This is a beautiful original building close to the centre of Otavalo. The wifi is excellent. The staff are delightful. Totally authentic experience. Not a party place. quiet. Rooms are lovely, colourful. Adriana, the main on-site manager, makes every effort to ensure you have everything you need and feel welcome. really special. Not much English spoken. Hot water. Good well-equipped...

This is the best hotel I've ever visited. Their airport pick up service is incredible; my flight came in 3 hours late and Patricio was still there at one in the morning with a smile on his face. Their staff is incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable for backpackers and curious minds alike, and the place is so clean you could eat off...

Riviera Sucre felt more like staying at a friend's home than a hotel. We spent three nights in a lovely room off the garden. The location is easy walking distance to the main Plaza, and also restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The room was spotless. The garden was a quiet escape for breakfast or a glass of wine while watching the...

This "hotel" actually calls itself a "hostal" on its business cards - and it occasionally feels that way; there's a kitchen for guests to use for cooking meals - and that definitely fits my definition of a hostal. But there are private rooms as well, and lots of non-backpacker guests. That said, this is also a nice little hotel, a...

I stayed for one night in this hotel together with my parents and son of 10 months. We definetly did not regret it. It is a nice, small hotel with a lot of charm. It is like you step into another world. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. I asked for a quiet room so my son could sleep...

From the giant keys to the astonishingly beautiful flowers to the quiet to the plentiful hot water in the clean and bright bathrooms, everything about the Riviera Sucre eas wonderful. We stayed 4 nights, 2 more than we had planned, because the room was great and we had use of the kitchen. A 5-10 minute walk to the Plaza de...

We stayed at the hotel for four nights while enjoying the market and surrounding towns and sights. The room was large and pleasant with plenty of light from the windows. The bed was comfortable and bathroom had plenty of hot water - a great value for the low price per night. The hotel was located only two blocks from the...

We came to Otavalo primarily on business but this hotel will stay in our hearts forever and we will return here anytime we come back to this wonderful town. The courtyard is a hummingbird heaven. We ate our breakfast watching the many hummingbirds entertain us. The breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit and good strong coffee. Coffee is very important to...

We only stayed here one nite, I wish it was for longer. We had a room on the first floor, small enough but fine for one nite, with a good sized bathroom and hot water. Christian is very generous with his information about Otavalo, and provided us with a good map. Location is very central. There's a fab kitchen, though...

For a clean safe stay near the market this is hotel is prime. If you don't feel like walking much, most locations in town including bus depot are less than $1.00 cab fare. The market is an easy less than 5 minute walk. The rooms are basic (with ecuador charm) and clean. The door to the street has a buzzer...
