Absolutely loved this place! All of the staff were so kind and welcoming. The rooms were really comfortable, especially the beds. Some free water offered in the mini fridge which is always nice and a delicious breakfast in the morning. I also really liked the location, pretty walkable to get to some of the main parts of the historical park or close to the bike rentals if you'd prefer to use those. All in all a great stay!

Review Don’t hesitate staying here! We haven’t been to Thailand in about 10 years, and we’ve never been to Ayutthaya before. We’ve stayed at several home stays, but this one was by far the best! We stayed in room 12 which was upstairs which has its own bathroom right in the room. I think it was called a deluxe double. The reviews are high for a reason, and they are positive because of these reasons. 1. The greeting we received from the owner was very friendly and professional. She shared a map and highlighted the key landmarks and recommended the best restaurant on the River which was only about 10 minutes away on foot. It’s called BaanMaiRimNun. The portions we big and well priced. 2. The room was extremely clean and smelled amazing! All sheets are washed, hung outside to dry, hand pressed, and smelled great even after three days. She offered to clean our room, but we didn’t feel it was necessary since it was still very clean, and we only stayed 3 days. We never saw insects except for a few mosquitoes at breakfast. I’ve stayed in some home stays with some large bugs, so I was worried. But this wasn’t a problem at all! 3. We requested wash and dry service, and she was able to quickly get them back to us. I’d recommend giving her at least a full day or two to get them back to you. She accommodated this short notice the night before checkout, but it would have been better for us to give her more time. 4. Breakfast was simple, BUT the quality was very good and delicious. We got to choose one main dish per person and unlimited toast and coffee. They served fruit and jam upon arriving downstairs. Some of the foreigners were a bit rude, and the parents let their kids cough all over the bread. Of course, this isn’t the fault of the owners. It’s just the nature of some of the people that travel to Thailand from other countries. 5. As some other reviewers have noted, the front rooms are no longer available/used perhaps because of the noisy road. Our room was the next one right behind these, and we barely noticed the noise, especially at night when there is much less traffic. We shut the wooden shutters, and we couldn’t hear much noise. We also slept early because of working on West Coast time in the US. But the light was totally blocked out and noise was very low. If you are a very light sleeper, I’d recommend brining eat plugs to anywhere in Thailand. 6. The location was less than 10-20 minutes from almost anywhere in Ayutthaya or a 100 bhat tuktuk. There’s also a very nice evening restaurant area which opens at 3:00 pm near the closest 7-11. We loved eating at the restaurant right in front of the nearby 7-11. The lady there was very friendly and the food was pretty good. Not sure of the name as it was in Thai, but I’ll try posting pictures in each review. Overall, we’d definitely like to stay much longer next time, and we’d come back just to stay here. As mentioned above, the reviews are high for a reason. I’d truthfully like to stay a couple of weeks because it was very peaceful, and we felt very welcomed and at home because of the owner(s). The clean rooms and their personality makes this place special. Don’t hesitate to stay here! I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much for your kindness and clean hospitality!

Luang Chumni Village is a traditional Thai-style home that is utilized as a guesthouse in convenient location. It's located in the heart of Ayutthaya, It's only a short walk away from the many historical places. A 5-min walk to the enormous Wat MahaThat. The hotel is a 5-minute drive to National Museum, Ayutthaya Railway Station and the bus terminal. Rooms are furnished in traditional style and have a double bed with a mosquito net. Outside of the room are a small balcony with a view of the moat and bridges. The guesthouse is surrounded by moats filled with water and big fishes. Free breakfast is available in an attractive open eating area. Shower facilities are in a private bathroom, located downstairs. Luang Chumni features bicycle rental / air-conditioned room / Free parking on site. If you are staying in Bangkok or Pattaya and you want to have a short visit from Ayutthaya old city, it's a good idea to rent a car and drive to the city and spend 3-4 days in Ayutthaya and reside in Luang Chumni imaginary home. It would be a Spiritual Journey that makes you relaxed and meditated because Ayutthaya is not such a touristic and crowded place but it's a very calm and quiet place with sacred atmosphere.

This traditional styled lodging is a gem. The price was super reasonable for the charming private rooms; my son and I shared adjoining suites and we really enjoyed having our own little sitting room for morning coffee. The woman who checked us in was cheerful and helpful with directions around town. The ample breakfast in the main house is sufficient to get you going for the day, and they were willing to accommodate alterations to their egg menu- they cook them up for you when you arrive in the dining room. A nice sized fresh fruit platter is also brought to your table. Because we arrived in the cool, dry season (December), the pond around the place was dry and the grounds, although tidy, were a missed opportunity for a real oasis. Fortunately, that meant mosquitoes were not a concern. Would definitely recommend. The only drawback was that the bed was a bit hard for my middle-aged bones, but linens were clean and crisp, and ample clean towels were provided along with bottled water in our own little mini-fridge. We were really glad to have stayed here.

Had an amazing stay at Luang Chumni Village. The room was beautiful the bed was super comfortable, tho I like a fairly firm mattress, the shower was great and all very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We are veggie so just had scrambled eggs, toast and fruit for breakfast but you can help yourself to toast and coffee etc, it was very tasty. Oh and air-conditioning and a fridge in our room which was very welcome in 33°c temp. It's also a great place to get to all the ruined temples, we hired bikes from the guesthouse to explore with. All in all we had a great start to our Thailand honeymoon.

My friends and I stayed here for only 1 night but it's a very good experience here. Peaceful Thai style house, super clean, very friendly owner. You should visit here at least once if you're in Ayutthaya. The only thing I'm not very fancy is that the restroom is located in another floor so it's not very convenient to go there in the middle of the night. But again, everything is very clean and nice. You'll always feel welcome here. I wish I could take another night here :)

I just stayed one night, and it was a good experience. The staff were quite helpful although you don't see them much. There were just two units I saw, numbered 3 and 4. It was quite cool having a ‘traditional’ Thai style room. It was big enough for one but would be squished with two, and the doorway makes you duck. I was worried about "there is no bed, just a mattress". In fact the bed has no frame, otherwise it’s just the same as a standard hotel bed. There is an odd setup for breakfast with a cafe on the other road frontage. But it just meant a little walk and initial confusion. The steps down to your private bathroom are shared so no nude streaks to the toilet.
