I like to tell people about good places. This place is better than just good. Friendly helpful staff, good sized rooms who can provide good travel advice. It is located a short walk from the three pagodas and just outside the old city. There are western breakfasts available at extra cost if you want them which are OK and won't...

This hotel is within walking distance of the old town of Dali and also the 3 Pagodas. The staff are very friendly and Daisy speaks very good English. Our room was on the end on the top 3 rd floor ( as in the picture) which was convenient for hanging out any washing as the lines are there on a...

What a fantastic place to stay! Great location, friendly service from English speaking staff! Our family of 2 adults and 2 children (11yrs) stayed 2 nights here on our way to Lijiang/tiger Leaping Gorge. We arrived by bus from Kunming which was a hot, 5 hr ride in a non air-conditioned, no window opening ride (plenty of toilet stops on...

Friendly service and the view from the roof top is really beautiful. You can see green mountains at the back and blue lake at the front. However, the hotel is a bit far from Dali Old Town (yet still within walking distance) and the water pressure of the shower is not strong enough for me.

Stayed there for 2 nights from 12 -14 Aug 2015 recently. The hotel 's room is clean with comfy bed but the water pressure at the time was quite low. Friendly/helpful staffs with a Bai minority owner(boss) but can speak the cantonese dialect very well and that suite us well and more feel at home. The place is quite and...

This small hotel has all we need for the 1 week staying in Dali. Good location - not really in the old town of Dali which means much peaceful and quite but only 10 minutes walking you are already in the center of the old town. Nice staff - owner is a nice gentleman who could help on everything. He...

It's a three story building with a small restaurant and bar at street level. Guest rooms are on the higher levels and are clean but a bit sparse. Probably 15-20 rooms in total? Access to town is simply walking down the lane for 2 minutes and crossing the main highway and through the West gate. There are small convenience stores...

We arrived very early in the morning, there was only a male staff that greeted us, but soon got a call from the owner, Ling, telling us that our rooms were available and we can go ahead and freshen up or rest a bit before breakfast. She advised that we check in after we have had our breakfast. Ling is...

Dali is an amazing place to spend a few days. We showed up at Mountain Delights and ended up staying for six nights, partly because I was a bit under the weather but largely because Lin and Daisy (and Dali the retriever) made us feel at home and took great care of us. Lin is the perfect hostess...always available, attentive...
