I stayed twice in this Hotel for my business trip to Sharm.. and I must say it is worth every penny spent over there.. the staff is very courteous.. service is good and the unlimited food band is nice!! I really like the very open and relaxed landscaping of the resort.. you never feel as if you are on business travel..

Stayed here as a base while Kitesurfing, incredible for the price really. The food at breakfast is a bit naf, some dodgy looking potatoes and beans. Lots of Russians staying here. Friendly, helpful staff. Would stay here again - for the low cost if nothing else.

I opted for this hotel in spite of several negative opinions google translated before my trip from Europe.

What I didn't like right after arrival is that the reception doesn't really care about providing all the information needed and there where literally no info about the activities. On the other hand they allowed be to choose between several rooms and I had a breakfast+early check-in for a little as 15 or 20 bucks.

There are 3 pools, including 1 with warm water. Maybe there are not so many activities (my stay was in in the end of February), but I remember their "spring" season really starts later. Starting from March my friends have a lot of activities with English/Russian animators.
The food could be more diversified, although this comes more to breakfasts. The is plenty of meet, fruits, vegetables etc. for lunch and dinner.

What I loved the most was absolutely amazing architecture (reminds me Luxor). There are a lot of alleys here and according to Runkeeper you can walk around 5 km to see all the territory. Very healthy!

The main problem with the hotel were some flies. Not sure why (none of my previous hotels had this problem), but the manager told me the hotel was closed for a few years and these months they are planning changes and will also fix the problem with insects.
Another thing than can be annoying are too many Russian and Italian- speaking people. However I must admit they where very calm, at least comparing to the ones we usually meet in Turkey, LOL. My fellow from London who also stayed in El Hayat Hotel and now also extended his stay a bit here explained this is because 98% of them are Ukrainians and Kazakhs who are very different from Russians.

To summarize, my review somehow, you get what you pay for – absolutely nice hotel wiith affordable prices in the heart of Nabq. Comparing to the 5 star hotels in Sinai where I stayed earlier I was missing belly dance+darvish dance, but c'mon – if you are looking for a inexpensive cheap hotels in Sharm el Sheikh with all inclusive meal option, El Hayat Sharm Resort is probably the best option when it comes to "second line" hotels. Good for couples and young people since you have 2 parts (Arabic/Eastern and with the Western music) and there almost no crying babies!
This is probably also the best option if your want to save some money and spend them for Farsha cafe&beach (absolutely amazing option!!!) or, say, excursions to Ras Mohammed, Saint Catherine Monastery, Tiran Island etc. and treat the hotel just a base for exploring Sinai&SSH surroundings.

If you want to has really a lot of activities in the hotel and are not planning to go to the beach etc., pay some extra 300-400€ and choose one of the 5* hotels in the first line.

Wow, Im not even sure where to start... Ive been to Egypt four times before and I understand that their four star hotel is different than ours in EU. First of all, the rooms are old and the furniture also. In the middle of the night our beds fell in! Imagine the shock of waking up tho that while sleeping! We were so tired of our flight and trip that we just dragged our mattresses to the floor and slept there. It was around two at night. After removing the matress it revealed that the wooden planks below it weren't even broken they just fell down!
Secondly, the food... Theres just nothing to eat lunch was just rice and tomatoes. Breakfast was good thought. And dinnertime started 19.00 and 19.22 most of the stuff was finished which they didnt refill. Also there is promised wine and beer for dinner which was also finished? Later that evening the bartender by the pool refused to serve. He looked drunk or under something. Finally he just left? After him came someone else who was friendly and doing his job.
The next day we asked our tour guide to get us another hotel because this was unacceptable. And we were transferred to another hotel. We had heard that before us 20 other people had asked to get another hotel. Ive been to different places in Egypt, even to three star hotels, but this was by far the worst experience.

I really want to express my gladness and thankfulness for all Hotel's staff for their pretty guesting skills, and for their professional attitude.
It was so pleasure to spend such wonderful vacation.

Special thanks to the hotel manager, Mr. Adel Mustafa, for his support during the time I spent in the hotel.

I hope I can come back so soon.

Warning this is long but please read!! Woman steer clear of this hotel if you are without a man!!

Me and a friend have just returned from what can only be described as the holiday from hell.
We originally book 10 days all inclusive here but stayed no more than 5 days and swapped hotels halfway through the holiday.

When dropped off we immediately noticed the outside of the hotel was nothing like the pictures, run down, the fountains either side were dried up and dirty and no member of staff to help us with our luggage either. We had a young man help us instead from the local shop out front called Alex.

Straight away the reception staff were rude even though we were in high spirits. The bar staff bought us over a welcome drink and were so friendly. The reception has no air conditioning at all which in this heat is unacceptable.

Inside the hotel the grounds are well kept but again not the same as the pictures (the pictures on the website are from 2012 and the hotel has since changed hands in the last couple of months) the room was as the pictures described and the air con is very strong which we loved.

When we went to eat we noticed the buffet is very very small with only 4 hot options being rice and beans every single day and then things such as fish with skin still on just chopped up or liver or another day was chicken in some sort of sauce and beef but that's the only thing they ever served. Salad was unusual choice with cold boiled veg, and desserts were vile. Most times we went in, we walked out again and didn't eat because either the food was vile or what may have been decent was all gone as they did not cater to the number of people there. It was clear at this point the food was not catered to english at all. For the rest of our stay we ended up eating at KFC or McDonald's. We bought this up with the manager who offered to cook a seafood meal for £25 each even though we were all-inclusive, someone we met had paid this and the food was very small in quantity and not that good.
The breakfast had no toast no butter no fried eggs and no cereal!! They literally only cater to Russians!!

When it comes to the all-inclusive drinks the spirits are watered down as usual like most places but these are very very watered down, one day I made a point of drinking vodka straight to show it was watered down (I was correct) the beer when we firsts asked we were told was only available between 8-10pm, so we complained and were reassured by the manager they would stock it from now on all day, he never did! We had to complain to the bar staff (his name was Ali) who sorted it for us instead. The bottom pool bar is never manned and the top pool bar you have to ask them to stock the beer up there as well. Do not drink from the water containers as we watched a member of staff fill it up at the sink instead of changing them!!

That same day we opened our balcony door to hang out our towels to find smoke everywhere from where they were fumigating the land for Mosquitos (now we understand this is in the best interest of the people staying here but no prior warning had been given) my friend who suffers with respiratory problems began to find it hard to breath and coughing heavily. We complained again but no one apologised again!!

At this point we'd had enough and started to arrange changing hotels. We had a new manager approach us, trying to pursuade us to stay. He made a note of all the issues we had experience and promised to make a change he really did make an effort his name was Ahmed... Later that evening we had a call to our room it was Ahmed who want to come by our room to talk about our complaint in 20mins which we agreed was fine. But a minute later he was already at our door, well due to getting ready to go out me and my friend were no dressed so had to cover up immediately. I let him in and he sat on the edge of the bed asking my friend why she was so down. Then he began asking for a kiss but changed his mind stating due to Ramadan he would need to wait 1 more hour but wanted us to go to his room for sex in an hour!!! We said no numerous times until he finally left. He then started calling our room again over and over asking why we're not fully dressed and still asking for sex! Then knocked out door again but this time when I answered he immediately walked in and asking for sex again, I had to then shout and scream at him to leave until he eventually did... But the calls to our room continued until eventually he stopped. At this point we were too scared to leave our room as it turns out he was staying in the room directly below ours so that night we locked the door put on the chain and stayed in all night!!
The next day we had news that we could move the day after so due to the experience the night before we made sure to be out of our hotel all day to avoid the manager. The next day we checked out and explained what the manager did but not one member of staff apologised not even seem shocked. I have never known anything like it in my life.

This hotel had reduced us to tears on more than one occasion and if it weren't for the bar staff it would have been so much worse, we became friends with Ali on the reception bar, Mahmood on the pool bar, Ahmed on reception (the only decent one can I add, not the same Ahmed as the manager obvs) and one other man which I'm upset we did not get a name for who was the most lovely of them all. This man had calmed us when we were most upset and agreed the hotel is no more than a 2* and mentioned himself that he was embarrassed to work for such a vile hotel and would be leaving ASAP. Ahmed on reception left 4 days later due not being paid!! And it being so bad there!!

The whole of our stay at this hotel we spent sitting in the local shop situated directly outside the reception to the left with Ali, Jack(hassan), and all of their friends, eating with them daily after Ramadan had ended for the day. They took care of us even when we moved hotels. Couldn't do enough for us. They have become long term friends now and we made sure to visit them before we left Egypt. Even to take their details to keep in touch. We also booked our excursions through them with a guy called shaggy who beat every price we'd been given elsewhere too.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had. We had spent all of our £700 spending money in this time on food and drink as we could not eat at the hotel. I will never go back and will make sure to direct as many people elsewhere as I can!! We have had to complain to who we booked it through to try and get our money back.

I'm not a picky eater nor did I expect a royal hotel with golden sinks but this really is a vile place to stay.

Me & my fiance returned yesterday from a one week holiday at the El Hayat Sharm Resort.
We booked only 2 days before travelling therefor did not research the hotel or read many reviews. I would not return to this hotel as it was well below our expectations. The food was barely warm and catered for the Russians. We were the only non-russian couple which was also very dissapointing. We spent all of our time outside the hotel and only had 3 meals at the hotel. The rooms were shabby and the furniture was worn. The housekeeping service was also very poor - we had to prompt the housekeeper to clean our rooms whenever we saw him otherwise our rooms were not made up or cleaned. We was accommodated into a twin bedroom and when we disputed it we were told that there was no other rooms and we had to make do with pushing the beds together.

The hotel should have no more than 2 stars. But NOT 4!!!!!! We stayed at this hotel from 11Aug 2015 to 21 Aug 2015. We had booked “all inclusive”, but got ‘all exclusive’. DON”T trust the information about the hotel!!! They have absolutely nothing from that list! Ok, now some facts to prove it:
- almost all the rooms DON’T have a safe box! If it is, it’s impossible to get the password from the reception! They promised us to bring a safe box in our room million times, but never did. Even the RECEPTION MANAGER promised it to me looking into my eyes, but DIDN’t do it! Could I trust such a “manager” after? Of course, no…
- the beach ISN’T 700-800 metres from the hotel as promised. It’s much-much farther!!!! It took us 20-25 minutes to get there on foot! Families with children didn’t even try to do it. Of course there is a beach shuttle bus, but it goes ONLY 4 times a day!!!!! And the first one is at 10 a.m., that’s absolutely late for the beach! When we took it, all the beach beds had been already occupied by people from other hotels, which have earlier busses! After there are only three more times: 12.00; 13.30; 17.15. So we couldn’t even had a nice lunch as we didn’t want to go on foot under the scorching sun and 13.30 bus was too early… Many people didn’t even go to the beach after lunch…
- ‘all inclusive’ is ONLY in the hotel. When you go to the beach on the reception they give you ONLY 1-2 tickets for drinks. How can be a person the whole day or half of the day on the beach without water?!?! 2-4 little plastic cups of soft drink AREN’T enough in Egypt!!!!! But they don’t give more!!!
- in many rooms there AREN”T towels when you check in!!!! Not a single one! When you ask on the reception or housekeepers, they say to you ‘5 minutes’ and NEVER bring them!!! The same story is with toilet paper!!!! We are talking about a ‘4-star’ hotel! (????) It’s incredible!!!
- every guest is supposed to receive a bottle of water on the first day of staying, but NOONE receives!!!!! And again it’s absolutely useless to ask on the reception! And they took away water from the bar and the hall after midnight till 10 a.m. So you have ‘all inclusive’, but you CAN”T get simply WATER almost half of the day!!!!! And be careful with the hotel water and ice! Many people have stomach problems because of it!
- all facilities that they describe in there advertisement don’t work! There’s no volleyball, because a ‘4-star’ hotel doesn’t have a ball))), there’s no gym, because there’s no key from its room, there’s no billiards, because on the reception they don’t give you all tools for it! There’s no club, just the building that is always closed. The animators take hotel guests to other clubs every night, but they charge you with extra 15-35$ fee.
- all the rooms are TERRIBLY DIRTY!!!! They have never been cleaned since the opening! There is sand everywhere in the room, the floor is dirty, the windows and mirrors are full of disgusting things, BEDS are never changed after check-outs!!!!!!! The linen can be even in big dirty blots!!! In our bed there were many black hairs! You should give some tips to have it changed, but the second time isn’t usually clean either, you should keep asking at least 3-4 times! I’m talking not only about our situation, many people complained about it!
- moreover there are plenty of different insects and animals in the rooms! In ours we had mosquitoes (they bite people a loooot in all the rooms), ants, cockroaches and lizards! Some people have pigeons/doves. It’s a nice terrarium. But not in a ‘4-star’ hotel!
- the furniture and the equipment in all the rooms leave much to be desired!!!! Everything is pretty old and in a very bad condition! Refrigerators work so noisily that many people keep them turned off. We had problems with the conditioner! One day it stopped working at all! It was +45 C or even more! The whole day they promised us to fix it, but at midnight I couldn’t wait anymore and had to make a big scandal on the reception! I lost many nerves (on my vacation), but at 2 at night they fixed it!!!! Our neighbours were shy, so they were without a conditioner for 2 days!!!!! In Egypt!!! It was more than +40 C!!! Great job for a ‘4-star’ hotel!
- almost all the workers AREN”T friendly with guests! They are waiting only for money!!! Housekeepers don’t speak any foreign languages, so there’s no chance to ask them about anything!!!! They are very lazy and never clean rooms, they only replace your things to show that they have done something in you room. They never change towels or clean the floor, even if you ask them to do it! There are also two black guys (in a red and in a white (Ahmed) T-shirts), who are only pool cleaners, but behave and treat guests as if they were ‘managers’. It looks very disgusting!!! Receptionists are indifferent to all guests’ complaints, they ALWAYS say ‘5 minutes’ and do nothing about it! Even the reception manager ignores everything! There is only one nice guy Goseph, who usually works night shifts, he can help and always gives you a smile))) But kitchen workers are all nice, friendly and hard-working! It was a great pleasure for us to eat at the hotel restaurant! They clean tables quickly and always do everything that you ask them about! Thank you, guys, very much! Their manager Sayed is an intelligent and hard-working person too! He organized everything and everyone perfectly! One more guy who made our evenings interesting is animator IMOOOOO! He’s absolutely fantastic! Every evening there was something amazing to watch and take part in! Thank you, 123 animation team!
- the only plus of this horrible hotel is its kitchen! The food was tasty and always fresh! On the restaurant balcony every evening they make something grilled. The choice is pretty big, it is possible to find something for any taste!
Ok, I hope that all this information will help tourists to get ready for their vacation in this hotel and it will also help the hotel management to improve their service!
