Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for 3 nights in September 2023 while visiting Rovinj and the Istrian peninsula. The room was very clean and comfortable and a good value for the price. The breakfast each morning was a typical European breakfast with meat & cheeses, pastries, and sometimes eggs were offered. It was maybe a 20 minute walk to the Old Town area, so not right there but definitely walkable. Only (small) downside was parking, but it was only a 5 minute walk to a public lot. There was always room for our car there, so really no issues other than the walk. I would recommend Vila Kristina for anyone visiting Rovinj.

Everything was perfect! The staff was very kind. We had everyday fresh and various breakfast. It is close to the seaside and to the city centre. Our room was cleaned everyday. I plan to visit again Rovinj, and stay in the Villa Kristina. Thank you!

When looking for the room I filtered the hotels by parking. Most important aspect for us was parking as we had expensive tools in the car and didn't want to leave the car too far. When we arrived at the hotel it turned out it doesn't have parking. There was a public parking (not free) around 7 min walk. When advertising parking, it should be mentioned it's not hotel's parking but public one, not close to the hotel. Where it says 'parking' on booking.com, it should say "(public parking)" right next to it, otherwise it looks like the property has its own parking. We didn't want to park far from the hotel so ended up parking at neighbour's property for €10 per day. Fortunately we only stayed at villa Kristina for one night so we didn't end up spending a fortune on parking. Lady who checked us in said my reservation confirmation gives me info about public charges. That's great, but this is something I should know when making the reservation, not afterwards. Room was nice, breakfast was good, but the advertising very misleading when it comes to parking.

This is my second trip to Rovinj, Croatia, and my group stayed in the Vila Kristina. If they had 10 stars I would give it to Kristina and her family and staff. I only hope that when I do my watercolor workshops in Croatia we can stay there! Continental Breakfast, exceptionally clean rooms, friendliest staff - a pure joy staying there!

Clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast selections with outstanding coffee! The staff was very helpful and "Old Town" was easy to walk to. Staff was very helpful. Loading and unloading in front on the street but then you had to drive a short distance to find parking.

A great place to base your exploration of Istria. A short walk to old town Rovinj, 40 minutes to Pula with its ruins, 45 minutes to hill towns and wineries. Owner greeted us. Rooms were nice, and breakfast was very good.

The Vila Kristina is a short walk to the town center and the old town. We were there off season and were given a one bedroom apartment. The room was immaculate, simple but functional kitchen (we just made a quick lunch and sat on the balcony). Breakfast was nicely set, fresh fruit, lovely bakery items (rolls and croissants), cheese, meats, cereals, etc...simple yet filling. Nice coffee machine. The staff are helpful and friendly. The bed comfortable and the free wi fi worked well. There was parking across the street (again we were off season so did not have a problem with parking) and a convenient grocery store a short walk away.
