An absolutely beautiful castle/hotel with a swimming pool. The room (205) was large and beautiful, with a nice sitting area and a swing at the front.  There was a welcome ceremony for guests, and there were lots of activities, although somewhat expensive, offers by the hotel, including massage and henna painting. WiFi at the reception area only, hot water was...

This hotel is a magical place to get away from it all. We stayed for 10 nights as part of a group and were hence able to take part in a lot of the activities offered. Our room was in the old building and we felt like royalty stepping into it! Hot water was always plentiful and the rooms were...

Castle Bijaipur is a wonderful place to relax and experience rural India. Just go with the flow and everything will work out fine. You can cycle, ride horses, swim or sit around the pool drinking a G and T while reading a book. The staff are genuinely helpful and KP is an excellent guide for bird watching in the locality....

Gorgeous buildings with just the right amount of crumbling plaster work. If you are looking for a "Best Marigold Hotel" experience then this is pretty close. All sorts of romantic sitting areas with cushions, curtains and swings. Very attentive and friendly staff. A lovely young lady did some henna painting for me. The surrounding area is rural and very interesting....

This is the third time I've stayed at this wonderful 13 generational family-owned Heritage Hotel. We were given a room in the new wing - our room was very spacious, air con, with a separate sitting area, wardrobe area and a large bathroom. We were greeted, as is often the practise in India, with marigold garlands and live musicians to...

Have mixed feelings about this place. Stayed as part of an Intrepid Tour....not many other guests at the time so it was a different experience. Also no idea (nor interest) in the room costs as such. Heaps of old world charm blended with grandeur of days gone by but I was strangely hit by the contrast of how the "haves"...

A lovely, genuinely old heritage hotel, built about 350 years ago. Dinner around the pool, by candlelight was lovely. We had the pleasure of a couple of chats with the Maharajah, whose family has lived here for 13 generations - gracious host indeed, whose sons now run the business. Free wifi is available but is restricted to the reception area....
