The room where I had stayed was in a terrible condition. Bathroom and room need a huge improvement from floor tiling to wall painting. There is a window leak as it was raining. Bathroom door was disgusting dirty and shower floor was really gross. 300 quetzals does not justify. It is overpriced. There is Room for improvement.

This isn't the sort of hotel I usually choose on holiday, but I was studying Spanish in the town and the other accommodation option was a homestay. On that basis, I wasn't upset about the lack of hot water, the fact that the room was fairly sparse (bed, chair, table) or the lack of wifi. What I did get, for...

The places featured in English language magazines and pamphlets are all over-run with non-Guatemalans. OK for those who don't want to interact with locals, but we keep wondering why someone like that would travel. I would not recommend this place as the reception was like completely improvised. There was noone at night (so anyone can enter ?) In term of cleanliness it was just average. The big issue was the noise of the place at night, because a big family group used the swimming pool after midnight, and shouts and even put music on....
