The Tangara Guesthouse provides safe, basic accommodations in the heart of Guayaquil, near the college, and about 10 minutes from the riverfront. Lucia was a gracious host. Breakfast was included with the room. The small courtyard was perfect for morning stretches and afternoon reading in the hammock. I would stay here again.

Everything about the stay was just perfect - very hospitable and helpful staff, clean and big rooms with towels, AC, soap and TV. Delicious breakfast - included in the price. Just 5$ for taxi from the airport/bus station. One of the nicest place I have stayed in South America

We really enjoyed our stay at Tangara. The beds are really comfortable, best sleep I've had in a while. Our room was lovely and bright. We got fresh towels each day and a very wholesome breakfast! Lucia was absolutely so kind and helpful. She could not have been nicer. There is a shopping mall about 20 mins walk away. It...

We paid €30 for bed and breakfast for two people and stayed two nights. It exceeded our expectations. The previous week we had stayed in a place that cost three times as much and was nowhere near as good. The rooms are not fancy, a little basic, but comfortable. There is a terrace to sit outside and a small lounge...

The whole guesthouse has a relaxing athmosphere. For us it was the last stay after a 5.5 weeks trip in South America. We were quite exhausted and didn't do much. Our room was clean and breakfast was nice, as far as I remember.

Tangara Guest House is a great place to spend a few days in Guayaquil. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and with private bathroom. Breakfast is the best part, good and abundant. Location is quite good, but sometimes you can hear airplanes from the nearby airport or the children from the school across the street. Anyway it is at a...

When we made our reservation we made arrangements to be met at the airport as this was our first trip into Guayaquil. We were met by Jhonny, the manager, for a small extra charge, but the cost of the taxi and arriving at Tangara in short order were guaranteed. The Tangara is small, very comfortable guest house convenient to the...

A safe haven to adapt to tropical climate, South American culture and Spanish. Clean rooms and baths, good average breakfast, familiar almost intimate atmosphere due to shared kitchen (always open), very few rooms and very friendly staff who are super helpful (though only in Spanish) esp. Lucia the owner and Johnny her manager who do speak English. The yard is...

We've stayed one night while passing trough Guayaquil on our way to Montanita. The room was clean but there was a lot of noise of the airco and planes passing over. The breakfast was good. So if you don't want to spend a lot of money and aren't to picky of a room for just a night maybe this can...
