Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our third time to Croatia but our first time to the island of Brac. We were a group of two families of 4 adults and 4 children aged 10-14. We would all thoroughly recommend Villa Brac. It has a great location just outside Bol so is nice and quiet but close enough that you can easily walk to the amazing Zlatini Rat beach and the restaurants/ bars in Bol itself. The villa is very well kitted out with the outside kitchen and pool being the standouts. The villa was very clean and Goran and team were really helpful before / during and after our stay- including arranging taxis to and from the ferry and recommending places to eat and visit. We would definitely recommend Villa Brac and the island of Brac / Bol. We are already planning to come back!

We had a super hospitable and fun stay at Zlatni Bol. Location is perfect, beaches and town are in walking distance. Goran the host gave us the best hints for restaurants and pointed out the sweet spots on the map. We had the room with garden view for three nights, which proved to be excellent choice on hot july weather.

We had a wonderful stay, we rented the 3 ground floor apartments. They are clean, modern, comfortable beds. Goran was there to meet us and offer local advice. All amenities and extras have been considered and provided for. Highly recommend. 10-15 min walk to Bol centre and Golden Horn Beach.

A nice average place to spend your holiday. Good location, 20 minutes to the beach Zlatni Rat, and 10 minutes to the town. No noice during night time, but rathet thin walls so you'll hear your neighbours. A most warm and informative welcome. But be aware that there's no room service. Towels will be changed every 3. day and bed linen once a week. A hundred euro/night for a two bed apartment in peak season is a bit pricey, but Bol is on a higher price level than f.ex. Split.

We first stayed in Zlatni Bol apartments in 2006 and we have been going there for our summer holidays since. We are enjoying sun and sea for three weeks every year. And Tamara and Goran (owners) are just great. Very sincere people. If you are planning to visit Bol, you should stay here.

This was our second stay here, having visited last October and given a 5 star review.
These apartments are a good option for staying in Bol, as they are spacious and in a peaceful part away from the main seafront. Our apartment had good views of the sea in the distance from the small balcony, which has a table and 2 chairs.

Last time in our trip advisor review we gave feedback that the towels provided were too small and that the apartment required a kettle (rather than a tiny pan which takes 20 minutes to boil the water for a cup of tea). Sadly this feedback had not been acted upon by the time we visited a second time some 8 months later. I would say a little maintenance would go a long way, such as a squeaky bed, a toilet cistern that makes a constant filling noise, and an outdated tv (no input sockets for hdmi/ s video/games consoles etc). The free wifi is a good bonus, however.

Bear in mind location. It is about 7 minutes walk down hill to the sea front, which for us was no problem at all. The location has pro's and cons. On the positive side it is peaceful and quiet (not that Bol is noisy - it is a very chilled out town). But there seems to be a lot of alternative accomodation closer to the restaurants and beaches, so bear this in mind when you decide where to stay. Its a good 20 minutes walk to Zlatni Rat beach, and about the same to the monastry beaches in the opposite direction.

I would stay here again, but it would be good to see some action taken from the feedback given - a few minor improvements would go a long way.

We were in no8, nice balcony with lot of sun all day. Short distance to both beach and center. Good value place with small kitchen and comfy bed... perfectly clean. Out of 3 islands we were staying, this one was cheapest and nicest.

We are a couple staying at Goran's apartments for the second time. Last time we stayed in a three-person apartment on the ground floor, and this time we chose a two-person apartment on the ground floor as well. Of course there is no sea view on the ground floor, but you get a very nice, neat, secluded yard with an olive tree, lots of green and flowers. There always are singing birds and plenty of shade. A very pleasant place to have breakfast in the morning. But the most important feature is a quality grill - an great addition for a foodie or cooking enthusiast ;) You can always buy a variety of sea food near the local port, while coal and meat can be found for a good price at Tommy's shop two-minutes' walk from the apartment. The apartment itself is well equipped with everything you'll need. A washing machine for all residents is located next door. Goran himself is a very nice guy, always eager to help.
Brač is an ideal place for country style recreation, where you can go in for sports. I enjoyed nordic walking, watching the island's picturesque views, traversing long paths lined with pine forests and vineyards, breathing crystal clean air, relaxing after the workout in the azure waters of the sea.
In June the air temperature is 28-29 C, and water is warm.
Thank you, Goran, for amazing holidays! We will definitely come back next year, if we have an opportunity.

My husband and i spent two weeks at Zlanti Bol in early June and had such a fantastic stay. Our apartment was really nicely decorated and very clean, with a lovely terrace for us to enjoy a few evenings in. It had everything we needed for staying in, and the extras like use of the washing machine, and beds and umbrellas free of charge to take to the beach were a really nice touch. Goran & Tamara were really friendly and so helpful when we were planning our travel etc, offering to pick us up from Bol or arrange taxis. Bol is also such a beautiful town - quiet and very pretty and clean, and the apartments were really well located for the town and the Zlatni Rat beach. We will definitely be back!! Lucy & Alisdair

We loved staying here! Our apartment (A2+2) was perfect for our family beach trip with two children. The apartment is new construction and appointed with everything needed for a relaxing holiday in a place of indescribable beauty. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance of the grocery store, the town and the beaches.

Goran was so easy to communicate with before we arrived, and he was a superb host when we arrived in Bol. He picked us up at the ferry, gave us lots of tips on things to do while there and gave us a lift back to the ferry when it was (so sadly!) time to go. We saw him out and about during our stay, and he always had a suggestion or two on different things we could try.

It's difficult to imagine a more ideal place to stay during a beach vacation in Croatia!
