I had a very good time at Hacienda Cusin. I was there over New Year's and they did a very good job of entertainment and fireworks. Other than it being the holidays, the atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. The employees are some of the friendliest I've met. The food ranged in a variety of tastes for each meal of the...

We stayed 3 nights at Hacienda Cusin, in a large family room with 2 connecting bedrooms. We immediately loved the place. When we got there late afternoon, our plan was to go straight to Otavola to have dinner. But the whole family wanted to stay, discover the wonderful and quiet gardens of the hacienda and connected monastery, and enjoy dinner...

Cusin has a beautiful property (even a secret passage way!) and helpful staff. Main complaint is that the rooms are very cold and hot water was lacking. The staff did try and accommodate for this by leaving hot water bottles in our bed, which was lovely but very needed. Maybe a better bet in summer. Restaurant was decent.

Many thanks for taking time to write your review. I'm so sorry that you were cold. To remedy such, I wish I knew which of the guest rooms you stayed. I hope that you will return and I can ensure the warmth of your room..

I recently had the opportunity of staying at 3 different haciendas in the highlands of Ecuador on the west slope of the Andes, NE of Quito. In chronological order, I stayed at Haciendas Zuleta, Cusin and Pinsaqui. In order of my preference for each, I rank Zuleta as the clear number 1, Pinsaqui as number 2 and Cusin as distant...

Hacienda Cusin is a very enchanting adventure, from the old world art and tapestries grand dining and fairy tale grounds you can live the best life has to offer. Our time at Cusin was filled with wonderful food, garden walks and a gracious staff. All the interiors are adorned with great works of art and beautifully made wood work and...

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The hotel is full of character and the rooms are spacious and very traditional. Nice gestures are the hot water bottles at night and a fire that is lit in your room each night. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there are plenty of things to do - from...

I've stayed at Hacienda Cusin many times since 1997 and I returned for another visit in November 2012. It's still as wonderful as ever! The gardens are lush and beautifully maintained, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are as friendly as they can be. The rooms are comfortable and varied. Most have fireplaces; you'll return from dinner...

We loved this hacienda which is brimming with character and in a truly beautiful location surrounded by the high hills of the highlands. We were upgraded to a suite and arrived after a long flight delay to a beautiful little stone cottage with a roaring fire and hot water bottles in our bed!  The hacienda is fascinating to explore and...

This was a wonderful experience. Top notch staff, really top notch. Especially the restaurant staff. Beautiful grounds, charming rooms. The fires in the fireplaces in the evening added a special touch. We stayed for 5 nights and wanted more! One of our best experiences at the hotel (besides drinking hot chocolate by the fire) was riding horses. The guide was...

We stayed just one night on our way from Cotacachi to Quito, but wish we could have stayed longer. This is not the place to stay if you want to walk out your door to nightlife and shopping - although it's just a short taxi ride to Otavalo. But if you want to relax in an elegant and historic environment,...
