What is the best way to coordinate a trip to Cuyabeno with a Tren Cucero excursion? Also, I was a student briefly in Guayaquil in 1963 (yes, a very long time ago) and I would like to see how the city has changed. A good place to stay? Not interested in Swisshotel. Someplace more interesting. Also, an interesting hotel in Quito to explore the city a few days before leaving for Cuyabeno

You won't miss it. There is so much else to look at and do. If you fly in, the airport in Lago Agrio does have WiFi.
