There have been many changes since my last visit, both to the hotel layout and staff. I would like to stay a big Thanks You to Nemo at the pool, Ragab in the restaurant and Karim in the main bar.
The pool area was clean and tidy as ever and the staff were very friendly and always willing to help. There were towels available for everyone and the bar staff were willing to engage with the visitors at the pool for a number of nationalities.
The restaurant staff were were very friendly and willing to please. They were always busy and very helpful.
The staff in the main bar were excellent and provided a brilliant serve. They were always kept busy and very friendly.
Finally I would like to thank the cleaner, Mohamad Irbrahim, who was very efficient and friendly

Stayed one week, upgraded to a pool view room with balcony.
Room lovely and spacious, yet again i don't understand why the flat screen tv is very small lol. But it didn't bother me as i didn't watch TV.
Staff were pleasant and helpful, of course tipping them has that effect..
Food was decent and enough variety.
The Spa was small but cosy.
The location was good, restaurants across the road and plenty of mini markets nearby.
As for the WiFi, it works in the lobby but it's slow. If you want room WiFi, you're better off hiring a WiFi router, go online, there is a good choice of companies that will bring you the router to the hotel for your stay and good price too.
Overall, i had a great time there, will definitely come back.

It was my 4th time in Egypt, but the first at Sharm-el-sheik. I must admit, that the location of Aurora Orienal Resort is the best of possible in that city. It posses big beach, with calm entry to the sea water. Althoug for me, as I'm a snorkeling fan, I must go enormously far to do my favourite water discipline, which was a bit disapointing. Hower the hotels facilities offers trip for snorkelig and other water sports.
About hotel location, it's also worth of mentioning, that it's very close to the airport and to so called "Hard Rock". The last thing I've mentioned is a night club, so to speak. Aurora artistic team invite me for disco at Hard Rock, and I just have to admit, that the party full od R'n'B and other clubbing music was amazing oportunity to dance and simply having fun. As I mentioned about the hotels artistic team, I just like them totally. Very pleasant, talkative and symphatic. Of course I've got pleanty ocassion to have fun with them. Especially I like Salma and Ksienia.
About the food all I can tell, is that I've been to better and worse hotels. It's somewhere in the middle in that case. The food is delicious, but only during supper/evening dinner it's diversificated enough for me. Breakfast is boring. Lunch at main resturant is OK, but snack at the beach bar could be much more diversificated and given in longer period of time.
I'm here completly alone, so it's very important to mention, that the waiters in main resturant helps me a lot. They really kind.
Reception and other employess are also very kind.
My room was cleared everyday, and everyday my towels were new, and I was provided with new shampoo and shower gel buttles. About bottles, everyday I was served two 1,5 l bottles od water to my room.
My room was very big, and posses everything for holidays without any worries and doubts.
Frankly, my general opiniom about Aurora Orienal Resort is very good, and if I'll be sometime in Sinay Penisula again, I would choose that hotel again.

The staff clearly needs basic training to be able to deal with hotel guests as they are so unprofessional and have an attitude especially if you dont tip them.

I requested water more than six times from the room service but i got nothing, i also ordered coffee and their response was “for your info you will Get your coffee late and it will be served cold do you still want your coffee?”

They clean the rooms but dont change towels and they leave the same plastic cups that are already used before for coffee.

I witnessed a room service staff member cursing a Russian guest in arabic because she had a problem with her room keys and they couldnt solve her problem

Funny thing I also witnessed a “fight” between two housekeeping staff members who where literally chasing each other in the reception and cursing with the worst words you can hear and alot of children where present at the moment

I was staying for five nights but i ended up checking out after two nights because of the weird experience i had
So their response was we will not let your buss go inside to pick you up and take your luggage, you have to walk all the way to the hotel gate on the road and carry your bags and when i threatened to report the incident they laughed and said go ahead, btw we where a family of 13 mostly women and kids

Such a disappointment. This hotel was obviously once very successful but is now really very dated and run-down, with poor quality facilities, food and service.

We visited as a quick getaway with our 2 year old daughter, excited at the prospect of a great kids club and what looked like a good kids playground. On arrival nobody mentioned that both were closed and unavailable. This was due to maintenance work being carried out in the pool area at the back.

On arrival there was no cot or bed in our room for our little one, even though she was obviously on the booking. Our bedroom was kept clean but we had to request new sheets as the fitted sheet on our bed was so old and bobbly that it was scratchy to lie on. The shower was broken and we did request it be fixed but it never really worked for our stay. Thankfully we didn’t need the bath rail that was hanging off the wall. Hairdryer dangerously hot and ineffective.

The food is poor quality, soggy and unvaried. Tall glass cabinets protect each item so you have to request what you want from a grumpy member of staff to plate you up with. This means you are unlikely to get what you’re pointing at because the person can’t see or hear you properly. No food choices for kids. Morning coffee of terrible quality served from an instant machine in the corner and served in paper cups. We were desperate for a good cup by the end of the week.
Poor quality alcoholic drinks, served in tiny glasses and 3/4 full. Beer warm.
In fairness, the pool area was always well cleaned but it is really dated and needs some attention (bridges painting etc). There were a couple of random kids play items but they were broken and dangerous (no sand in sandpit and handles missing on the Dino). Surely much better to take them away???

The gardens we thought were very pretty and well-maintained but the path to the beach dangerous. When we were there it looked like this was being seen to but be careful.
The staff need some customer engagement training. With a couple of exceptions, they were miserable, unfriendly and, at times, rude.
Shout out to the kids animation team, however, who do put on a great quality kids disco every eve which really saved our bacon with our toddler!

If you want cheap, with no frills, are planning to eat out and spend time at the beach without kids, this might be ok. Otherwise steer clear as we are so disappointed.

We had good first impressions of this hotel, when we arrived check in was quick and we were shown to our room which was clean and spacious. The staff were all very friendly.

Dinner was a disappointment, the food is bland and there isn’t much choice for a fussy eater. This didn’t improve much during the holiday, there was always some sort of beef stew available, a fish dish, a soup, pasta, some veg and rice. There was a barbecued meat every night, the duck was the nicest but not much flavour to anything, these were always on the bone as well. There were no simple foods like plain rice, chips, boneless grilled chicken or pizza at dinner.

Breakfast was ok but we had to queue for omelette, boiled and fried eggs and some mornings we were there for 10 minutes which can be frustrating, especially when there is no orderly queue and people are getting served before you when you’ve been stood there for ages.

The pool areas were lovely and clean, again the staff were really great and will help you set up your sun beds. We also booked a snorkelling trip down at the beach which we enjoyed, the corals were beautiful, it’s worth a trip.

We had a massage at the hotel, the sauna and steam room is a little dated, but fine. The spa treatment room was really nice, we did have to ask for softer massages during treatment though as they were more like sports massages than relaxing ones, really painful to begin with but enjoyable after this, it’s worth a visit as it’s much cheaper than back in England.

The first few days we were at the hotel housekeeping were really friendly we would see the same guy a few times a day and he would always greet us. We had towel arrangements and petals left on the bed which were lovely. Then one day we had three one pound coins go missing off the side in our room. We didn’t say anything at the time as didn’t want to get anyone in trouble over just £3 however after this our service was awful. No more arrangement in the room. We came back one day and they had taken our towels but given us no new ones. Two calls to reception and an hour later they brought us some. They didn’t make our bed one day just came in and emptied the bin, forgot to give us toilet roll etc. It isn’t what you expect.

My last moan will be about the wifi it’s the worst! You can only connect when in the lobby and because so many people are trying to use it nothing loads. As business owners we needed to check our business emails and online diary but couldn’t do this. There is a Vodafone phone shop just opposite the hotel and we had to go and buy a SIM card for our stay, about £12 for 16gb.

There is also a sports bar called Bus Stop opposite which will show any sports for you, drinks are reasonable in there. The Hard Rock Cafe is just next door to the left and then there is McDonald’s and KFC just further down the road to the left if you fancied a change.

Overall this hotel isn’t anything special, it’s very average and not somewhere we would come back to in a hurry but as a cheap last minute holiday we booked we got what we paid for.

We spent 1 week at this hotel from the 16th July 22, we arrived late in the evening and was supplied with some bread and cheese.
There was 3 of us in my room and only towels for 2, this continued all week, even though every day I went to reception to ask for 3 towels!!!
There was a large dirty hair ball in my bed and pubes in the bath.
The hotel is totally run down and in need of a re-vamp, the hotel is not at all suitable for anyone with mobility issues…There was no lifts available, and the paths are so old that my 83 year old able bodied mum was unable to safely walk around unaided, this was not ever advertised.
90 percentage of our party got the sickness and diarrhoea bug and still are having issues since being home… no wonder really as everywhere was dirty…. The pool had bugs slime, snot all sorts in it… I never once witnessed it being cleaned. The restaurant toilets never had soap even though I complained daily.
The photographer on our first couple of days begged for money as he told us he had troubles.
One of the entertainment reps offered my nephew a room and a girl for £100…
The restaurant was so dirty, every morning was the last nights mess on the floor.
One day a child poo’ed in the pool and it was just scooped out… no new chemicals!! When we retired home my son ears where bleeding from a very bad infection… GP said it was from contaminated water.
I could go on but you get the point… I must say Rio one of the entertainment staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. Also jemal was nice who sold us our trips!!!

Dear Mr. Warm greetings from Aurora oriental Resort. Thank you for letting us know your feedback about your stay at our resort. Regarding your comments about coronavirus Precautionary measures we have to strongly disagree with your conclusions in this regard. Our hotel Aurora oriental Resort has received the international Health & Hygiene Certificate COVID-19. We are implementing serious measures based on the international recommendations issued by the world health organization and other international organizations plus the National regulations. Rooms will be disinfected according to WHO standard and cleaned and cleaned upon request of the guest . I spent the last week of April in this hotel. It has a beautiful, well-kept and large garden, the beach is nice and also well-kept. In many places there are a diffusers to disinfect hands. The bathrooms on the beach are very clean and the building is often cleaned in the same way. The staff of the hotel (waiters, bartenders, room service, beach service) deserves praise and in particular the animator team!, who will take you to games and activities, they are smiling and provide a lot of fun and you feel like friends with them. Thanks to them I had a great vacation. All staff are smiling, helpful and friendly. I think I have never met such a nice welcome of tourists by all hotel employees as in Aurora. What I judge poorly is the food (taste and choice), serving drinks in small plastic cups (sorry for the planet), the water in the pool was cold and the pools themselves require renovation (the hotel is slowly too) Nevertheless, I had a very pleasant vacation in Aurora. Best regards to Max, Haya, Brazily and Woodie.

Teimuraz Ormotsadze and my wife Nino Pipia, who were in Sharm el-Sheikh, Hotel Aurora, would like to thank the hotel administration, in particular our gratitude to the hotel staff and each of the kitchen staff.
So far we could not say thanks because of the very famous Covid 19;
These recent days, a virtual trip to the Aurora Hotel "Paradise of the Country" has made life better. We will be with you at the first opportunity.

As for the attention of travelers to this city, in a nutshell I can tell you that Aurora is one of the best: cleanliness, service, relaxation and a group of young people from around the world who take care of the fun every night.
Many thanks to Sharm el-Sheikh, in particular to Aurora and her administration.

We have just arrived back home from this resort .
First impressions a nice resort with private beach , 3 swimming pools , 1 which is heated.
On arrival we was greeted by a lovely lady on front desk , who checked us in quickly and efficiently.
We was taken to our room which was very big , very comfy king size bed and decent sized balcony.
The room was a bit dated but we was happy with it.
We arrived at 2pm in the afternoon, so we just went down to the pool and chilled out after our flight.
Our first full day we went down to the private beach and there was a small area where music was playing and a beach bar and cafe area which we made use of for lunches .
On returning to our room we found that the cleaner hadn't been in and the bed wasn't made and no clean towels , so I rang reception and straight away they sent someone up to clean the room.
Our second day we arrived back at our room from a full day on the beach to find the cleaner had been in and made the bed and removed our dirty towels , only thing was he didn't leave any clean ones, so we had no towels and needed a shower , I rang reception and they said they would send some up immediately, unfortunately it took another 3 calls to reception and I also had to go down to reception to try and get some towels .
Eventually the towels arrived and when they was handed to me they was very warm , so I think they had been drying them.
The Mahabra restaurant, well what can I say , Mohamed the restaurant manager made our stay here , he looked after all the 5 days we was here . He would have a table ready for us every time we went in and would get our drinks, always asking if we was OK and if we needed anything else, this man os an absolute delight and couldn't do enough for us, anyone that does stay here look out for this guy... he is the best.
The lobby bar is next , we went here after dinner to chill out with a few cocktails and let our dinner settle, unfortunately the cocktails were served in plastic glasses and tastes like they was watered down, so they wasn't very nice unlike the beach and pool bars .
On the whole we had a great stay here just a few things let it down a little bit .

I asked the same question at the start o the month, returned home from sharm today. They love either pound coins o English notes. They also love usd. We tipped the pool guy and the pool bar guy a few pounds , they remember you and look after daily. Also tipped the restaurant manager and he had a table and drinks ready every meal time. £1 is equivalent to 60 Egyptian pound so they are very grateful for what ever yo can give. I only found that their cash points only have Egyptian currency
