The hotel is in a great location to walk to Zlatni Rat beach and Bol town. Our room was clean and well appointed, the hotel was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area had great views of the surrounding countryside. As the hotel markets itself as a wellness resort we were surprised by the large number of young children staying there. This made for a less relaxing time than we anticipated. In the dining room in particular some children were running around at every meal apparently unattended. As we were leaving early the hotel said they would provide a packed breakfast. I was handed a plastic bag of stale bread slices and some spreads with a juice drink (see photo) . Would we stay here again, maybe due to the location.

I felt very good in this hotel. Although is quite large, it is charming with good energy. We had superior room with a spectacular view, so it’s worth it. Interior of room is really nice, very functional, comfortable and arranged simply but with taste, with all necessary amenities. Breakfast and dinner with enough choice for everyone and delicious. Nice wellness and spa, and we enjoyed bowling every evning. I definitely recommend this hotel.

A very nice hotel with a variety of amenities. Beautiful location. For an American the food was frequently strange and it was a challenge to avoid lactose and weird spices. Employees were generally helpful albeit the front desk a bit in your face. The other humans were sometimes the problem. There were a bunch of lawyers there that were loud and disruptive and weren’t adverse to stealing wine out of the bartender’s ice bowl when they weren’t looking. Any other problem was the resort to north. They would have very loud concerts with chanting and screaming on random days (ie Thursday). They were going strong at 10:30 one night when we were trying to go to sleep and I called the front desk. The guy was basically annoyed that I called and said they’d be done at 11 (which is way later than allowed at most hotels). I think he thought I was talking about this hotel’s patio rather than the next resort. Bizarre and in your face sometimes.

This is the second time we’ve been to this hotel and it genuinely punches above its weight in terms of 4 star hotels. The location in Bol is quite literally perfect. Firstly, if you have never been to Brac or Croatia, it is gorgeous, the transfer (as a UK traveller) is easy, and well worth it, it genuinely is a hidden gem. It is filled with nice restaurants, cliff side bars, beaches and shops! The hotel itself is perfect in location,0 in that it is basically in the middle of the beach and town centre with them being a 10 and 20 minute walk respectively. The beach directly below the hotel is by far the best to go swimming especially if you walk right to the swimming area there! There are also plenty of water sport activities or excursions to other islands if thats what you are looking for! We have done the Nautica Bol excursion twice, and the small group excursion on a speed boat is well worth the money and picks up at the dock below the hotel (although the steps on and off the boat are not for those with mobility issues)! They also have sun beds on the beach below if you get vouchers from reception (and arrive early in the day). The pool has plenty of beds and the indoor pool is nice if the weather is bad although could do with a refurbishment! I had a massage in the spa as well which was incredible especially if it’s raining! In terms of the food, this is good quality, if you’re looking for a hotel with endless options, this isn’t it. But there was plenty of choice for us, although we are not picky, and the options there are, are fantastic! The rooms are lovely and clean, and I was lucky enough to get a free upgrade which was a lovely extra! They are also spacious! I know this isn’t the place to say it, but if you also want a good quality and value lunch with great views, go to Rosmarino Restaurant about a 5 minute walk towards Zlatini Rat beach! It is great! If you like wine, the Stina winery in Bol centre does a very good value and informative wine tasting, tour and nibbles at 5pm and 6pm every day about a 20 minute walk from the hotel! By far the best thing about this hotel though is the staff, they are kind, welcoming and incredibly good at their jobs all the time. There was one particular day during our stay when it was stormy and you couldn’t step outside without getting soaked, every restaurant, shop and bar outside the hotel was closed (you will learn quickly on this island that the weather is caribbean-like and when it rains, it pours). There was a large conference group that arrived for the weekend two days before and they crowded the only open bar in the hotel from 12pm until dinner time at 7pm. For us, that didn’t matter as we ordered room service for lunch (no extra service charge) and ordered a glass of wine from the bar each to take to the room and you can drink and eat on the covered balcony after a morning relaxing in the indoor pool and treatments! When we went back to the bar at 6.30pm for a pre-dinner drink there were around 80-100 people crowding around the bar having drank all day from said conference! The staff were clearly busy but handled it expertly and managed to serve literally everyone with less than a 5-10 minute wait! Not only that when all of those people descended on the restaurant for dinner 30 minutes later, there was no delay at all with service of drinks or dinner and no drop in quality of food! I want to stress that this was a one off in terms of amount of people caused by the weather, most of the time the place is quiet even with big groups! However the reason I mentioned this situation is that I was genuinely in awe of the grace, politeness and management that was brought to this situation by the staff! Whilst I appreciate it’s their job, on this occasion they did it under immense pressure and excelled in how they handled it. I would genuinely say the staff at this hotel on both my visits have been some of the best in Europe. If this isn’t enough to persuade you regarding the staff, we were going to book a taxi to another place on the island, the concierge/reception staff strongly advised against it and instead to hire a car for the day and explore the island! The people I was with (family) didn’t have driving licenses with them and so this wasn’t really an option for us, but it’s great that the staff consider this and advise against something due to value for money! I have to say I have seen some of the reviews about the staff on this site, and they do not reflect our experience. In my experience, at this hotel and across Croatia, if you are polite to the staff, they cannot do enough for you! All in all this place and this hotel is one of the best we’ve been to, we will be back again. If you are considering whether a trip to Bol or Brac is worth your time, go! We found this place by accident after our holiday elsewhere got cancelled last minute last year, if you are looking for an all inclusive, British holiday resort, this isn’t it but what this island is, is beautiful, incredible, special and welcoming!

Wonderful hotel. We didn’t experience any real problems. The hotel is highly maintained and clean throughout. Having stayed half board we found both breakfast and the evening meals to be of a very good standard with multiple choices available. Worth noting that drinks with the evening meal are extra, even water. Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms are extremely comfortable, very well equipped including hair dryer, USB points, safe, toiletries, mini bar (chargeable) and very well air-conditioned (don’t leave balcony doors open). perhaps the only very slight negative observation would be the limited storage space for clothes particularly if staying for 14 days+ The hotel bar is sufficiently stocked but frankly there are many bars and places to eat (both snacks and full meals) within easy walking distance, some, just a stones throw from the hotel door. There is also a poolside bar which serves drinks and a limited food menu. Conveniently located to numerous beaches both small and large, the famous Zlatni Rat beach being just a 7 minute (maximum) walk. The town centre and harbour are an easy ten minute walk. Best restaurant by a million miles is Pumparela beside the harbour wall. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.

It is a beautiful place in a great area, maintained meticulously and decorated to stand out as well as to present very inviting common areas and to create a characteristic look shared by other Bluesun hotels. It was a nice touch that wifi recognized our devices although we visited a different hotel last year. Listing the facts: rooms are good size, bathroom is well designed, beds comfortable, gardens immaculate...reservation system reliable, everything we needed we got. Also, they delivered on our special requests. It is good to know what to expect, but generally customers' reviews tend to be very subjective, and as some other reviews got me questioning my choice, I need to point out a few things. What not to expect: It is a large hotel with a lot of indoor facilities. It has to accomodate 300+ people, so it is not a boutique quaint honeymooners' little place and breakfasts and dinners are more meant to provide sustenance (which they do) rather than "experience". Elevators are small, but fast and sufficient. The walk to the village/harbor is about 15-20 minutes (not close), flat and most of it in the shade. There is a choice of great beaches, close or a bit further away. On the improvement note - overall breakfast impressions perhaps would benefit from "less is more" (fewer options, better quality). Dinners are excellent, fish in particular. The staff are kind and efficient. The dining room is open kitchen plan, large and, yes, resemblig a canteen. So, everyone gets their food really quickly, but it is loud, people talk, children run around unattended by parents etc. that might not be entirely the hotel's fault. The dishes and cutlery racket perhaps could be reduced. Drinks charged extra, but it might not be everyone's kind of dinner to go with drinking. Spa/sauna is really fine (charges extra), indoor pool is ok if the weather is too cold for the beach. Outdoor pool - I cannot understand the need for it in a place like this, but, ok. It is there, looks clean and well attended. A couple of serious minuses - it is not really a smoke free hotel, and guests smoke on the breakfast terrace while others eat, they vape everywhere and smoke on their balconies blowing the smoke right into others' balconies etc. Guests tend to park wherever to avoid parking fees and it seems that the staff are reluctant to discourage such behaviour. In the spa, there are rules but guests don't seem keen on following them and again, no corrections from the staff. Finally, I really loved the art on the walls and the custom made carpets, so much so that I believe the hotel should have a souvenir shop selling posters of the artworks and miniature versions of decorative items. Overall, I think it is good value for money and we would like to return.

This was our first trip to Croatia and started with a three night stay in Split before moving to Bol. Having looked at previous reviews I feel we benefited from the recent renovation. We visited as a multigenerational family which is always hard to please! The rooms were very spacious and clean with excellent bathrooms. The communal areas were spacious and again we were lucky to visit now when it was past the peak season. The Bolero bar is in a beautiful location for coffee and cocktails with a sea view but shaded by pine trees. We never felt rushed by the staff. The swimming pool area was lovely although we didn’t spend much time there as we visited the nearby Zlatni Rat beach and took a boat trip from Bol to Hvar. We couldn’t recommend the boat trip enough the coastline and approach to Hvar is beautiful and the Frane Bol was an immaculate boat. The downside for us at the hotel was the dining experience. With a larger group there is no planning for seating so 2 people can sit on a table for 6. It is more like a canteen and the food very much on the lower end of four stars. It was so noisy and so we only ate there once in the evening and ate in Bol the other nights as it is a short walk on the lovely path which stretches from Bol to Zlatni Rat. Breakfast was better as we managed to sit outside where it was less noisy. There were signs everywhere to ask people not to take food out of the restaurant but this is pointless if it goes unchallenged and every morning people piled plates with more food than they could ever eat and made sandwiches or put it straight into bags to take away and this left some areas of the buffet very depleted at times. We were so glad we hadn’t booked half board and it is the dining that would deter us from visiting the hotel again. Croatia is a beautiful country which we would most definitely visit again.

Beautifully renewed hotel near the beach, surrounded by pine wood and nice garden. Nice spaces in the hotel and near. There is a beach just in front of the hotel, but in 10min walk you can reach famous Golden horn beach. Stuff at reception professional and kind, specially Sretna. Regarding the food, luckily there was enough vegetables and fruit, but overall food does not meet 4star. Also, some of the stuff at the main restaurant need to be educated.
