A nice budget place to stay with a pool. It is on a main road so the traffic noise could keep some people awake but we managed to sleep well. The bathroom is shared which is the only thing I didn't like. There are good cheap food stalls in the area which are great value. Eating at the hotel was...

when travelling Thailand we decided to take a break in Ayutthaya; on itself a logical choice because it offers a good view on the history of Siam. We checked for availability and stumbled upon this cozy little guest house. It features a nice pool in the courtyard, an awesome breakfast( yoghurt with muesli and fruit!!!) for little money. The owners...

Great location close to ruins and right on wide main road. Enjoyed the food and the small size of the place for quick attention. The price was well worth it. Would consider staying here on a future visit in order to enjoy the very clean pool. Even if not staying here they allow others to use the pool for a...

Stayed here for 3 nights. You can tell it is owned by a British couple because even though it is run by a couple of very nice Thai people, all the signs are in perfect english. This hotel has only 4 rooms (all upstairs)., 2 with fan and 2 with air conditioning. Rooms are fairly small and the bathroom is...

So I, being a person who tries to do things the right way, booked a room here in advance instead of being just another dumb walk-in backpacker. Well that didn't pay off because all it took was a couple of French girls to walk in 20 minutes before we arrived with that all powerful cash to make the girl at...

Basic but great guesthouse. We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip through Thailand & Cambodia. Rooms are basic but fine. The pool is really nice. The guesthouse is very close to the archeological sites. Overall a pleasant stay.

Compared to the other accomodations available in Ayutthaya, I think that Sherwood House is one of the best value for money. We've visited 2 or 3 dirty and/or noisy and/or expensive guesthouses in the city center before getting at Sherwood. We had a clean and comfortable AC room with shared bathroom for just 450 baths (good price for this type...

So this was the only place I could find to book my trip to Ayutthaya that wasn't an expensive hotel, and I was pleased to find it. It's in a good location, in walking distance from the sights and some great food, I got a double room to myself for a great, low price, and the owners and management are...

I visited in November 2010. Why three stars? Well, there was nothing remarkable about the place, other than a free swimming pool, which I did not utilized, but it is there, so enjoy. There is a market nearby for your dose of Pad Thai every night, and there was a fair when I was there (very cool). Rent a bicycle...

We stayed here for two nights and it was fine. We paid 480TBH for an a/c room; it was spacious, the a/c worked really well and there was a fan too. The beds weren't very comfortable, but not the worst we've had... however, the sheets were pretty dirty. Also, the bin in our room hadn't been emptied from the previous...
