Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Charming place, but very basic. Showering = turning the bathroom in a swimming pool. The ‘silent mode’ of the airco wasn’t working well. The breakfast was a bit poor. Very friendly staff, always prepared to help you out or give you tips.

We had a very pleasant stay at Baifern Homestay. It’s lovely to have the experience to sleep in the environment of a Thai family. The rooms are nice and clean. The beds are a little hard, but that’s Asian style. They helped us with a nice temple tour. They cooked us a delicious meal and we watched the little kittens play in the garden.

We arrived tired late in the afternoon and were very warmly welcome by all the members of the family in a beautifully decorated room with local wooden furniture and tasteful red curtains and furnishings. We even had our own sofa with comfortable cushions to sit outside in front of our room. We took a walk in the historical park just out of the door of the homestay, you won't believe it, with relics of the ancient Ayuttaya temples immeditely and freely accessible. At sunset it was almost a mystical experience. It was only little by little that we discovered all the little secrets and innumerable surprises of the lush tropical garden of the house created with passion and taste by the kind Thai lady owning it. In addition to the handicrafted local furniture, there is a giant sculpted rocking chair, statues of local divinities, multicoloured parrots perching on the trees, several rocking sofas to relax in the garden, magnificent jars, some docorated and painted, lush flowers cascading down the balcony from the first floor, and even statues of little rabbits peeping through the leaves. After the disappointment of the mediocre cuisine in town we had a very tasteful and authentic dinner with masaman and green curry prepared by the lady, I would recommend it as the best restarant in town! Berney, the Australian husband was a very relaxing presence in the house, always open to friendly conversation and Baifern, the daughter was extremely helpful and efficient, she was able to handle a difficult situation without ever losing her patience and kindness.I would recommend Baifern as a truly special experience

The ambiance is nice, but the rooms are not. The shower is literally above the toilet, molds everywhere, no plugs, a tough bed and about 15 cats trying to steal your breakfast. No thanks. Otherwise would be fine. If you already booked and you need to sit out your time : The springrolls with an ice cold Chang beer were very nice.

We only stayed here for two days, but had a great stay. Basic and clean rooms, really delicious and local food made by the lady of the house and cosy patio to sit outside. Really worth a stay if you are in the neighbourhood for some sightseeing!

Basic, but comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Very close to the new night market (Friday-Sunday). If you don't like cats, it might not be the best place to stay, since they have a lot of very lovely cats roaming around the house. Nice place to stay when visiting the ancient capital of Siam!

We enjoyed staying at Baifern! Very beautiful place, clean room, comfortable bed, the breakfast area and the garden are so beautiful! The owners are very friendly and helpful. The Thai massage there is very nice. We would recommend this Homestay to anybody visiting Ayutthaya, except those who are allergic to cats, as there are several cats wondering around.

We enjoyed our stay at the Baifern Homestay. The family is very kind and respectful. It felt very quiet and peaceful there...very much felt at home in the surroundings. The only reason I didn't give it the highest rating was because of the shower conditions. It was nearly impossible to take a shower in the bathrooms there. I would, however, stay there again, because of the location, friendliness of people, and peaceful feeling we felt there.
