Siona Lodge is high quality eco accommodation. Am Ecuadorean and feel very proud of the way Siona Lodge manage the ecosystem and the high respect they show to nature. Neiser our guide is exceptional he is very knowledgable with a falcon eye to spot unbelievable animal in the jungle giving the best experience possible to every visitor. The food is...

Loved this place for how Eco friendly they are. Very committed to preserving the amazon as it is (despite the use of motored long boats as transportation-no way around it) and teaching visitors about the environment they're interacting with. Our guide Neissa was beyond eagle eyed, spotting sloths at the topmost canopy to 1cm long poison frogs on the forest...

I chose the Siona Lodge because it was the only lodget, besides the Tapir Lodge, that could explain their policy regarding sharing benefits with local people. But, it was our guide, Neiser, whoreally made this tour awesome. He is an amazing bird watcher and also a great conservationist who made conservation part of the information and stories he told. The...

There are a dozen plus lodges around the same stretch of river in the Cuyabeno Reserve--Siona was my choice, and I couldn't be happier with the selection. Very nice rooms with reliable hot water, excellent meals and a beautiful setting overall. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of local botany, animal life and the regional political/economic conditions as well. I learned...

After being picked up at the airport, we traveled by bus to the river and then took our time spotting wildlife on the 1.5 hr canoe ride to the remote lodge. Our guide, Neiser, was passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the amazon (species, history, future, ecotourism, local people etc.) and had an uncanny ability in spotting everything......birds, insects,...

My friend and I travelled in Ecuador and wanted an Amazon experience in an Eco lodge. Comparing high end resorts with more budget experience - this lodge had just as amazing reviews. We opted for budget however nothing was budget about this!. Our guide Neiser was passionate and knowledgable.. We learned about the wildlife, history, culture and the people. We...

We were very impressed about several aspects of staying at Siona and would not hesitate to recommend it to nature lovers. Booking with Solvei, one of the owners, was very easy and communication timely and fluid. There was a clear energy and feeling of teamwork among the staff, from the drivers of the boats to cooks and room attendants. Considering...

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the lodge. Transportation down the river road to the facility was fine, but the seats in the boat are hard. The staff were welcoming and gracious. The foods were quite good and I enjoyed the local foods most. The cabins are comfortable but a bit too public for me. The next unit is pretty...

If you are expecting a posh lodge with lots of amenities, you will be disappointed but if you are expecting a guide who can spot a pygmy monkey in a tree way off in the distance from a boat (!), you'll be pleasantly rewarded. The electricity is only on from 6-10 pm because they use solar power from only a...
