stayed in room on the road side, not the main building. Old, heater not working, hot water not hot enough for November. Not much choice for breakfast. No lift, but there is bellboy that help to carry the luggage up. Front desk staff was helpful though and always smiling.

The couryard and entrance look good and inviting .We had a large , clean room on the ground floor, everything pretty much worked . We were able to walk to old town 20-30mns. Nice restaurant setting, food was ok, better order indian food. Exchange rate a real rip off. No english spoken. Staff ok. Again if you don't expect too...

We arrived rather late in Shigatse and stayed in this hotel. We got rooms at the street site , NOT in the main building. These rooms are really NOT good. The toilets STINK which made our whole room STINK!! Could not open a window as we were on the street site. WIFI and TV didn't work, not happy at all!!...

Ok hotel with free WiFi. Small supermarket just cross the street. But no elevator which with 3800 m altitude can be a bit tricky if your room is 2 stores above reception. TV was not working but I assume they could make it if I had asked the hotel to help me.

We knew the hotel was going to be a challenge before our trip as Shigatse is not as developed as Lhasa. It was worse than expected. We were booked in as part of our tour. There is no lift and our room was on the 3rd floor. There were flies everywhere in the room and we had to exterminate them...

The Manasarovar Hotel is centrally located in the city center. It is a beautiful hotel with painted walls and ceilings fitting into the Tibet theme. Easy walking to restaurants and shops. The suite room was outstanding for amenities and convenience. Soaking tub and hot shower. Clean room with a comfortable bed. Amenities included LCD TV, stereo system, refrigerator and desk....
