We just checked out of the Melegran and all I can say is we feel so lucky to have found this place! With only 13 rooms, this hotel knows how to do hospitality. The staff is absolutely phenomenal. Ana and Nora at the front desk were so helpful and welcoming. We had so many wonderful conversations with them, including when we had our complimentary cocktails in the lobby bar since we booked directly on their website. The driver Jovica also went down yet his way to help us and welcome us, and was so friendly!
The room itself (we were in #13) was beautifully done with so many lovely touches. Everything is very modern and new and the room has excellent amenities including complimentary bottled water, beach towels, a beach bag, umbrella, nespresso machine, electric kettle and mini bar. There was also a Bluetooth speaker and typewriter which was so fun! The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens and towels were of excellent quality. Our room itself was around the corner from the lobby and made us feel like we were staying in the true Rovinj - not in a giant corporate hotel.
We booked directly on their website and the rate also included a delicious breakfast each morning at the restaurant down the street. I have a dairy allergy and they were able to accommodate that with no issues. The rate also included parking just outside the old town. Jovica met us there to handle all of our luggage and drive us into the old town directly to the door of the hotel.
We can’t WAIT to come back to the Melegran!!! If you are considering staying here, don’t hesitate! It is an incredible experience!

Recently I stayed with my partner at The Melegran, and we had a fantastic experience. The location first seemed too central, but when we walked around Rovinj we realized it's ideal to stay in the old town. The room (13) in an annex building was quiet, we could sleep very well. Noises could only be heard from the room next door once. The quality of the room, the bed, the bathroom are all high, decorated with good taste. The staff is amazing, very helpful and their answer was always yes, making requests and changes easier. The buffet breakfast is served in a nearby restaurant until 12 (!) with a generous opening time also for those who like to stay in bed late. Rich breakfast on a lovely terrace of the neighorhood. The parking is about a 6-8 minute walk from the hotel, the arrival and the departure is assisted by a bellboy who picks you up with a buggy and helps with the luggage. Would definitely go back again, both to Rovinj and The Melegran.

I had a great stay at the Melegran in Rovinj. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city and convenient to everything. If you are driving to Rovinj, they have a parking lot outside the city walls, which is very convenient and easily worth the 8 € per day fee. The hotel staff are very good and reached out to me a few times before I arrived and in particular the day before and day I arrived so that we could coordinate my arrival so they could guide me to the parking lot and bring me to the hotel on their golf cart. In addition, I got a free drink at the bar at check in. The room I had was in the building across from where the lobby and bar is and was spacious and quiet. The bathroom and fixtures were all updated and modern. I was there near the end of shoulder season, so the town wasn't as crowded as it is in peak tourist season and the price was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

Pros: The hotel is in the middle of the old town, we had the room that was built first. The room is located on the ground floor with private access from the street. Small but clean and very nicely decorated - with attention to detail ✨ and great toiletries. The parking service also worked great (have called 15min before arrival and were then taken to the parking lot and chauffeured to the hotel). Breakfast is served at Balbi, a restaurant a few meters away. You get everything you need - various kinds of sausages, cheese, mozzarella, sheep cheese, salmon, various desserts, yogurt, cereal etc. - I liked the warm chocolate croissants 😍 (also available with jam or vanilla filling) Cons: A minimal point, but should not occur: Once our room door was opened without knocking. That was pretty awkward.

The team at this small, peaceful hotel cannot do enough to make their guests feel welcome. That service level is met with genuine happiness to assist. The hotel may be set in the beautiful cobbled old town but it is beautifully peaceful but very close to an abundance of bars and restaurants in a bustling area. Although breakfast was not available immediately on premises, it is a delightful 30-40m walk to a great location and an exquisite choice of breakfast. Rooms are superb and a great visit! Thank you Team ☺️

The room is spacious and perfect for four, with a spacious living space and balcony on the upper floor. The room and property is beautifully and uniquely designed and decorated, and the location is perfect too! We loved that a buggy picked us up from the city as only limited cars are allowed in.
We stayed in room 11, which was on the third floor. The stairways were narrow with rather steep steps - and we were extremely grateful to the staff who helped us bring our luggages up to our rooms.
Thank you, The Melegran Team for making our stay a perfect one!

Wonderful boutique hotel in excellent location in heart of Old Town. Milena helped us with reservations prior to arrival, during arrival and even for a restaurant in the next town we were visiting after we left Rovinj. The hotel is chic and modern, comfortable beds, lots of amenities for use and for sale, an affordable mini bar and plenty of hot water. The private parking option outside of town is absolutely necessary but they make it very easy with golf cart transport to/from. Milena and Anna arranged a wine tour for us which was also wonderful and we highly recommend. The Melegran is a great option for Rovinj.

Tiny but tasteful room for 160 euros. Could hardly turn around. The bathroom was also tiny and you had to organize yourself to put something down. Not ideal if you're claustrophobic. Large, comfortable beds. Otherwise tasteful and clean. The rooms are spread over several buildings in the old town. Parking costs an extra 22 euros per day. They pick you up in a golf cart. We were offered a slightly larger room for an additional 20 euros. We felt a bit ripped off.

We booked a wonderful private top floor suite (pictures do not do it justice). The location was beautifully renovated 4-story townhome where they converted each floor to individual rooms. Very whimsical decoration (think Kate Spade and white marble + gold). Very modern and new. The location was perfect, being in the middle of Old City (felt like we were always walking past the suite as we were wandering around town). Dragana checked us in - she was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was located conveniently in the center of old city. Parking is located at an old Monastery a mile away, but the hotel picks you up in a golf cart (search "The Melgran parking" in Google maps)

Updated beautiful hotel in a very convenient location to the waterfront and more restaurants and shops than you can imagine. The room was recently updated with all the modern conveniences you could want in a location that was only steps from restaurants, shopping in the waterfront. Quick and efficient transportation provided from the taxi stand to the hotel.
