The most local thing is the hotel, the animation team, frankly, and I would like to thank Ahmed Messi, Vika, Abdo and etoo The rooms are very good, the restaurant was bad, and I had a very bad and excellent bar. The parties that are made by this animation team are the most tired people to make people laugh The cleanliness of the hotel is very nice. I would like to amend the restaurant and bar. I advise people to spend their vacation in Palmyra Qamar Al-Zaman.

I was very interested in this resort, that`s why I often took pictures of beautiful places there. We were very lucky with the weather. The sea was warm. That is why my daighter and I swam for a long time in the sea or in the pool.It was funny!

In the evening we went to the park or to the restaurant. There were a lot of patient people, who work there. I tried all and I liked it very mmuch The service was excellent !!!!!!

We had a very interesting menu for our breakfasts, dinners and suppers. There is a lot of fruit in it.

We stayed in the hotel. There was a garden near it. There were many flowers in the garden. I quite recommend the hotel "Palmyra".
It was the best holiday in my life!

I put this 3 stars only for animation team (Buddha, Messi, Anya And Etoo) because they are the only very good people in this hotel. Fine and cheerful guys. Entertain people. And They always help with different questions. I would come back to this hotel to see the guys again.

A terrible restaurant experience where you see they are treating guests as they are at the staff cafeteria. No food variety, very poor quality, no consideration to dietary needs or kids food. chefs are mixing items in one plate and hand it to guests. Long queue to have plates and almost one hour until someone brought a spoon.the chefs had to say nothing. It ended that i had to eat rice with salad after paid for all inclusive package.

Bought as "all inclusive", but that was "all wrong". No wi-fi. No meal schedules as was in the offer. Only one bar and one restaurant open. Only cold water in swimming pols. Problems with beach bus (goes once a day but they change the hours unexpectedly). Problems with hot water in the shower. Problems with alcohols in the bar. No animations. No water slides working. Rooms need to be renovated immediately. Every local people we met said that this is the worst hotel in the area.

After viewing some of the reports about this hotel I would like to correct some of the half truths that have been written.
We stayed at this hotel over Christmas and New year 2005/6.
Although the hotel is not 4 star we had a good time.
If you have booked or are about to book this hotel you will be looking for some reassurances.

The Hotel is on the take off flight path around 2/3 miles away from the airport, you will get noise between 3 and 5 daily its not a problem.

Water was free when we were there.

Food is average but wholesome, breakfasts were great,
you will not starve, we put on weight.

The twice weekly chargeable special meals are great, well worth the money, eaten in the oriental corner. This area is also great to go into at night.

You will be bothered by flies around the pool, take some strong repellent.

The pool is freezing, but once you are in its great.

The staff are fantastic, get to know them,we tipped the waiters and staff at the BEGINNING of the day around a pound a day,you dont have to, but watch them go for you.

The hygiene is very high but most people get the runs, its a problem all over Eygpt for us delicate westeners, it soon goes.

The location of the hotel is in an area under construction, it does not bother you, once inside the grounds you could be anywhere.

To sum up the Hotel is cheap and cheerful if the sun is shining it will be great. if you are looking for 5 star luxury try another Hotel, along with the price tag of course.

My friend and i (both 21) have just got back from a week at the wonderful Three Corners Palmyra Resort!

After reading the reviews i was a little worried about going - but how anybody could find anything to moan about on this holiday i will never know! We had a brilliant time! Some people are just never satisfied!

The hotel was lovely, there is a huge swimming pool with lagoon area, plenty of sun loungers for all to use. I thought the pool bar was a great touch, it was lovely being able to jump into the pool to cool off then swim to get a drink!

All the grounds in the hotel are spotless and the staff would bend over backwards for you. They really made us feel welcome from the second we arrived.

I just have to tell you now - if you are planning on going on any trips then make sure you go on the camel ride through the desert (think its called the Arabian Nights trip or something like that!) once you are in the desert you get to eat food, dance with the Bedwins and listen to stories about how they live. Then about 15mins star gazing - its so relaxing. Honestly though, this trip is an amazing experience not to be missed!

The hotel is a short (free) shuttle bus ride from the beach - and id advise you buy some water shoes (only about £3.50 from the hotel) so that you can walk on the coral.

Na'ama bay is about a 15 min (free) shuttle bus ride away and that is where all the night life is. Definitely visit the Camel Bar, its great, and there is a relaxing terrace area upstairs too. We spent our last night in Pacha and had a wicked night.

Well, i could carry on telling you my stories all day! You just need to visit this place so you too can bore all your friends and family with stories like mine! x

The hotel is located right under the fligh path of the main airport, so you can get a very close up view of the under carriage of the planes as they fly overhead while you're relaxing by the pool.
We were 'upgraded' to a honeymoon suite, however the usual plumbing problems you might expect ruined what could have been a great 'treat'. The reception were slow to send staff to resolve the matter unless you went to them instead of phoning.

The biggest problem was the awful, nasty food, which when you're staying AI is something they've got to sort. A complete lack of variety - no word of a lie the same thing each breakfast, lunch or dinner. Only twice during our 2 weeks was the food hot and even when freshly cooked food was brought from the kitchen it was cold.

Staff were friendly enough, drinks were free (wine included during our second week as long as we wore plastic braclets - which NO WORD OF A LIE were hospital identity tages!!!)

Pool was large and generally there was enough loungers.

Best thing was Mohammed the Dive Instructer at Extra Divers, based at the hotel. Excellent instructor and guide - filled you with confidence and did an informative briefing before each dive and really looked after us. No hesitations in recommending him to anyone diving in Red Sea.

All in all would go back to Sharm but not to this hotel. We didn't expect the world though as had paid less than £960 for the fortnight for the two of us, so didn't have high expectations - we wern't disappointed.

Stayed in The Palmyra between 15th-30th August 2007. We were a party of seven aged 65, 47,45,44,42, 15&15. Collectively its our eighth trip to Egypt. I only say this not to try and impress but to let you know a bit about the place. First of all let me say straight away that I would return to The Palmyra Hotel without hesitation. We all had a marvellous two weeks thanks to the friendly atmosphere and hard work of all the staff, who do everything they can to make your stay as good as it can be.

The layout of the hotel is second to none. There are 5 pools arranged around the grounds, two of which have pool bars and the other three are set out behind and next to the room blocks. This meant that from our balcony we faced two pools and if we walked out of the front door we faced another. If you want peace and quiet and just like to lay in the sun all day this was perfect. I’ve included a photo to show how busy this pool was during the height of the season ( I think that one day there were six people around the pool, but that was rush hour ).

We’ve stayed in the Three Corners chain three times before and at the end of the first week we were invited to the Managers Cocktail party. Now I’ve been to these before where they try and sell you a time share or flat. Not so in this hotel. Mr Ahmed Khairy, The General Manager, Katrina Rzasa from customer relations and the duty manager sat in front of a group of 13 people and quiet openly asked, ‘How can we make this hotel better’ & ‘Do you have any complaints?’ There was only one suggestion made and that was that Polish people like hot milk and honey with their cornflakes so could this be arranged. Two days later two new hot milk machines were up and running. These people are trying so hard to make everything work for you. The manager was in the bar every night and if there was a problem he wanted to know about it. What a nice man.

I’m not going to review the food because it’s so personal. If they serve filet steak and lobster every day and you don’t happen to like filet steak or lobster then you won’t think much of the food. Suffice to say there was loads of freshly cooked, hot food every meal. We liked it a lot and found plenty to enjoy at every meal. In the restaurant the assistant food & beverage manager Mr Ibrahim was always there asking if everything was ok or whether we wanted the chef to cook us something else.
I’m writing on this site because this is the site that the manager reads every day. He wants to know what people think and asked if we didn’t mind taking a minute to write a couple of lines.

The staff are excellent, the three Ahmed’s in the reception bar and in the disco along with Amro at the pool bar worked non-stop to keep me supplied with beer without the need to actually get out of my seat to get it. Nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile and, ‘It’s a pleasure sir‘. Nice, hard working people trying their best.

The animation team led by Tito were non-stop all the time, not invasive they didn’t badger you but if you fancied a game of something they always let you know.
The shows are typical of the resort. This isn’t Vegas, there are no top acts just some people doing their best. Your on holiday, have another beer and join in.

And before I take up all my quota of words a word about the weather. August is hot and I was ill. No-one’s fault only mine, nothing to do with the food or the hotel. The weather was in the 50’s and I didn’t drink enough water. If you go in peak season you have to drink buckets of the stuff. I thought I had but I hadn’t.

Already booked to go to Egypt again next year and two of the group are going back to The Palmyra in June. It’s a great place to go, give it a try.

I will start with aquote from the manager 'This is not the best hotel in Sharm - I know that'
He is right there will be better hotels but they will cost far more than this did and i wonder whetherthey would provide the same family feeling.
i was wary about going to this hotel initially as my previous experinces of all inclusive wasn't great. However we have just returend from an excellent two weeks. We arrievd late at night having booked it all separately we had to get a taxi from the airport only about a 5 minute ride away this was the only time I felt ripped off i knew the cost should have been no more than 5-10 pounds english but i couldn't get the taxi driver to leave for anything less than 20 pounds in future i would contact the hotel and get them to send the taxi firm that the hotel uses.

On arrival at reception we were booked in very quickly and our luggage taken to our room as the restaurant was closed a plated meal was sent to our room this was basically cold meat cheese salad and bread rolls. which although basic was enough to tide us over until the next morning and more than i have had at other hotels when arriving after the restaurant has finished.

The rooms were very clean and kept so by our cleaner who arranged the towels on the beds every day in some shape or other, flowers people crocodiles swans. All little things but so much nicer than just folded towels in the bathroom.

The pool was excellent in fact the hotel has threee pool a shallow one for small children the main pool which is still fairly shallow and at the deep end only about 4 feet deep so still safe for small children. Then there is a third little used pool which is quite large and then has a connecting river to a small lagoon type pool. There is a bar by the side of the childrens pool and a swim up bar in the main pool. drinks were plentiful and little time spent queuing or waiting for service. All the staff were helpful and friendly and genuinely like the english this was the same throughout the hotel.

The restaurant staff were also good and though the restaurant is fairly small for a hotel of this size we rarely had to wait for a table Girgis (george) who was in charge of the restaurant was helpful friendly and would always find a table very quickly for us.

The food was plentiful and good yes it is not english food but if you want that go to blackpool and one a week they had an egyptian night on the terrace infront of the restaurant. This was my favourite night for food. There was somethiong for everyone and they frequently had chips on the menu for the really fussy.

A few people in the hotel did suffer from the runs but this would be more due to the change of climate and food & drink type rather than the quality or cleanliness of the food. We had no problems this year with the bad stomachs apart from after eating out at the hard rock cafe!

There a re a few things availbale round the pool massages, sand bottles, henna tatoos and a couple of guys selling trips. However there was no hassle if you wanted to be left alone they did do and were always polite and friendly.

The animation team were busy all day long providing things to do during the day and in the evening but again there was no hassle if you wanted to do your own thing they were all very friedly and took time out to make everyone especially the kids feel welcome.

Another mention must go to Kamal the head housekeepr who was always in reception and ready to solve any issues with your stay in the hotel. We did talk to him quite a lot but not becasue we had any problems just cos he was a frinedly and helpful guy.

The hotel runs a free bus to its own beach about 5 minutes away. This is not a beach for kids to play on unsupervised. the water is very shallow for about 50 metres but it is all rock under the water so you need a pair of water shoes (which you can buy from the hotel if you don't have any for about 3 quid) after about 50m there is some coral and then a sheer drop so deep you cannot see the bottom. However the snorkelling here is fantastic even in the shallows before the drop you get fish swimming round your feet. I didn't make the trip to sharks bay but some people we met did and they said the htoel beach was as good as if not better fro snorkelling than sharks bay.

the hotel also runs a bus nightly(except sunday) to naama bay where there is loads of shops restautrants and cafes (including the hard rock cafe) definately worth a visit and if the times fo the bus don't suit you can get a atxi fro about a tenner return from the hotel. Yes you will get a bit of hassel but to be honest no more than any other tourist destination i have been to and certainly less agressive than timeshare sales you meet in Spain. And if you don't want to stop then you just wave your hand keep going and they will find someone else to speak to.

On sunday nights the hotel lays on quite a few buses to go tot he old market which again is worth a visit and can be easily reached by taxi if you would rather.

al in all we ad an excellent holdiay i would recommend this hotel to anybody I certainly hope to return again. I will finsihs by answering the mangers quote you might not have the most prestigious hotel in sharm but you have a friendly well run hotel the staff are a credit to you and in my opinion even the best hotel would be hard pushed to better the service and holdiay you provided
